Determination of Synthetic Food Colours by HPLC with Photodiode Array Detector (HPLC를 이용한 타르색소의 분리정량)

  • A simple, rapid, efficient method is for extraction of 13 synthetic water-soluble food colours (Tartrazine, Amarnth, Indigo carmine, New coccine, Sunset yellow FCF, Allura red AC, Eosine, Fast Green FCF, Brilliant Blue FCF, Erythrosine, Acid red, phloxine, Rose Bengal) by polyamide resin and for their quantitative by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Colours (coal-tar dyes) were extracted with polyamide resin and then determinated by HPLC. The HPLC conditions using a reverse phase partition type column $(Nova-pak\;C_{18})$, photodiode array (PDA) detector and 1% Ammonium acetate / 60% acetonitrile in water as eluent, were acceptable for various kinds of colorants. By the use of the proposed method, a survey of coal-tar dyes was carried out on 20 samples and that were detected $4.76{\sim}133.47\;ppm$.

  • Uv/ZnO를 이용한 타르색소의 광촉매 분해에 대한 실험적 검토로부터 전 실험범위에서 tartrazine의 분해효과가 brilliant blue FCF보다 높았고. 두 색소 모두 ZnO의 투입량이 증가할수록 분해도가 증가하였으며, $KBrO_3$보다 (${(NH_4)}_2S_2O_{8}$의 분해촉진 효과가 더 컸으나 pH의 영향은 그다지 크지 않은 것으로 나타났다.

  • 독자-필자 문제(readers-writers problem)를 위한 기존의 스케쥴링 정책들은 대부분 독자나 필자 중 어느 한 쪽에 편향된 처리 성향을 가지고 있기 때문에 응답 시간이나 처리량, 둘 중 하나의 성능이 상당히 좋지 않은 특성이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 개선하고자 새로룬 동적 스케쥴링 정책인 CAP(Counter-based Adaptive Priority)을 제안한다. CAP은 동시에 수행될 수 없는 필자에게 가중치를 주는 기법과 소수의 독자를 무작정 지연시키는 것을 막기 위한 에이징(aging) 기법을 동적으로 결합하여 사용하고 있다. CAP은 기는(starvation) 문제를 가지고 있지 않으며 주어진 상황에 동적으로 대응하는 능력을 가지고 있기 때문에 처리량과 응답 시간 모두 FCFS에 비하여 더 우수하다. 제안된 정책에 대한 효과성을 입증하기 위하여 세마포어 기반의 해법을 제시하고 사건-기반 시뮬레이션을 사용하여 기존의 정책들과 성능을 비교하였다.

Automatic design of fuzzy controller using genetic algorithms (유전 알고리즘을 이용한 퍼지 제어기의 자동설계)

  • This paper proposes a genetic fuzzy controller ensemble (FCE) for improving the control performance of of fuzzy controller in the non-linear and complex problems. The design procedure of each fuzzy controller in the FCF consists of the following two stages, each of which is performed by different genetic algorithms. The first stage generates a fuzzy rule base that covers the training examples as many as possible. The second stage builds fine-tuned membership funcitons that make the control error as small as possible. These two stages are repeated independently upon the different partition patterns of input-output variables. The control performance of the proposed method is compared with that of wang and mendel's approach[1] in terms of either the percentage of successful controls reaching to the goal or the average traveling distance.

  • 본 논문에서는 영상처리 기술을 기반으로 한 내부 운전자에게 위협이 될 수 있는 금속 물체를 탐지하기 위한 실시간 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 퍼지 이론을 이용하여 금속물체를 탐지할 수 있는 색상 필터를 설계하여 사용하였다. 차량안의 특정 탐지 영역 내에서 FCF(Fuzzy Skin Filter)를 이용하여 운전자의 얼굴 영역을 탐지하고, 동승자가 위협을 가한다는 가정 하에 손 영역을 탐지한다. 탐지된 동승자의 손 영역을 중심으로 색상기반 원형 탐색기법을 사용하여 최종 금속물체의 후보영역을 설정하고, 금속물체 색상필터를 적용하여 최종적인 금속물체영역을 탐지 한다. 제안된 방법은 여러 실험을 통해 내부 운전자 보호를 위한 금속물체 탐지 시스템의 우수성을 증명한다.

Evaluation of Tar Dyes Used in Commercial Foods (식품 중 합성첨가물 사용실태 조사 연구 -타르색소 중심으로-)

  • This study was carried out to propose a simple method for the extraction of seven tar dyes such as tartrazine, sunset yellow FCF, amaranth, erythrosine, allura red, brilliant blue FCF and indigo carmine using aminopropyl amine cartridge and to determine the content of the dyes in candies, soft drinks, ice bars and okchuns produced in Korea. The tar dyes were simultaneously analyzed by reverse phase high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC). The recovery rates of the dyes ranged from 65.8% to 99.6%. The contents of the dyes in candies, soft drinks, ice bars and octhuns were N.D.∼50.1 mg/kg, N.D.∼49.9 mg/kg, N.D.∼56.0 mg/kg and N.D.∼867.3 mg/kg, respectively. The types of the dyes used most frequently for candies, soft drinks and ice bars were tartrazine, brilliant blue and amaranth, respectively. Of the samples, tartrazine was used frequently, and indigo carmine was not used at all.

