  • ZigBee network, based on PHY, MAC layer provides a specification for a suite of high level communication protocols using small, low-power digital radio based on an IEEE 802.15.4 standard. Meshing is a type of daisy chaining from one device to another. This technique allows the short range of an individual node to be expanded and multiplied, covering a much larger area. Each wireless technology that makes it to market serves a special purpose or function. Zigbee provides short-range connectivity in what is called a personal-area network (PAN). Within ZigBee PAN coordinator as manages an entire ZigBee network, the short range of frequency band was only selected because the technology allows typically less than 100 kbp or ZigBee troubles in retransmission processing and delaying data tranmission works to create unproductive condition of work. This research was proposed the method, based on short range frequency of zigBee nodes enable to long range of remote data transmission with specific algorithm tools.

Implementation of LTCC Triplexer Band Based on Conjugate Matching Method (복소 매칭 방법을 이용한 LTCC Triplexer 구현)

  • In this paper, a compact triplexer has been implemented for Cellular/GPS/USPCS applications. In order to realize the proposed triplexer, we use a low-temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) substrate to enable a fully compact integrated module using a multi-layer high-density architecture, and conjugate-match the channels instead of the open matching technique. The three dimensional design capability of LTCC substrates can reduce the overall size of the triplexer, resulting in dimensions on the order of $3.2\;mm\;{\times}\;2.5\;mm\;{\times}\;1\;mm$. The measured result shows that the triplexer has, in Cellular/GPS/USPCS bands, the insertion loss of less than 0.5dB, less than 1.7dB, and less than 0.9dB in order. Also, the triplexer has an isolation of more than 15dB in the cellular and USPCS bands and an isolation of more than 20dB in the GPS band.

  • This study is on the relations between space boundary system and spatial effects. The system is consist of circulation axis & territory and vision axis & vision limit. The former is the spatial characteristic and the later is the time one. The purpose of this case study is confirm the correlation of the both and the spatial effect which is caused by space boundary system. Boundary is enable us to cognize 'territory' and intermediary of each territories. The facts that forms space boundary system are circulation axis & territory and vision axis & vision limit. The space boundary system could be categorized by congregation of these facts. and categorizing is determined with agreement degree of each couple of facts. Categorizing facts on the space boundary system are relevant to spatial effect, especially territory, directness, continuity and concentration.

  • The 21th century is rapidly turning to the era of supernational competition aimed at global customers. Under these circumstances, applying the value innovation to space which will be in charge of value creation is recognized as being essential to life. This study aims to newly define the conception, the viewpoint, and types on applying the value innovation to space, which has not been established logically yet. The purpose of analyzing cases where the innovation was applied at home and abroad is to provide basic logic to establish these concepts in real space design. This study is prospected to be the core strategy of growth cause for maintaining our industrial development, so it is suggested that accepting, widening, and developing it may enable us to prepare for the continued innovation to space.

  • The need of Home-Office is increasing according to the technology and communication system being developed. It is necessary to develop space program and home furniture design for Home-Office. The purpose of this study was to investigate sjpace condition for Home-Office and Home-Office furniture, and to examine preference and opinion on Home-Office. The results this study can be summarized as follows: 1) An isolated space such as a study was the most preferred for Home-Office. The proper size of Home-Office space in residential interior was over 3.3m$\times$3m. 2) The system furniture which is enable to store OA system, and to have efficient work space was preferred. 3) The preferred color of system furniture was natural wood tone, and the most preferred color of chair was blue. 4) It was assumed that the possibility of Home-Office is increased in the new future.

  • This paper is to enable electrical safety manager to have more objective evaluation on the safety by indicating quantitative values such as life-time and status quotient of daily visual inspection on private electrical equipments. Self-diagnosis table is recommended to apply such a evaluation efficiently according to the characteristics of each electrical equipments, and the managers's determination of the precise inspection, replacement etc. will be also possible through the standard selected by various domestic and foreign data with expert's advise for numerical evaluation. This circumstance will be able to establish the foundation to secure the soundness of electrical equipments.

  • This paper concerns developing an integrated online/offline light facility management system using internet and building a database system for control box and street light. Also, we designed the system to minimize the disparity with the conventional management system by referring to an old management ledger format. Thus, the proposed method may enable the system manager to administer the light facility efficiently and to reduce the manpower and maintenance cost, economically.

  • A novel concept of the gridable desalination plant is to provide an operation management to enable an electricity plant operation cost reduction. Adjusting recovery rate responded to electricity price, an electricity plant operation cost can be saved. To show a suggested approach, the data of 10 [MIGD](Million Imperial Gallons per Day) SWRO testbed are used. The result shows that total cost reduction rate is calculated about 1.6[%] of annual total electric plant operation cost.

  • Recent advances in genetics have determined that a number of epilepsy syndromes that occur in the first year of life are associated with genetic etiologies. These syndromes range from benign familial epilepsy syndromes to early-onset epileptic encephalopathies that lead to poor prognoses and severe psychomotor retardation. An early genetic diagnosis can save time and overall cost by reducing the amount of time and resources expended to reach a diagnosis. Furthermore, a genetic diagnosis can provide accurate prognostic information and, in certain cases, enable targeted therapy. Here, several early infantile epilepsy syndromes with strong genetic associations are briefly reviewed, and their genotype-phenotype correlations are summarized. Because the clinical presentations of these disorders frequently overlap and have heterogeneous genetic causes, next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based gene panel testing represents a more powerful diagnostic tool than single gene testing. As genetic information accumulates, genetic testing will likely play an increasingly important role in diagnosing pediatric epilepsy. However, the efforts of clinicians to classify phenotypes in nondiagnosed patients and improve their ability to interpret genetic variants remain important in the NGS era.

Process Redesign Through Dynamic Modeling (동적 모델링을 통한 업무 재설계)

  • Organizational change projects such as Business Process Redisign (BPR) have been perceived to incur high risk due to their high management complexity, enterprise-wide impace, and steep project cost. This research intends to reduce such risk by developing a systematic process redesign methods, called Dynamic Process Modeling (DPM) method. DPM integrates the customer-oriented business process modeling technique with computerized visual simulation technique to promote better understanding of the target process and enable performance simulation of the proposed redesign alternatives prior to actual BPR implementations. For the cusstomer-oriented process modeling, we propose Dynamic-Event Process Chain (Dynamic-EPC) extending from the conceptual customer process model, Event-Process Chain (EPC). We compare DPM with four other implementation-level process modeling methods over eight criteria and demonstrate its effectiveness by applying it to the real-world hospital BPR case.
