  • We consider discrete-time LTI (Linear Time-Invariant) systems with constant input delays. The input delay is modeled by a first-order PdE (Partial difference Equation) and a backstepping transformation is employed to design a predictor feedback controller. The backstepping approach results in the construction of an explicit Lyapunov function, with which we prove the exponential stability of the closed-loop system formed by the predictor feedback. The numerical example demonstrates the design of the predictor feedback controller, and illustrates the validity of the exponential stability.

  • For modeling skewed semicircular data, we derive new family of the exponential distributions. We extend it to the l-axial exponential distribution by a transformation for modeling any arc of arbitrary length. It is straightforward to generate samples from the f-axial exponential distribution. Asymptotic result reveals two things. The first is that linear exponential distribution can be used to approximate the l-axial exponential distribution. The second is that the l-axial exponential distribution has the asymptotic memoryless property though it doesn't have strict memoryless property. Some trigonometric moments are also derived in closed forms. Maximum likelihood estimation is adopted to estimate model parameters. Some hypotheses tests and confidence intervals are also developed. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test is adopted for goodness of fit test of the l-axial exponential distribution. We finally obtain a bivariate version of two kinds of the l-axial exponential distributions.

  • Measuring the distances between signals in the signal space is usually determined by obtaining the ideal metric which is not easy to obtain. In this research we have investigated the scheme that measures the distances between the signals constructed with the measured voltage signals connected to electric apparatus using Kalman filter and exponential mapping. The metric is defined on the feature signals obtained via the estimation process of a Kalman filter and the mapping process using the exponential transformation. Diagnosis is on the voltage fluctuations is applied to determining whether the system is in the stable state or not due to the unexpected accidents, such as power overcharge, discharge, outages flow may be the cause of the accident. The decision making scheme evaluated with respect to the effectiveness and the degree of complication with different variances. Two methods, the Hard Limit Threshold Scheme(HLTS) and the Interval Energy Scheme(IES) are proposed and compared. In experiments the IES shows better tolerance to impulse noise than the HLTS.

  • To determine the modal matrix and modal frequency of engine mount system, we most solve so-called eigen-value problem. However eigen-value problem of engine mount system with hydraulic mount can not be solved by general eigne-analysis algorithm because the properties of hydraulic mount vary with frequency. so in this paper the method for modal analysis of rigid body motions of an engine supported by hydraulic mount is proposed. Natural frequencies and mode shapes of this nonlinear system are obtained by using complex exponential method and Laplace transformation method. In time domain, impulse response functions are calculated by (two-sided) discrete inverse Fourier Transformation of forced frequency response functions achieved by Laplace transformation of the differential equation of motion. Considering the fact that frequency response functions synthesized by modal parameters form proposed method are in good agreement with original FRFs, it is proved that the proposed method is very efficient and useful for the analysis of eigne-value problem of hydraulic engine mount system.

  • We review the characteristics of a geometric mean and statistical inferences based on geometric means. We also show that the statistical results obtained by the logarithmic transform and back-transformation are related to geometric means and explain how to interpret the results produced in this process.

  • The long-tailed, positively skewed exponential distribution can be made into an almost symmetric distribution by taking the exponent of the data. In these situations, to use the traditional shewhart control limits on an individuals chart would be impractical and inconvenient. The transformed data, approximately bell-shaped, can be plotted conveniently on the individuals chart and exponentially weighted moving average chart. In this paper, using modifying statistics with transformed exponential of the data, we give a method for constructing control charts. Selecting method of exponent for individual chart is evaluated. And consider that smaller weight being assigned to the older data as time process and properties and taking method of exponent($\theta$), weighting factor($\alpha$) are suggested. Our recommendation, on the basis result of simulation, is practical method for EWMA chart.

  • To estimate optimal tree diameter and height growth function in Pinus thunbergii stands with site index of 12 class, quoted from two linear models of linear transformation(1) and linear transformation (2) and four non-linear models of exponential, Gompertz, Chapman-Richards, and Weibull etc.. Analyzed correlation among the estimated tree diameter and height by these function models, and observed diameter and height growth were compared. In the results of tree diameter and height growth estimation by stand age, non-linear models showed better appropriation than linear model and Chapman-Richards model was most fitted for tree height growth but few, if any, differences among their nonlinear models. Therefore, it is consider to be much more study about non-linear model to estimate tree diameter and height growth in the actual stands hereafter.

  • A protocol for the transformation of Klebsiella oxytoca by electroporation was developed. Preparation of competent cells at early exponential phase was most critical to obtain high transformation efficiency. The highest efficiency of 1.6$\times$106 transformants per $\mu\textrm{g}$ DNA(pBR322) could be obtained by electroporation of K. oxytoca cells prepared at the OD600 of 0.2 with 1.25$\mu\textrm{g}$ DNA at the filed strength of 2.5kV, the parallel resistance of 200$\Omega$ and capacitance of 25$\mu$F.

  • For the genetic multipurpose of antagonistic abilities of Pseudomom etutzeri YPL-1 aganist Fusarium solani causing root rot of many important crops by genetic engineering, optimal conditions for transformation of P-stutzeri YPL-1 by pKT230 were investigated. Maxium frequency of the transformation was achieved when cells were harvested at early exponential growth phase. The highest transformation efficiency was obtained when the competent cells were exposed to chilled transformation buffer containing 20 mM RbCI, 100 mM $CaCl_2$ and added l${\mu}g$/ml of plasmid DNA. The pH optimum for transformation was 6.5. When the bacterial cells that were incubated during 60 minutes for the competence were brought in contact with plasmid DNA, the transformations were obtained in the best frequency. It was formed that transformation frequency was 2 ~$6 \times 10^{-6}$ under the optimal conditions.

  • We investigate surface brightness profiles (SBPs) of dwarf galaxies in field, group, and cluster environments. Using images from the Korea Microlensing Telescope Network (KMTNet) Supernova Program (KSP) for the NGC 2784 group and SDSS for the Virgo cluster, SBP types are classified into profiles with single exponential (Type I), double exponential (Type II and Type III). Type II and Type III have smaller and larger outer sizes than inner sizes, respectively. SBP types of field dwarfs are compiled from a previous study. The distributions of SBP types are different in three environments. After comparing sizes of dwarfs in different environments, we suggest that since sizes of some dwarfs are changed due to the environmental effects, SBP types are able to be transformed. It makes that the distributions of SBP types in three environments are different.