Tar Colors in Foods Distributed throughout the Gyeong-In Region;Monitoring Favorite Food Items of Children Near Elementary Schools (경인지역 유통식품 중 타르색소 실태 조사;학교주변 어린이 기호 식품을 중심으로)

  • In Korean, nine tar colors are permitted in foods. This study assessed these compounds in the favorite food items of children found near elementary schools. A total of 439 items categorized under six food types were included in the analysis. The most frequently detected tar colors were tartrazine (Y4), Brilliant Blue FCF (Y5), Allura Red, and Sunset Yellow FCF, respectively. One or a mixture of two tar colors were commonly found in products such as gums, ice bars, soft drinks, and cereals. However, most often, combinations of two or three tar colors were detected. The levels of tar colors in candies, chocolates, gums, ice bars, cereals, and soft drinks were 0.11-1169.58 mg/kg, 0.73-468.02 mg/kg, 0.10-602.46 mg/kg, 0.25-162.32 mg/kg, 0.11-753.68 mg/kg, and 0.21-69.45 mg/kg, respectively. Tar color levels were higher in chocolates and gums than in soft drinks and ice bars. And Y4 and Y5 were detected at the highest levels. For ages 7-12, the total estimated daily intake (${\sum}EDI$) of each tar color ranged from 0.004 to 1.017 mg/day/person. These values were 0.02-5.98% of the FAO/WHO's acceptable daily intake (ADI).

Effects of Irradiation on Color Values of Food Colorants (감마선 조사가 식용색소의 색도에 미치는 영향)

  • As a study on the physico-chemical stability of irradiated food and cosmetics, the effect of gamma irradiation on the color values of some food colorants was evaluated. Amaranth, Fast Green FCF, and Indigo Carmine solutions were prepared with different concentration (0.01 and $0.10\%$), gamma irradiated (0.25, 0.5, 1 and 3 kGy), and then Hunters color (L, a, b, ${\Delta}E$) values were determined. The. gamma irradiation process induced decoloration of the coloring agents. In particular, $0.01\%$ solution showed significant differences in the overall color difference$({\Delta}E)$. The lightness (L value) of Amaranth and Indigo Carmine was increased in proportion to irradiation dose, and their redness (a value) and yellowness (b value) also were increased. The redness (a value) and yellowness (b value) of Fast Green FCF $(0.01\%)$ were increased by gamma irradiation. However, there were no significant spectroscopic differences in $0.10\%$ concentrations of the samples.

  • 식품에 사용되는 식품첨가물의 지정 확대화 및 국제적 조화를 위한 사업으로 한시적 기준규격으로 기 인정된 효소제인 탄나아제, 알파갈락토시다아제, 베타글리코시다아제, 글루타미나아제와 증점안정제의 용도로 사용되는 롤리감마글루탐산 등 총 5품목에 대하여 기준 규격을 신설하였으며, 식품 중 알루미늄 저감화 방안 마련의 일환으로 화학적합성품 중 염기성알루미늄탄산나트륨 1품목을 지정취소하고, 글루콘산칼슘 등 40 품목의 사용기준을 개정하였으며, 황산칼슘 등 6품목의 성분규격을 개정하였다. 또한, 식품첨가물로 인한 통상무역 마찰을 해소하고 식품첨가물 수출입관련 종사자의 편의를 도모하고자 식품첨가물 수출입관련 종사자의 편의를 도모하고자 식품첨가물 영문공전에 미 반영된 품목에 대해 영문화작업을 수행하였으며, 식품첨가물의 국제기준과 조화를 위해 CCFAC(식품첨가물및오염물질분과회의) 및 CCCPL(곡류및두류분과위원회)에서 논의중인 즉석면(instant noodle) 등의 식품첨가물 국제기준 작성 및 제안을 위한 작업을 수행하고 아국의 최종안을 만들어 Codex회의에 즉석면 식품첨가물 목록을 총회에 8단계로 상정하였으며, 즉석면 식품첨가물 목록에서 감미료(아세설팜칼륨, 알리타임 등)삭제 및 타르색소(Tartrazine, Sunset Yellow FCF, amaranth, Fast Green FCF, curcurmin, carmines) 최대허용기준 설정에 대한 아국의 의견을 반영하였으며, CCNFSDU(영양 및 특수용도식품 분과위원회)의 영양강화제와 관련하여 식품첨가물에 관한 내용검토 및 의견 제출, CCASIA(아시아지역 조정위원회)에서 논의 중인 고추장 및 발효 콩제품의 식품 첨가물 내용을 검토하여 아국의 검토의견을 반영하였다.

Microtubule-associated Protein 1B Interacts with Glyceraldehydes 3-Phosphate Dehydrogenase in Bovine Follicles (한우 난포에서 발현하는 MAP1B와 GAPDH의 상호 결합)

  • Microtubule-associated protein 1B (MAP1B), a member of MAP1 family, plays a key role in neuronal development. MAP1B binds to many kinds of proteins directly or indirectly. This study was performed to investigate whether MAP1B interacts with GAPDH in bovine follicles using immunoprecipitation (IP) with Western blot analysis and immunohistochemisty. The mRNA expressions of MAP1B and glyceraldehydes 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) were down-regulated in bovine follicular cystic follicles (FCF). In parallel with the mRNA levels, their protein levels were also down-regulated in FCFs. In addition, MAP1B and GAPDH were co-localized at the cytoplasm of follicles. IP with Western blot analysis showed that MAP1B bound to GAPDH in normal follicles, but their binding was absent in FCFs, suggesting a low level of MAP1B and/or GAPDH expressions in FCFs. Taken together, these results suggest that MAP1B interacted with GAPDH may play a role in bovine follicle development, and that GAPDH does not function always as a loading control in bovine follicles.
