Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the contents and problems of present education for safety education specialist and provide suggestions for improvement in the future by examining the current status of capacity building education for safe education specialist. Method: The analysis of current status was conducted based on the results of two training sessions on safety education specialists and the research on the actual condition was carried on targeting safety education specialists. Result: As a result of the research, most of the contents of education for safety education specialist are biased toward theory and lack of a systematic education system, resulting in that safety education tends to be field education and focuses on theory and audio-visual education. Safety education is not solved by theory, but can be maximized the effect through experience and practice to experience the real situation. This study was conducted to identify instructor's experience on simulation education. The subjects were nine instructors in simulation education of EMT students. Data were collected through documents and in-depth interview from participants. It was analyzed by phenomenological method, using Colaizzi's method. The results of this study were as a follows. From the protocol, significant statements were organized into formulated meanings. The formulated meanings were identified 28 themes, 9 theme clusters, and 4 categories. The 4 categories were as follows; discomfort of forming the learning environment; burden of instructor's role; difficulty from insufficient education condition; possibility of new education. This study suggested that improvement of simulation education can be accomplished by providing opportunities to learn the simulation technology, using the pre-programmed scenarios, having technical support from specialist or additional operator, and adjusting the current paramedic curriculum.

Environmental education is usually taught across the curriculum in most of the countries. This teaching approach has been a challenge for teachers to implement it especially in the Malaysian curriculum context. Thus, science teachers require effectual Pedagogical Content Knowledge of Environmental Education (PCK-EE). The purpose of this study was to explore the influence of teaching option and teaching experience on science teachers' PCK-EE. Five components of PCK-EE were investigated in this study, which were: a) knowledge of curriculum, b) knowledge of content, c) knowledge of student, d) knowledge of teaching strategies, and e) knowledge of evaluation. 347 secondary science teachers from the state of Selangor have participated in this survey study. The questionnaire used had 60 items. The findings revealed teaching option has a significant influence on science teachers' knowledge of content (p=0.000); knowledge of student (p=0.000) and knowledge of teaching strategies (p=0.016). In the case of teaching experience, it was found that there is a low correlation on knowledge of content (r=0.174) and knowledge of evaluation (r=0.170) only. Implication of this study leads to the suggestion in enhancing teachers' service training to improve their PCK-EE and subsequently their ability in teaching environmental education across curriculum.
The purpose of this study was to examine the association nutrition education experience in regards to metabolic risk and nutrition intake in Korean adult male using the 2016~2017 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey as the reference. The study involved a total of 1,978 male subjects aged 40~64 who were classified into the 2 groups based on their nutrition education experience: Educated group (n=88) and non-educated group (n=1,890). The household income and education level of educated group were higher than those of the non-educated group. The two groups showed no significant difference in the level of fasting blood sugar, blood lipid profile including total cholesterol and triglyceride, LDL-cholesterol, and hypertension. Vitamin C intake of the educated group (127.5 mg) was higher compared to the non-educated group (88.2 mg) (p<0.05). The percentage of the subjects utilizing nutritional labels was higher in the educated group. The nutrition education experience was inversely proportional to lower Odds Ratio in hyperLDL-cholesterolemia (OR: 0.47, 95% CI: 0.36, 0.84) and HypoHDL-cholesterolemia (OR: 0.57, 95% CI: 0.37, 0.87). This result indicates that nutritional education can be used as an effective tool to avert chronic diseases and develop healthy eating habits.
This article aims to analyze the experience of designing and operating a class model linking undergraduate and graduate students in engineering education and suggest its development direction. To achieve these objectives, the undergraduate-graduate linked class model was applied to community problem-solving education and a case was analyzed. It also specifically presented the process of how we design the class model and what the actual operational performances and improvements are. This study found that undergraduate and graduate students could build integrated and horizontal cooperative relationships in their classes through undergraduate-graduate linked education and, particularly, graduate students could gain meaningful educational experiences. However, it was difficult to obtain tangible performances through the team activities of these students within a semester. In order for engineering colleges to operate undergraduate-graduate linked education, it would be necessary to provide a longer and more systematic educational environment and better curriculum. The study tried to seek specific tasks and ways to improve them.
This attempts to find out training system of environment education teacher in Korea. The results are summarized as follows. The primary and secondary school have focused on environment education and the environment course was designated as a subject, but only 12% of the 2741 middle school chose the environment subject in 1998. The environment education course is not popular among students. The environment education is an interdisciplinary subject, which is composed of natural science, social studies, earth science, and medical science, that is why the subject is so unsystematic and complicated that appropriate teaching methods and contents for school classes are not able to be developed. Moreover, material and manuals in environment education for students and teachers are limited. While the contents of environment education is composed of field experience learning and experiment learning, but lecture-centered instruction is emphasized in school because of materials, time and experts. Over 300 environmental education teachers are annually produced, but the ratio of employment low. is, Therefore, a retraining program for environment education teacher needs to be developed.
This study aimed to analyze the relationships between Big five personality (openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, neuroticism), self-regulation learning, and achievement in children in a gifted education program. 95 students in a gifted education program participated in this study. A hypothetical model proposed openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, neuroticism as independent variables, and self-regulation learning and achievement with gifted education as dependent variables. Stepwise regression analysis indicated that openness to experience, conscientiousness, and agreeableness significantly predicted self-regulation learning. Also, neuroticism, selfregulation learning, and extraversion significantly impacted achievement with gifted education. openness to experience, conscientiousness, and agreeableness showed that complete mediating effects through self-regulation learning to achievement. A foundation for improving learning strategies in a successful gifted education program can be constructed on the basis of the results of this study.
