모바일 단말 기반 고정밀 실내 융합 측위 방법 (High Accuracy of Indoor Hybrid Positioning Method based on Mobile Device)

  • 최근 모바일 단말 기술의 발전과 무선망의 성능 향상에 따른 다양한 서비스가 제공되고 있는 추세이며, 위치정보인식시스템과 결합된 서비스에 많은 관심이 높아졌다. 본고에서는 GPS(Global Positioning System)의 신호가 미치지 못하는 건물의 실내환경에 적합한 경로 안내서비스 및 지하시설물 안내 등 초정밀 실내 측위 서비스를 제공하기 위한 융합 측위 방안을 제안한다. 융합 측위 방안은 실내외 연속 측위를 위해 실외에서는 GPS를 이용하고 실내환경에서는 WLAN 기반의 측위 전용 AP(Access Point)를 이용, 전파신호의 LoS(Line of Sight)를 확보하여 측위하고 전파음영지역에서는 스마트폰의 가속도, 자이로센서 등 여러 가지 관성센서를 활용하여 PDR(Pedestrian Dead Reckoning) 알고리즘 등을 적용하여 측위한다. 또한 측위 정확도 향상 및 오차를 줄이기 위한 방법으로 LSE(Least Squire Estimation) 및 EKF(Extended Kalman Filter), KNN(K-Neighbor Node)/MSSM(Maximum Signal Strength Model) Algorithm 등 다양한 융합 측위 알고리즘을 적용하여 실내환경에 적합한 최적의 초정밀 실내 측위 서비스를 제공한다.

  • In this paper, We propose a PID-type of self-tuning algorithm which is based on the parameter estimation and the minimization of the cost function. We use the CARIMA model for parameter estimation and determine the discrete PID controller parameters by minimizing the cost function which considers the quadratic deviations of the predicted output over the set-point as well as the control efforts. Also, The algorithm is extended by incorporating constraints of the control signal. Simulations are performed to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method.

  • This study presents and algorithm and related techniques which could satisfy the important properties of check weighers and conveyor scales. The algorithm of Recursive Least Squares Regression is applied for the weighing system simulated as a dynamic model of the second order. Using the model and the algorithm, model parameters and then the mass being weighed can be determined from the step input. The performance of the algorithm was tested on a check weigher. Discussions were extended to the development of noise reduction techniques and to the lagged introduction of objects on the moving plate. It turns out that the algorithm shows several desirable features suitable for real-time signal processing with a microcomputer, which are high precision and stability in noisy environment.

  • The paper describes the relationship between the eigenvalue branches and the corresponding flutter modes of cantilevered pipes with a tip mass conveying fluid. Governing equations of motion are derived by extended Hamilton's principle, and the numerical scheme using finite element method is applied to obtain the discretized equations. The flutter configurations of the pipes at the critical flow velocities are drawn graphically at every twelfth period to define the order of quasi-mode of flutter configuration. The critical mass ratios, at which the transference of the eigenvalue branches related to flutter takes place. are definitely determined. Also, in the case of haying internal damping, the critical tip mass ratios, at which the consistency between eigenvalue braches and quasi-modes occurs. are thoroughly obtained.

  • Proposed Multi-level PDP sustain Driver make use of element which has a low voltage rating instead of suggested method by the existing Webber and it passes through a second phase both rising and falling at sustaining voltage waveform In accordance with the change of timing phase(Tr1, Ti1, Tr2) performance comparison of a electric discharge characteristics in a PDP module has been carried out. At the conclusion of experimentation, the feature is extended by alteration of Ti1 and it has little to do with alteration of Tr1.

  • This paper proposes a 3 kW single-phase bi-directional multi-level converter for energy storage applications. The proposed topology is based on the H-bridge structure with four switches connected to the DC-link. A simple phase opposition disposition PWM method that requires only one carrier signal is also suggested. The switching sequence to balance the capacitor voltage is considered. The topology can be extended to a nine-level converter or a three-phase system. The operating principle of the proposed converter is verified through a simulation and an experiment.

Study on Safety and Reliability of ETOPS using Aircraft Operation Simulation

  • A methodology has been developed for predicting aircraft reliability incorporating both C.C.F.s(Common-Cause Failures), and phased missions. Failure behaviour of an aircraft, or it's systems are predicted. Both independent failures, and C.C.F.s, are modelled by the Markov process, and simulated using Monte Carlo sampling with the robust variance reduction method. Prediction of safety and reliability is made through discrete-event simulation of aircraft operations. A case study is described for investigating the safety and reliability of the propulsion system of two-, three- and four-engined aircraft. This is particularly important for the design of ETOPS(Extended Range of Two-Engined Aircraft Operations) and results are presented for the cases with, and without the effect of C.C.F.s.

  • Over the past few years, a number of studies have been made on web map services, which enable the GIS user to access spatial data through the web. They, however, have focused on only implementation techniques separately, such as map client implementation, map server implementation, communication between client and server, and the map data representation. Therefore, it is hard to share and practical use the spatial data, because they does not ensure interoperability in heterogeneous map servers. In this paper, we have designed and implemented the web map server with open architecture, which complies with the standard interfaces proposed by OpenGIS Consortium (OGC). In particular, we have extended the OGC’s interfaces for a map server to support one or more data sources. This paper has contributed to construction and practical use of web map services by newly proposing the method of implementation of a map server, which could be reused regardless of the types of data sources.

  • Finite element analyses for bursting failure prediction in bulge forming under combined internal pressure and independent axial feeding are carried out. By means of the FEM combined with Oyane's ductile fracture criterion based on Hills quadratic plastic potential, the forming limit and bursting pressure level are investigated for a seamed tube that comprises of weldment, heat affected zone(HAZ) and base material parts. Especially, in order to determine the material property of HAZ tensile tests for the base material and the weld metal are executed based on iso-strain approach. Finally, through a series of bulge forming simulations with consideration of the weldment and HAZ it is concluded that the proposed method would be able to predict the bursting pressure and fracture initiation site more realistically, so the approach can be extended to a wide range of practical bulge forming processes.

BISTROs and Varying Magnetic Fields with Density in Serpens Main

  • The B-fields in Star-forming Region Observations (BISTRO) is a large program of the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT) to study the roles of magnetic fields in molecular clouds on intermediate scales (a few thousands au or larger scales), in which a large number of researchers over the world are involved. This project was initiated in 2016 with polarimetric observations of nearby star-forming regions and has been extended toward massive and farther regions (BISTRO-2) and various evolutionary stages and environmental conditions (BISTRO-3). The current status of the BISTRO projects is reported. In addition, we discuss magnetic fields in the Serpens Main molecular cloud, which is one of the BISTRO star-forming regions. Utilizing the Histogram of Relative Orientations method, which compares polarization directions with density gradients, we show that magnetic fields are parallel to filaments in less dense filamentary structures but perpendicular to dense ones. Furthermore, the magnetic field directions with respect to density gradients vary again with density in denser core regions, which is understood by core formation and pinched fields. Note: (PI) D.
