Purpose - This study aims to identify the importance of subsidiary entrepreneurship as a key factor when MNE attempts to invest in challenging overseas markets. Through the simultaneous consideration of institutional theory and entrepreneurship theory, this study would like to examine how Korean subsidiaries in the Middle East improve their performance locally. Design/methodology - To reflect the characteristics of emerging markets, this study conducted a survey of Korean subsidiaries in the Middle East in cooperation with KOTRA and analyzed the hypotheses using a structural equation model based on 249 valid responses. Findings - The findings of this study are as follows. First, we found that institutional and business distance would positively affect subsidiaries' entrepreneurship. The result that subsidiaries' entrepreneurship is positively affected by institutional and business distance implies that attempts to close the difference between heterogeneous markets would increase subsidiaries' innovative proactiveness, such as R&D and creative marketing strategies. Second, we confirmed that the institutional and business distance positively mediate the subsidiaries' entrepreneurship growth, leading to high performance. Therefore, Korean subsidiaries are required and prepared to establish strategies to better understand institutional and business distances in advance and reduce the liability of foreignness by conducting customized research and training programs before sending Korean expatriates to local subsidiaries in the Middle East. Originality/value - This study contributed to institutional and entrepreneurship theory by proving the traditional relationship between institutional and business distance to subsidiaries' performance and the mediation of subsidiary entrepreneurship.
The purpose of this study is first to analyze the effects of university students' autonomous motivations to start a business on their attitude toward entrepreneurship, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control, second to analyze the effect of university students' attitude toward entrepreneurship, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control on entrepreneurship intentions, and third to analyze the moderating effect of entrepreneurship education for university students on entrepreneurship intention. Based on the previous research, a research model and a research hypothesis were established. 251 questionnaire responses were collected through a survey of university students in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province and empirical analysis was performed using SPSS 24 and AMOS 23. As a result of the analysis, first, the autonomous motivation was found to have a positive effect on attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control. In addition, attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control all showed a positive effect on entrepreneurship intention. Entrepreneurship education for university students was found to control the effect of subjective norms on entrepreneurship intention and the effect of perceived behavioral control on entrepreneurship intention in the positive direction. The results of this study can contribute to the establishment of more effective educational policies and startup support program planning that can increase the entrepreneurial intention of university students.

This study is to identify the effect of seniors in their 40s and 50s on their entrepreneurial intentions through attitude on entrepreneurship, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control by utilizing the integrated model of the theory of planned behavior and self-determination theory. Also, in this process, we tried to analyze moderating effect of entrepreneurship education for seniors. An online survey was conducted for seniors in their 40s and 50s living in Seoul and Gyeonggi province, out of the total 284 questionnaire responses, 243 valid questionnaires were used in the study. Research analysis utilized SPSS 24, AMOS 23 structural equation model and Professor Hayes' Process 3.4 to analyze moderating effect. The results of the study were summarized as follows. First, autonomous motivation had a positive influence on attitude toward entrepreneurship, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control. But controlled motivation didn't have the significant influence on attitude, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control. Second, attitude toward entrepreneurship, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control had positive influence on entrepreneurship intention. Third, as a result of analyzing moderating effect of entrepreneurship education for seniors, the significant moderating effect was verified between attitude and entrepreneurship intention. Also the significant moderating effect was verified between subjective norms and entrepreneurship intention. On the other hand, no significant moderating effect was proved between perceived behavioral control and entrepreneurship intention. The implication of this study is that for retired seniors planning to enter into entrepreneurship, the result can contribute to the development of a entrepreneurship support program that can increase new startup creation, survival and sucess by diagnosing autonomous and controlled motivation for entrepreneurship. In addition, by providing entrepreneurship education as well as re-employment training in the senior outplacement program, the study can contribute to widening the opportunities for seniors to second career after retirement.

Recently in the field of entrepreneurship education is the government's quantitative diffusion being deployed. University and other entrepreneurship education institutions that provide education services and establish purpose and methods. It means that they supply appropriate curriculum and educational program, schedule etc. Education systems should established to meet the target progress. Definitely the definition of entrepreneurship education and training is required for the direction of the various studies point. This research discusses the thing that might be overlooked in terms of parts suppliers. Grounded theory study was performed. We want to contributes to the theoretical foundation to help understanding the entrepreneurship education. Policy implications for organizations providing entrepreneurship education are expected.
The purpose of the study is to identify social entrepreneurship intentions among university students in Uzbekistan focusing on the Tashkent State University of Economics(TSEU) as a study area. A 47 item questionnaire was distributed to 371 students of TSUE students in Uzbekistan by using convenience sample method. From a total of the 371 respondents, 278 (74.93%) were male, 93 (25.07%) were females and the average age of the respondents was approximately 22 years. The result indicates that the model in this study accounts for 67,7% of the variance in interpreting the social entrepreneurship intention. This study makes a contribution to the social entrepreneurship research area by including factors such as risk taking propensity, internal locus of control, moral obligation, self-efficacy and empathy as antecedents of the theory of planned behavior that also explains social entrepreneurial intention formation.

