Data were analyzed by Multivariate Analysis of Variance(MANOVA) and post hoc univariate analyses of variables. Results showed significant differences by age in total and sub-total scores of EITC. When the means of test scores were presented graphically as developmental curves, EI totals and sub-scores showed the increases in EI that occurred with increased maturity. Additional research is needed to verify developmental models of EI and to explore which factors have an effect on EI.

  • As society evolves, people are making more of an effort to learn more about human aspects, one of which is emotional intelligence, a topic on which education experts have traditionally concentrated. This is due to the fact that emotional intelligence has a significant impact on how people think and manage their emotions. On the other side, it promotes the development of expressive ability and aids people in better adapting to life. This study explores the relationship between communication skills, leadership skills, stress management, adaptability, and emotional intelligence of FPT University students to determine the factors that affect students' emotional intelligence. To survey 500 FPT University students, this study used a sample size of 500. Previous studies used a 5-point Likert scale to assess the four skill elements. According to the results, students who completed the survey showed adequate communication skills, leadership qualities, stress management, adaptability, and emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is influenced by communication skills, leadership abilities, stress management, and flexibility. • The purpose of this study is to identify how education and activities of urban forest healing programs affect emotional rest (healing recovery environment awareness, restoration of attention, and leisure life satisfaction). To this end, 38 people were divided into experimental groups (forest healing program education and practice), and control groups (non-program participation). As a result of the study, in the case of the experimental group, emotional rest factors such as healing recovery environment perception, attention recovery, and satisfaction with leisure activities after the program were statistically significantly improved, and in the case of the control group, there was no change in emotional rest after the program. In addition, there were differences between groups in both pre and post regarding the difference in emotional rest between the participant groups, and the difference in emotional rest afterwards was much larger than the pre-difference. In conclusion, people who receive regular education on forest healing and have done actual forest healing activities experience higher emotional rest than those who do not. This suggests that continuous motivation and regular practice can raise awareness of the healing recovery environment, promote attention recovery, and have a positive effect on leisure life through appropriate programs rather than simply taking a walk.

  • This study examined the influence of mothers' and children's emotional expressiveness on children's social competence. Sixty-five kindergarten children and their mothers were observed in a lab setting which included 5 free play and 5 task episodes. The children's and mothers' behaviors during these episodes were videotaped and rated by two coders in terms of emotional expressiveness, sociability to others, ability to regulate frustration, compliance, and autonomy. Intercoder reliability between the two coders for each behavioral category ranged from .84 to .99. The results showed that children's social competence was significantly influenced by their positive expressiveness, indicating that children with higher expressiveness were more sociable to others and less frustrated in a stressful situation. Significant relationships were also found between mothers' and children's negative expressiveness, and children's compliance and autonomy. In particular, the consistency between mothers' and children's levels of negative expressiveness significantly predicted the children's compliance and autonomy. The socialization of emotion between mothers and children was discussed, as was the relationship between emotional and social competence. Suggestions for future study were also presented.
