FGI 분석을 통한 공과대학생의 전공 유지와 진로 결정의 영향 요인 탐색 (Exploring Factors Affecting Major Persistence and Career Decision of Engineering Students through FGI Analysis)

  • This research aims to explore the factors affecting engineering students' major persistence and career decision. To achieve this goal, the experiences and perceptions of engineering students and other stakeholders regarding the factors influencing engineering students' major persistence and career decision were analyzed through online focus group interviews (FGI). The analysis of the interviews resulted in the identification of seven categories, which include meeting with older alumni, team project experiences, and internship experiences as factors influencing major persistence. Additionally, engineering interest, engineering self-efficacy, employment rates, economic factors, and limitations in women engineers' career development were identified as factors affecting career decision. Based on these findings, it is expected that engineering education will develop plans that focus on supporting the major persistence and career development of engineering students, thereby contributing to the future direction of engineering education.

Sulfadiazine의 結晶 및 分子構造 (The Crystal and Molecular Structure of Sulfadiazine)

  • X-선 회절법을 이용하여 sulfadiazine, $C_{10}H_{10}N_4O_2S$, 의 결정 및 분자 구조를 규명하였다. Acetone 과 ethanol의 혼합용액으로 부터 얻은 결정은 일사축계에 속하며, 단위세포에는 4분자가 있고, 공간군은 P21/c이다. 단위세포 상수는 $a=13.71{\pm}0.04,\;b=5.84{\pm}0.03,\;c=15.11{\pm}0.05{\AA},\;{\beta}=115.0{\pm}0.3^{\circ}$이다. 결정구조는 3차원적인 와이센버그사진으로 부터 얻어진 실험치를 이용하여 패터슨합성과 프리에합성을 하고 이를 해석하여 밝혀냈다. 수소원자를 제외한 원자들의 좌표치는 최소자승법으로 정밀화 하였으며, 최종 R값은 관측된 1517개의 독립반사에 대하여 0.15이다. 벤젠고리와 피리미딘고리의 두 평면이 이루는 각은 $76^{\circ}$이고, S-N(1)결합을 중심으로 한 N(1)-C(1) 결합과 S-C(5)결합이 이루는 conformational angle은 $77^{\circ}$로서 gauche형을 하고 있다. 이미노기의 질소원자, N(1)은 대칭중심에 의하여 옮겨지는 다른 분자의 피리미딘고리의 질소원자, N(3)와 $N-H{\cdots}N$형의 수소결합을 이루고 있으며, 아미노기의 질소원자, N(4)는 b축의 거리만큼 떨어져 있는 다른분자의 산소원자, O(1) 및 O(2)와 두개의 $N-H{\cdots}O$형 수소결합을 이루고 있다. 이들 수소결합의 2차원적 그물은 (100)면에 평행한 무한한 분자층을 형성하며 인접분자층 사이에는 van der Waals의 힘에 의하여 결합되어 있다

A Study on IT Curriculum Evaluation for College Students

  • 본 연구는 H대학 전교생 필수인 IT 교과목 강의평가에 영향을 주는 요인에 대해 비교 분석하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 강의만족도가 학업성취도, 출석율, 수강과목군과 유의미한 상관관계를 가지는지 파악하는 것이다. 특별히 컴퓨터를 활용하는 실습이 많이 요구되는 IT 교양과목들의 강의 만족도가 일반 교양과목의 강의만족도 경향과 어떤 차이가 있는가를 확인하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 위해서 H 대학교에서 2019년도 1, 2학기에 진행한 교양 IT 교과교육과정의 12개 교과목에서 2,322명 수강생들이 제출한 2,149건 강의평가 결과를 자료로 사용하였다. 강의평가 결과는 객관식 선택형 문항의 평가점수 외에도 주관식 서술형 문항도 학생들이 제출한 서술문을 긍정형과 부정형으로 분류하여 계량화를 하여 강의평가 결과를 객관화하였다. 연구 결과, 출석률과 학업성취도가 높을수록 강의만족도가 높았으며, 주관식 문항에서는 부정 단어보다는 긍정 단어를 더 많이 사용하였고, 학점이 낮을수록 부정 단어를 더 많이 사용하였다. 초급프로그래밍이나 소프트웨어활용군 과목군에서는 출석률이 높을수록 강의만족도가 높았지만, 중급프로그래밍에서는 출석률과 선택형 평가점수는 상관관계가 없었으며 주관식 문항에서도 타 과목군보다 부정 단어를 많이 사용하였다. IT 교과목에 대한 강의평가 경향은 일반 교과목의 강의평가 경향과 유사한 면도 있지만 중급프로그래밍 교과목에서는 대체로 부정적인 평가를 하는 것으로 나타났다.

