  • The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of employment for people with developmental disabilities on their social activities. As a research method, cross-analysis, correlation analysis, and logistic regression analysis were performed using questionnaire data on employment status and social activity for 391 persons with developmental disabilities. As a result of the analysis, first, employment for people with developmental disabilities was found to be significant in social activities. In other words, 79.7% of those with developmental disabilities who were employed participated in social activities, and 39.3% of those who were not employed. Second, employment for people with developmental disabilities, whose personal characteristics were carefully verified as a control variable, had a significant effect on social activities and increased by 5.2 times. According to the results of the study, it can be seen that active employment support for people with developmental disabilities and policy efforts for employment are required for participation in social activities of people with developmental disabilities. Finally it was suggested to supported employment, expand standard workplaces for the disabled, introduce a job coach system, and establish a network with related organizations.

  • We propose joint employment of power control and almost blank subframes (ABSF) for femtocells to mitigate the interference of femto-cells to a macrocell in heterogeneous networks. We obtained improved performance in terms of both femtocells capacity and reduced interference by computer simulations while we have marginally decreased overall network capacity compared to possibly maximum capacity.

  • One of the most important object in youth employment academy is to resolve the job mismatch of youth unemployment through industry oriented human resource development for which company oriented capacity building program for graduate-to-be and graduate is supported. The major characteristic of this program is to compose a network of operation organization, involved company, involved university and trainee, among those the role of operation organization is most important. The operation organization in youth employment academy is supposed to be evaluated by the last employment rate after 6 months to the day following the programs of the year completion. So performance indicator for the operation organization is needed in selecting the operation organization of the next year youth employment academy, which means a kind of mid-term evaluation. In this research, the concept of development of performance indicator for the operation organization in youth employment academy is introduced and major performance indicator are suggested.

  • This paper aims to predict Busan's regional product and employment using the logistic regression models and machine learning models. The following are the main findings of the empirical analysis. First, the OLS regression model shows that the main industries such as electricity and electronics, machine and transport, and finance and insurance affect the Busan's income positively. Second, the binomial logistic regression models show that the Busan's strategic industries such as the future transport machinery, life-care, and smart marine industries contribute on the Busan's income in large order. Third, the multinomial logistic regression models show that the Korea's main industries such as the precise machinery, transport equipment, and machinery influence the Busan's economy positively. And Korea's exports and the depreciation can affect Busan's economy more positively at the higher employment level. Fourth, the voting ensemble model show the higher predictive power than artificial neural network model and support vector machine models. Furthermore, the gradient boosting model and the random forest show the higher predictive power than the voting model in large order.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out subjective perception types and needs of interested group on the employment supporting for students with disabilities in college by Q methodology, then to search for political measures to support employment for students with disabilities in the implication of the sorted subjective perception types. The result of the study showed that there are four major sorts of subjectivities on the employment supporting for students with disabilities in college : external dependence(Type1), disability-friendly (Type2), demand tailored(Type3), internal role emphasis(Type4). The result of the study could check that there was necessary reconstruction to disability-friendly infrastructure based on interset and willness on the employment supporting for students with disabilities in college. In addition to that there was necessary to job creation of government, to build network of industry to successful labor market entry of students with disabilities.

  • This study analyzed the relationship between the social support and life satisfaction of the new-middle aged job seekers, and the mediating effect of re-employment desire. Firstly, the relationship between social support and life satisfaction were significant, therefore it confirmed social support should be expanded to improve new-middle aged life satisfaction. Secondly, the desire for social status, self-realization and leisure utilization were significantly influenced in the relationship between the desire for re-employment and life satisfaction. Thirdly, the re-employment desire had a partial mediating effect in the relationship between social support and life satisfaction. These results suggest that it is important to establish a social network for emotional support continuously after retirement, in addition to career planning for re-employment in the process of preparing for retirement, in order to increase the level of life satisfaction of the new-middle age.

  • Recently, the improvement of computer capacities and artificial intelligence ware caused to employ for prediction of residual stresses and strength evaluation. There are a lot of researches regarding the measurement and prediction of residual stresses for weldment using a neural network in the advanced countries, but in our country, a neural network as a technical part, has only been used on the possibilities of employment for welding area. Furthermore, the relationship between residual stress and process parameters using a neural network was wholly lacking. Therefore development of a new technical method for the optimized process parameters on the reduction of residual stress and applyment of real-time production line should be developed. The objectives of this paper is to measure the residual stress of butt welded specimen using strain gage sectioning method and to apply them to a neural network for prediction of residual stresses on a given process parameter. Also, the assessment of the developed system using a neural network was carried out

  • This study intended to analyze the size and composition of social network and to identify their related variables in urban nuclear families. Data were collected through the questionnaires by wives living in Seoul area. The methods of statistical analysis used in the study were the frequency mean percentile and one-way ANOVA. The findings were as follows; 1) The size of social network in urban nuclear families was 10.0 in average and 2-33 in range. 2) The composition of social network were 45.5% in relatives 20.6% in neighbors. 21.8% in friends. 4,7% in coworkers, 4.1% religious group members 2.1% in associational members. and 1.4% in formal supporters. 3) The birth order of husbands was related to the size of social network. The composition of social network was influenced by SES family life cycle husband's birth order housing type residence duration age education employment religion and familism.

  • In recent years, the employment of directional antennas in ad hoc networks has significantly increased. MAC protocols for ad hoc networks with directional antennas have the potentiality of spatial reuse, large coverage range and network capacity, which mitigates the negative effects associated with omnidirectional antenna systems. However, they suffer from some issues such as hidden terminal problems, deafness, neighbor discovery, flaws with directional carrier sensing, etc. In this paper, we have surveyed the MAC protocols for ad hoc networks with directional antennas, which have been published in the literature, and compared them qualitatively in terms of major characteristics and network performances.
