  • In this paper, we consider the general variational inequality GVI(F, g, C), where F and g are mappings from a Hilbert space into itself and C is the fixed point set of a nonexpansive mapping. We suggest and analyze a new modified hybrid steepest-descent method of type method $u_{n+l}=(1-{\alpha}+{\theta}_{n+1})Tu_n+{\alpha}u_n-{\theta}_{n+1g}(Tu_n)-{\lambda}_{n+1}{\mu}F(Tu_n),\;n{\geq}0$. for solving the general variational inequalities. The sequence $\{x_n}\$ is shown to converge in norm to the solutions of the general variational inequality GVI(F, g, C) under some mild conditions. Application to constrained generalized pseudo-inverse is included. Results proved in the paper can be viewed as an refinement and improvement of previously known results.

  • Spin exchange interactions of $(C_2N_2H_{10})[Fe(HPO_3)F_3]$ were examined by performing a spin dimer analysis based on extended Huckel tight binding method and a mapping analysis based on first principles density functional theory. Spin exchange interactions occur through the super-superexchange paths $J_1$ and $J_2$ in $(C_2N_2H_{10})[Fe(HPO_3)F_3]$. In the super-superexchange path $J_2$ magnetic orbital interactions between eg-block levels are much stronger than those from $t_{2g}$-block levels. Both electronic structure calculations show that the spin exchange interaction through the super-superexchange path $J_2$ is much stronger than that of $J_1$.

  • The purpose of this paper is to introduce and study a method for solving the split equality of variational inequality and f, g-fixed point problems in reflexive real Banach spaces, where the variational inequality problems are for uniformly continuous pseudomonotone mappings and the fixed point problems are for Bregman relatively f, g-nonexpansive mappings. A strong convergence theorem is proved under some mild conditions. Finally, a numerical example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm.

  • In this paper we characterize multi-Jensen functions f : $V^n\;{\rightarrow}\;W$, where n is a positive integer, V, W are commutative groups and V is uniquely divisible by 2. Moreover, under the assumption that f : $\mathbb{R}\;{\rightarrow}\;\mathbb{R}$ is Borel measurable, we obtain representation of f (respectively, f, g, h : $\mathbb{R}\;{\rightarrow}\;\mathbb{R}$) such that the Jensen difference $$2f\;\(\frac{x\;+\;y}{2}\)\;-\;f(x)\;-\;f(y)$$ (respectively, the Pexider difference $$2f\;\(\frac{x\;+\;y}{2}\)\;-\;g(x)\;-\;h(y))$$ takes values in a countable subgroup of $\mathbb{R}$.

  • In this paper we consider mappings ${\sigma}$ which map the binary operation symbol f to the term ${\sigma}$(f) which do not necessarily preserve the arities. We call these mappings generalized hypersubstitutions. Any generalized hypersubstitution ${\sigma}$ can be extended to a mapping $\hat{\sigma}$ on the set of all terms of type ${\tau}$ = (2). We de ne a binary operation on the set $Hyp_G$(2) of all generalized hypersubstitutions of type ${\tau}$ = (2) by using this extension The set $Hyp_G$(2) together with the identity generalized hypersubstitution ${\sigma}_{id}$ which maps f to the term f($x_1,x_2$) forms a monoid. We determine all regular elements of this monoid.

  • It is important to identify genetic interactions related to human diseases or animal traits. Many linear statistical models have been reported but they did not consider genetic interactions. Genotype matrix mapping (GMM) has been developed to identify genetic interactions. This study uses the GMM method to detect superior SNP combinations of the CCDC158 gene that influences average daily gain, marbling score, cold carcass weight and longissimus muscle dorsi area traits in Hanwoo. We evaluated the statistical significance of the major SNP combinations selected by implementing the permutation test of the F-measure. The effect of g.34425+102 A>T (AA), g.8778G>A (GG) and g.4102+36T>G (GT) SNP combinations produced higher performance of average daily gain, marbling score, cold carcass weight and the longissimus muscle dorsi area traits than the effect of a single SNP. GMM is a fast and reliable method for multiple SNP analysis with potential application in marker-assisted selection. GMM may prospectively be used for genetic assessment of quantitative traits after further development.

  • In this paper we consider the meromorphic function G(z) with a pole of order 1 at -a and analytic function F(z) with a zero -a of order 2 in $\mathbb{D}=\{z :{\mid}z{\mid}<1\}$, where -1 < a < 1. From these functions we obtain the regular simply-connected minimal surface $S=\{(u(z),\;{\nu}(z),\;H(z)):z{\in}\mathbb{D}\}$ in $E^3$ and the harmonic function $f=u+i{\nu}$ defined on $\mathbb{D}$, and then we investigate properties of the minimal surface S and the harmonic function f.

  • We establish a coupled coincidence point theorem for generalized com-patible pair of mappings under generalized nonlinear contraction on a partially or-dered metric space. We also deduce certain coupled fixed point results without mixed monotone property of F : X × X → X . An example supporting to our result has also been cited. As an application the solution of integral equations are obtained here to illustrate the usability of the obtained results. We improve, extend and generalize several known results.

  • SAR imagery offers a reliable mode of image acquisition over tropical countries for various applications. The Philippines participated in two missions to the Pacific Rim by NASA in 1996 and 2000 that saw the deployment of the AIRSAR instrument. This paper discusses the Philippine experience in the use of polarimetric and interferometric radar datasets for diverse applications, including hazards mapping, geologic and geomorphologic mapping, and land cover mapping. The results are discussed in the light of present efforts at capacity building in remote sensing, attempts at operationalizing the use of SAR for priority applications, and future ambitions in remote sensing.

  • Let G = (V, E) be a (p, q) graph. Define $${\rho}=\{{\frac{2}{p}},\;{\text{{\qquad} if p is even}}\\{\frac{2}{p-1}},\;{{\text{if p is odd}}$$ and L = {±1, ±2, ±3, … , ±ρ} called the set of labels. Consider a mapping f : V ⟶ L by assigning different labels in L to the different elements of V when p is even and different labels in L to p-1 elements of V and repeating a label for the remaining one vertex when p is odd.The labeling as defined above is said to be a pair difference cordial labeling if for each edge uv of G there exists a labeling |f(u) - f(v)| such that ${\mid}{\Delta}_{f_1}-{\Delta}_{f^c_1}{\mid}{\leq}1$, where ${\Delta}_{f_1}$ and ${\Delta}_{f^c_1}$ respectively denote the number of edges labeled with 1 and number of edges not labeled with 1. A graph G for which there exists a pair difference cordial labeling is called a pair difference cordial graph. In this paper we investigate pair difference cordial labeling behaviour of Petersen graphs P(n, k) like P(n, 2), P(n, 3), P(n, 4).