공과대학생의 공감능력과 융합태도의 관계 분석 (Relationships between Empathy and Attitudes toward Curricula Integration of Engineering Students)

  • This research aims to examine the relationships between empathy and attitudes toward curricula integration of engineering students. To achieve this goal, first, differences in empathy and attitudes toward curricula integration among engineering students were examined. Second, the effects of attitudes toward curricula integration, as perceived by engineering undergraduate students, on empathy were explored. A total of three hundred and two engineering undergraduate students from three universities in Korea responded to survey based on a two-variables scale. The findings were that, firstly, a positive correlation among sub-factors of empathy and attitudes toward curricula integration was identified. Secondly, attitudes toward curricula integration could explain about 12% of empathy. The practical implications of these findings are discussed herein, with particular attention on education for promotion of empathy for engineering students.

공과대학생의 대인관계문제, 정서인식명확성, 공감능력 탐색 (Exploration on Interpersonal Problems, Emotional Clarity, and Empathic Ability in Engineering Students)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore characteristics of engineering students' Interpersonal Problems, Emotional Clarity, and Empathic Ability compared with humanities and social sciences students. A total of 739 college students participated in the study (459 enginerring students and 280 humanities and social sciences students). We tested research question by employing the t-test. The result showed that engineering students have higher level of clarity of feelings, perspective taking, empathic concern and lower level of attention to feelings, personal distress than humanities and social sciences students. Moreover, engineering students showed lower level of cold, socially avoidant, exploitable problems than humanities and social sciences students. We dicussed that programs aiming at developing engineering students' emotional awareness and improving their interpersonal relationships should be provided.

호주의 공학기사 양성과정(전문학사, 고급 디플로마)의 성격과 운영 비교 (Comparison of Characteristic and Implementation of Engineers Associate Qualifications(Associate degree and Advanced diploma) in Australia)

  • This paper investigates the characteristics and implementation of associate degree and advanced diploma in Australia, which belong to level 6 in AQF, to gain meaningful implications for engineering associate education in Korea. In Australian Qualification Framework and Engineers Australia's national generic competency standards are regarded as common benchmark for both qualifications. Training packages for advanced diploma were changed according to the subject/and national benchmark. and were developed to meet the needs of technical workers and para-professionals in the engineering field. The author recommends three suggestions from the findings - leadership of ABEEK for making benchmark for associate degree program in engineering in Korea, in which competency-based curriculum is currently being adopted by policy. development of outcomes descriptor of qualification and educational responsibilities.

공과대학 학생들을 위한 인턴십 및 현장실습 사전교육 프로그램 개발 (Development of Pre-training Program for Internship or Field Training for Engineering College Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a pre-training program of engineering college students for maximizing the effectiveness of internship or field training. To pursue this goal, literature review was conducted for data collection about college and corporate pre-training program for internship or field training and pre-training program(draft) was proposed. A questionnaire survey was conducted with engineering professors, students and graduates to identify the needs for pre-training program(draft) for internship or field training. Based on the results, the contents of pre-training program for internship or field training were composed of basic liberal arts, basic competency, real information related with corporation or job, and information exchange network. And key consideration for operating the pre-training program for internship or field training were proposed with the management department, regulation for the obligatory participation, meaningful organizing content, feedback of needs.

'창의적문제해결방법론' 교과목의 플립러닝 수업 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Instructional Design of Flipped Learning for 'Creative Problem Solving Methodology' Course)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop instructional design model of flipped learning suitable for engineering education field and to draw out effects and improvements by applying it to actual lessons for engineering college students. Literature review and case studies were conducted to achieve the purpose of the study. For a case study, flipped learning was applied to 'creative problem solving methodology' which is a liberal arts course of engineering college at D university in Gyeonggi-do. As a result of the literature review, the PARTNER model was applied and weekly instructional guide was presented by each stage. In addition, the results of analysis on the reflection journal showed that the students were more able to achieve the deepening learning stage through active participation in class than the existing class, and found that they had a more challenging plan after the class.
