File Format Design for Interactive Music Service

  • This letter describes a file format designed for interactive music service where users are able to recompose music based on their own preferences. The proposed design utilizes the flexible features of the ISO base media file format (ISO/IEC 14496-12, ISO-BMFF). The techniques offered in the proposed file format enable compact storage and efficient preset management, allowing users to recompose music with ease and convenience. Additionally, an implementation scheme for an interactive music player is shown along with its results.

  • This paper gives an overview of the recent changes of global strategy that was put in place to support the development of a railway command / control system for the railway interoperability, The paper also outlines current projects regarding the future extension of railway management system and compares the train control system. This should enable the integration of operational, train command / control, traffic management, infrastructure and fleet management, and customer value-added services providing relevant information.

THE q-ADIC LIFTINGS OF CODES OVER FINITE FIELDS

  • There is a standard construction of lifting cyclic codes over the prime finite field ${\mathbb{Z}}_p$ to the rings ${\mathbb{Z}}_{p^e}$ and to the ring of p-adic integers. We generalize this construction for arbitrary finite fields. This will naturally enable us to lift codes over finite fields ${\mathbb{F}}_{p^r}$ to codes over Galois rings GR($p^e$, r). We give concrete examples with all of the lifts.

  • In the previous paper [6], the author constructed hyperbolic hypersurfaces of degree $2^{n}$ in the n-dimensional complex projective space for every $n\;\geq\;3$. The purpose of this paper is to give some improvement of this result and to show some general methods of constructions of hyperbolic hypersurfaces of higher degree, which enable us to construct hyperbolic hypersurfaces of degree d in the n-dimensional complex projective space for every $d\;\geq\;2\;{\times}\;6^{n}$.

  • In this paper, an automatic side-view inspection algorithm for LCD modules is proposed. Until now, most parts of inspection is performed by human inspectors, which means very high product costs. So inspection automation is the very hot issue in the LCD industries. However, it is not easy problem to replace the human by computer vision system. In the many inspections which are based on the human eyes, side-view inspection is most hard problem to solve. In this paper, an image morphing algorithm is developed, which will help to enable the automation of the side-view inspection process.

  • This paper present backstepping control approach for controling chaotic Liu system. The proposed method is a systematic design approach and consists in a recursive procedure that interlaces the choice of a Lyapunov Function. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, control laws are derived. We used the same technique to enable stabilization of chaotic motion to a steady state as well as tracking of any desired trajectory to be achieved in a systematic way. Numerical solution are shown to verify the result.

  • Recentadvancesin '-omics ' technologies enable us to discover more diverse disease- relevant target proteins, which encourages us to find out more target-specific novel lead compounds as new drug candidates. Therefore, high-throughput screening (HTS) becomes an essential tool in this area. Among many HTS tools, in silico HTS is a very fast and cost-effective tool to try to derive a new lead compound for any new targets, especially when the target protein structures are known or readily modeled. Local Obviation as a Relative Phenomenon

  • In this paper, I explain why local obviation (Condition B of Chomskys binding theory) should be viewed as a relative phenomenon, and establish a correlation between Local Obviation (henceforth LO) effects and the Referential Hierarchy of Korean anaphors proposed in Lee (1997): ku (he) > caki (self) > casin (self) > cakicasin (selfself) = selo (each other). I show that LO characterized as a relative phenomenon may enable us to view Conditions B and C of the binding theory simply as an instantiation of varying degrees of (long distance) disjoint reference effects on the same continuum.

  • Recent researches on control theory enable nonlinear state feedback which is more closer to real system without approximation. To apply nonlinear control theories, all state variables should be measured or estimated. In this paper, a technique of designing nonlinear state observer for a particular class of nonlinear system is presented. The result is applied to an aircraft model to prove the convergency of observation error.
