This study evaluated its potentials by quantitatively analyzing the national economic impact of the smart home-related industry, which is attracting attention as a core industry of the 4th industrial revolution. For the analysis, the smart home-related industries were classified into manufacturing and service industries through a literature review of the previous studies. Using the 2018 input-output table, this paper analyzed linkage effects between industries as well as spillover effects in the production, value-added, employment and job. As a result, the smart home manufacturing and service sectors showed a higher spillover effect in value-added than other industries in each industrial field. In the smart home industry, the spillover effects of manufacturing sector to service sector are larger than those of service sector to manufacturing sector. Moreover, it was confirmed that smart home industry was highly related to not only the technology-intensive industry, but also the service sector for smart cities, smart cars, Fin-tech, and etc. On the other hand, the smart home manufacturing sector is a final demanding industry with relatively higher backward linkage effect than forward linkage effect. In the smart home service sector, the forward linkage effect was relatively high compared with the backward linkage effect, indicating that it was an industry with a high supply function to other industries.
The chaperone practices is being applied to solve the problem of sexual harassment in clinics in medical institutions. Therefore, considering the characteristics of the radiation work and the application of the chaperone practices in the radiation work, this study is to analyze the requirements for the application of the chaperone practices and the impact that may occur on the job. From the end of 2021 to the beginning of 2022, a survey was conducted targeting radiologists in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, and about 52.9% of the surveys were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the demand for the application of the chaperone practices was higher among women than men, the younger the age, the higher the degree, and the lower the age. Also, as for the job impact of the application of the chaperone practices, the higher the demand, the greater the reduction in sexual harassment and credibility. In other words, the younger the age and the higher the education, the higher the need for the chaperone practices, but it is thought that it is necessary to supplement the policy for job security and Employment stability before applying it. Therefore, when considering the application of the chaperone practices to radiation work in the future, it is judged that it is necessary to sufficiently collect opinions in advance to guarantee the job in the relevant occupation.

This study analyses how much Korean visits to North Korea have an impact on the North Korean regional economy. It estimates the demand for North Korean tourism via the borders of North Korea, China, and Russia and South Korean expenses to be spent in North Korea. When asked if they are willing to visit North Korea within the next five years in case the pre-conditions of the visit to North Korea are satisfied, approximately 64.1% of the survey respondents indicated 'yes'. To estimate the demand, this research employed the analysis of purchase intention, popular in marketing, based on their willingness to visit. The annual demand for tourism was 4,136,361 persons. The average estimated expense per person is KRW 1,532,000 and the total annual expense is KRW 6,336.9 billion. Assuming that airfare is excluded from the total expense and the expense is made evenly in each tourist destination, the estimated amount to be spent in North Korea is KRW 2,838.7 billion per annum. The backward linkage effect of this expense on the North Korean regional economy is KRW 7,972.1 billion in total production inducement, KRW 2,619.4 billion in value-added inducement, and approximately 2,890,443 persons in employment inducement. The value-added inducement effect is estimated to be approximately 7.6% of the North Korean nominal GDP in 2020. South Korean tourism is expected to have a significant impact on the North Korean economy. As the demand for North Korean tourism is likely to increase steadily due to the expected increase in overseas travel demand by Koreans, inter-Korean cooperation is needed for the development of North Korean tourism infrastructure if conditions improve.

This study aims to investigate the impact of the leadership styles of organizations on the organizational commitment of instructors dispatched to social welfare facilities. To achieve this, a survey was conducted with 253 instructors working in welfare facilities, and the results were analyzed using SPSS 22.0. The analysis included frequency analysis, reliability and validity testing, correlation analysis, hypothesis testing, and mediation effect analysis. The findings of this study are as follows: First, servant leadership significantly affected organizational commitment, job satisfaction, and mindfulness. Second, transactional leadership had a significant impact on organizational commitment but did not significantly influence job satisfaction or mindfulness. Third, both mindfulness and job satisfaction were found to significantly affect organizational commitment. Fourth, there was a significant relationship between mindfulness and job satisfaction. These results suggest that leaders who exhibit servant leadership in organizations where dispatched instructors work have a more meaningful impact on increasing the instructors' organizational commitment compared to leaders who display transactional leadership, which may help reduce turnover rates. Additionally, the job satisfaction and mindfulness of dispatched instructors were found to influence organizational commitment, contributing to lower turnover rates and encouraging long-term employment. The mutual influence between job satisfaction and mindfulness enhances the self-efficacy of dispatched instructors, which in turn improves the quality of instruction, positively impacting young children and the elderly. This study sets servant leadership and transactional leadership as independent variables affecting organizational commitment, while examining the mediating roles of job satisfaction and mindfulness. The findings provide foundational data for enhancing organizational commitment among dispatched instructors, reducing turnover, and promoting long-term retention.