In recent years, various studies have been carried out on various types of entrepreneurship and comparative activities according to policy efforts and support such as the activation of a bachelor's degree in the establishment of a university, and attention has been paid to the fact that the participation and the educational effect of the students may be different depending on the type. The purpose of this study is to investigate entrepreneurial motivation, entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurial intention in the case of experiential entrepreneurship class focusing on the theoretical-oriented general entrepreneurship class, And the effect of entrepreneurship on entrepreneurial intention. The data were collected and empirical analysis was conducted to compare the difference between the two groups. The results of this study are as follows: First, out of the motivation factors of entrepreneurs, entrepreneurship education, achievement desire, human network, self - esteem, etc. We can confirm that the motivation of entrepreneurs is recognized more greatly. Second, the entrepreneurship factor was not significantly different from the perception between experiential entrepreneurship lecture and theoretical entrepreneurship learner. Third, experiential entrepreneurship learner perceived more willingness to start business than theoretical entrepreneurship learner. Finally, among the entrepreneurship motivation factors, among the entrepreneurship education, achievement desire and entrepreneurship factor, the risk sensitivity affects the entrepreneurial will. This study suggests that the direction of entrepreneurial education focused on quantitative expansion and the creation of qualitative effects of entrepreneurship education are needed. In the future, it will provide policy implications for revitalizing experiential entrepreneurship education In addition, it can contribute to the diffusion of research on the effect of entrepreneurship education.

This paper analyzes a case of successful faculty entrepreneurship through a coupled process of open innovation in a university context, using the core competency theory perspective. Initially, the current state of faculty entrepreneurship is examined, and the effects of interdisciplinary coupled processes of open innovation are explored, focusing on the case of 'Omotion Inc.,' a startup utilizing generative AI technology for hyper-realistic 3D virtual human experiences. The research methodology involves in-depth interviews with Omotion Inc.'s co-founders, technology commercialization professionals, and experts in the field, followed by analysis based on foundational theories. Applying the core competency theory, this paper scrutinizes the process of integrating diverse expertise and technologies from various academic disciplines. The analysis goes beyond the limitations of faculty entrepreneurship confined to a single technology-centric research domain. Instead, it explores the possibilities of enhancement and value creation through coupled processes, providing practical implications for the university entrepreneurial ecosystem. The aim is to extend the traditional roles of education and research within the university, presenting a role in economic value creation beyond the boundaries of conventional faculty entrepreneurship. Through the collaboration of two faculty members, this study showcases the creation of novel technology and business models. It establishes that successful coupled processes of open innovation in faculty entrepreneurship, from a core competency theory perspective, require the entrepreneurial firm to possess (1) entrepreneurial capabilities, (2) technological capabilities, and (3) networking capabilities. The implications of this research highlight the positive impact of coupled processes of open innovation in faculty entrepreneurship, as evidenced by the Omotion Inc. case, offering guidance on entrepreneurial directions for university members preparing for entrepreneurship.

There has been a recent increase in the interest towards founding companies and in line with the South Korean Government's policy on start-up support, discussions are rife about the effect of entrepreneurship on the management and performances of these companies. To enhance the competitiveness of SMEs, it is expedient to acquire and deploy consistent entrepreneurship, differentiate corporate resources, ensure the appropriate utilization of resources and the integration of such factors in response to the changing environment. This research examines relationships among entrepreneurship, three components of corporate capabilities, dynamic capability and technical performance based on resource-based view and the dynamic capability theory. The authors also investigate the moderating role of corporate life cycle. To test the hypothesis, we conducted a survey on 352 technologies -innovative SMEs located in South Korea via professional research institutes. The findings confirm the hypothesis that SMEs' entrepreneurship has a positive effect on three kinds of corporate capabilities (e.g., marketing, R&D, operations capability), and it had a positive effect on dynamic capability, whiles dynamic capability also had an influence on technical performances. The findings also confirmed the hypothesis that corporate life cycle moderates the relationship between dynamic capability and technical performances respectively. The research implications for both practitioners and academicians are discussed.
This paper explores antecedents of entrepreneurial and job search intentions based on the theory of planned behavior. Additionally, it examines the impact of entrepreneurship and job search education on these antecedents of entrepreneurial and job search intentions. The research model has been validated by analyzing 1,432 responses from undergraduate students in South Korea. The results of analysis provide several findings: First, entrepreneurship attitude, entrepreneurship subjective norm, and entrepreneurship self efficacy showed significant positive effects on entrepreneurial intention, but their effects on job search intention were insignificant. Second, while job search attitude showed significant positive effects on both intentions, job search subjective norm showed a significant effect only on job search intention, and job search self efficacy showed a significant effect only on entrepreneurial intention. Third, entrepreneurship education increased all the antecedents of entrepreneurial intention, and reduced job search attitude. These results imply that entrepreneurship and job search education should be managed comprehensively, considering their cross-effects on the antecedents of entrepreneurial and job search intentions.

Social entrepreneurship is increasingly gaining interest in developing countries for the great benefits of society. In Vietnam, the concept of social entrepreneurship is still quite new. Entrepreneurial intention is regarded as a useful and practial approach for understanding actual entrepreneurial behavior. The purpose of this paper is to develop an integrated model based on planned behavior to examine the direct and indirect effect of perceived access to finance on social entrepreneurial intention. The confirm factor analysis to study the latent constructs underlying determinants of planned behavioral theory, perceived access to finance and social entrepreneurial intention. Then, it applies the technique of structural equation modeling to explore relationships among latent constructs. There is no direct relationship between perceived access to finance and social entrepreneurial intention. Perceived access to finance only indirectly increases entrepreneurial intention through attitude towards behavior and perceived behavioral. This study focuses on the perceptual factor of financial access that affects entrepreneurial intentions. The study does not cover other in-depth issues of social entrepreneurship such as decision making, leadership, personality traits, social capital, and human capital. To establish an environment with a strong social entrepreneurial intention, a focus on developing perceived access to finance is an extremely important factor. This study also suggests that attitude towards behavior and perceived behavioral have a strong impact to social entrepreneurship.