As youth employment has become a social issue every year, the government is pushing for policies to support youth start-ups to create jobs voluntarily as a way to enhance the youth employment rate. In the case of young people in Gangwon Province, the number of people moving to other regions is increasing. This research is intended to empirically analyze the actual achievements of youth start-ups through the 'Youth Start-up Project' in Gangwon-do. It was divided into four categories: participation in government support, education completion, intellectual property right retention, and certification retention, which are characteristics of start-up companies, and hypotheses that they will have a positive impact on start-up performance (sales amount, duration of existence, or whether they are retained or not). Age and geographical factors (Yeongdong and Yeongseo) were injected as control variables to see how they affect them. Furthermore, empirical analysis was conducted by setting up a hypothesis that the characteristics of start-up companies and subsequent support between start-up performance would have a positive intermediary effect. The research results showed that the remaining characteristics, except for education completion, had a positive impact on sales, and that the more participation in government projects, the longer the duration of the company's existence. In addition, the level of participation in government support projects was significant in the direction of the government. The analysis results of the parameter, follow-up support, had a positive impact on the start-up performance, and the subsequent support mediating effect showed the mediating effect of the start-up performance, except for geographical factors. The results of this study suggest the need for customized support suitable for the characteristics of youth start-ups in order to enhance the performance of young start-ups. Support agencies need to refer to corporate characteristics for smooth management and selection. In the Gangwon-do area, the government should seek to provide timely and organic support for start-up companies in order to produce successful start-up cases.
A linkage of emissions trading schemes among Korea, China and Japan demonstrates overall increase in gross domestic product (GDP). However, it also demonstrates reductions in household consumption, and the impact of integration could be very unbalanced between the countries. In particular, the reductions in domestic marginal costs are high in both Korea and Japan. Therefore, household consumptions in the two countries decrease despite increases in GDP because Korea and Japan will be purchasers of emissions rights. China, on the other hand, will experience the opposite. The unbalanced impacts on real household consumptions are intensified when emission credits are allocated via paid auctions instead of free allocation. This was demonstrated to be the case because the circumstances of three countries are intensified when using a paid emissions credit allocation scheme, and their differences could potentially hinder the cooperation between the three countries. Under the free allocation scheme, the emission trading schemes' unbalanced impacts on consumption could be mitigated, but unavoidable negative impacts of free allocation schemes are also serious. Based on the analysis results, Korea, China, and Japan will individually face complicated impacts if their carbon markets are integrated. Although the GDP of three countries will increase as a result of carbon market integration, the benefits of integration will surely be unbalanced, and the three countries will experience negative impacts in terms of actual consumption or employment. In particular, increases in income and consumption, reductions in employment, and energy dependence by credit purchasers (Japan and Korea) and production reduction and possibility of offshoring faced by revenue producing countries (China) could serve as a barrier to carbon market integration. To maximize the positive influences of carbon market integration while reducing the risks of negative side effects, the development and application of complimentary policy tools, such as import duties or discounts for emissions credits, are required.
Recently, the importance of the health care industry is increasing due to the rapid changes in the population structure caused by decreasing in fertility rate and aging population. Therefore expansion of government investment in R&D of the health care industry is needed as the demand of health care is increasing. This study attempts to examine the economic impacts of national research and development for the health care industry using an inter-industry analysis. Specifically, the study investigates production-inducing effect, value added inducing effect, and employment-inducing effect of the health care industry based on demand-driven model. These analyses pay particular and close attention to the health care industry by taking it as exogenous rather than endogenous. Here we present results. First, the production-inducing effect and value added inducing effect was high in common real estate and business services and finance and insurance sector. Second, employment-inducing effect of the health care industry showed the highest levels in wholesale and retail sector, followed by the real estate and business services, agriculture sector. Third, the actual 2009 health care industry-related national R&D investment embracing on the production-inducing effect and value added inducing effect. The health care industry R&D induces the production of 4,932 billion won and the value added of 2163 billion won.
This paper aims to examine the effects of increase in childcare subsidy on time allocation of women, particularly low- and moderate-income women with pre-school children. For the purpose, the study adopts seemingly unrelated tobit and analyses data from the 2004 and 2009 Time Use Survey Data of the National Statistical Office. First of all, the results reveal that the policy changes in childcare subsidy affect time allocation of low- and moderate-income women with pre-school children, which increases paid-work whereas decreases caregiving and housework in a daily life. The results show that the changes take place in accordance with the goals of childcare subsidy promoting women's employment and reducing women's burden of caregiving. Yet the study has a couple of limitations- the only marginally significant impact in several variables, little effect on time allocation of all women- for the generalization of the findings. Nevertheless, the results indicate that employment policies for women, particularly for mothers, and the provision of childcare services should be improved to maximize the positive effects of increase in childcare subsidy.

The purpose of this study is to improve the reemployment rate of unemployed job seekers aged 50 to 59 by supporting the foundation of our society and enhancing their value of life. We analyzed the impact of resilience, a psychological factor, on job seeking of unemployed people in their fifties. Subjects were visited and provided employment services in the Employment Welfare Plus Center in the Seoul Metropolitan Area. We devised a questionnaire consisting of three variables of general characteristics, resilience, and job search. Also, the resilience variables comprised sub-variables of control, positiveness, and sociality, and the job search variables involved sub-variables of job preparation, attitude, and willness. Study results the resilience of unemployed persons aged 50 to 59 is above average, and sub-variables of positiveness are highest compared to other sub-variables. Second, there is no significant gender difference in resilience for job search activities. Third, resilience and its sub-variables, such as control and affirmation, affect job-seeking activities. Therefore, this study suggests strengthening the resilience of job seekers in their fifties as well as providing psychological counseling and job training for job-seeking activities.

The purpose of this study was to verify the effects of personal characteristics and military service experience on their entrepreneurial intention. Hypotheses were developed based on extant literature and tested using the data collected by surveys to retiring officers and NCOs. The conclusions drawn from the analysis were as follows. First, the major factors affecting the voluntary self-employment intention are role model, perceived desirability, and working environment. Second, the biggest difficulty in preparing to start a self-employed business is the lack of founding capital and entrepreneurial information. Third, the respondents believe that military career is not helpful in starting a business. Fourth, there were many negative perceptions that the education and training from the military does not help the self-employment. As a result, it is believed that improvement of entrepreneurial education in the military and expansion of entrepreneurial education during service are required. Especially, the education focusing on self-employed entrepreneurship should be improved. It is recommendable that the entrepreneurial education now being carried out by the Military Outplacement Training Institute should be extended not only during the outplacement period but also the normal service period, thereby increasing the intention of the military official.
