현대회화에서 신체성의 활용에 관한 연구 (A study of using physical body in Contemporary Painting)

  • Body means 1)the whole structure and substance of a man, animal, or plant 2) the trunk or torso of a man or animal 3) part of garment that covers the trunk 4) the fresh or material substance, as opposed to the spirit. Human body could be distinguished as fresh and spirit. Body has the meaning of physicality. Physical means the bodily and constitution, but in the meaning of constitution there is the content of spirituality. Physicality means the appearing or arising of trace or image or nuance of body. The paintings which are using bodies are 1) directly draw bodies 2) twisting or transformation or nuance of the body and highly upgrade the physical emotion or fantastic bodily nuance 3) directly rubbing artist's body on the surface of painting with pigments to elect tactile specification. These physical art have appeared broadly by various artists, mainly with the social aspects of sex, drug, psycho sexual issues. In case of Joel peter Whitkin, the reason of strong physicality in the art is from the mind of the rejection and resistance of real world which is targeting top, perfect and beauty. Further explanation, being the world which is separated top and under, men and women, beauty and ugly; further in the situation, the hierarchy, terror and pressure began and many difficult problems has derived. The contents of attacking feminists's art works are very obscene to reveal female and male's phallus strongly. Sometime, it is strongly related in the political issues. The physical paintings have strong meanings in the action by hands and feet. It supports that it could reveal the humanity with smell, breath, and traces of bodies. In the bodies, the origin of life begins which gives human life by blood lines and water. Sometime, the physical paintings are made by the blood and urine to stick the physicality for special nuance. The physical paintings are made by the image of penis and clitoris which are related in the image of urinating, ejaculation and sometime is symbolized as pens and candles to drop liquid. The selected painters who are related in physical painting are Jackson Pollock, Andrea Serano, Eve Klein, Francis Bacon, Francesco Clemente, Lichard Long, Jakes & Dinos Chapman, Anselm Kiefer, Kiki Smith and Park, Ki Woong. Francis Bacon's style is destructive in representing human shapes which give us special message about the unbearable activity of men politician, high brain, wealthy and religious people. Francesco Clemente's method is to use throat, ear hole, mouse, clitoris, belly nostrils and every holes of body to transmute human physical body. Lichard Long uses directly his body in drawing the surface of painting by using liquid of mud Jakes & Dinos Chapman destroys or transforms the bodies of human. It sometime appears wrong location of the bodies that the penis and vulva is in between human faces or nose of women, Anselm Kiefer uses human hair for representing the human decaying martyrs, and indirectly using straw, he gives special ritual action to repent the Nazi's fault. From 2002 to 2003, Park KI Woong used women womb images to intermingle the smoke shape of <9.11 terror, 2001> in New York to reveal the painful situation of the time(*).

그림의 색채 감정 효과를 기반으로 한 음악 생성 알고리즘 (Music Generation Algorithm based on the Color-Emotional Effect of a Painting)

  • To enable AI(artificial intelligence) to realize visual emotions, it attempts to create music centered on color, an element that causes emotions in paintings. Traditional image-based music production studies have a limitation in playing notes that are unrelated to the picture because of the absence of musical elements. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm to set the group of music through the average color of the picture, and to produce music after adding diatonic code progression and deleting sound using median value. And the results obtained through the proposed algorithm were analyzed.

S-HTP 검사의 반응 특성 - 한의학적 칠정과 인지과정을 중심으로 (Response Characteristics of S-HTP Tests - Seven Emotions and Cognitive Processes)

  • Objectives: S-HTP is a projective test of cognitive activity. The purpose of this study was to examine the response characteristics in the S-HTP test as they related to seven emotions and cognitive processes. Methods: 153 students underwent S-HTP testing. 10 students were excluded and a total of 143 students' data was used for the study. 143 students were classified into four groups by SCAT. A survey was conducted on seven emotions and cognitive processes painting the Whole picture, house, tree, and person, and after receiving IRB review exemption, the chi-square test was conducted to check homogeneity of the groups by gender and age. Finally, frequency analysis by constitution for each item was conducted. Results: The reaction characteristics of S-HTP, focusing on the seven emotions and cognitive processes detailed by Korean Medicine, are as follows: 1. The primary sentiment while drawing during S-HTP was 'Joy (hui)' followed by 'Thought (sah)'. 2. The sentiments while painting during the S-HTP test, and the emotions of looking at the picture after the S-HTP test, increased in 'Joy (hui)' and decreased in 'Thought (sah)'. 3. 'Thought (Sah)' was the highest scored process while drawing S-HTP, followed by 'jee (智)'. However, 'ryeo (慮)' was similar to 'jee (智)' in an unclassifiable constitution. Conclusions: The primary characteristics of the S-HTP test response are 'Joy (hui)' and 'Thought (sah)' in emotion, and 'sah (思)' and 'jee (智)' in cognitive processes. Therefore, it is necessary to verify this during the S-HTP test.

감성공간디자인의 실증적 연구 - 몸의 움직임을 중심으로 - (An Empirical Study on Emotional Space Design Focused on human body movement -)

  • Emotional interest in the 1970s, Japan started from the technical and engineering beyond the scope, period late structuralist entering the world has been the subject of interest, as well as in academic research is becoming the main theory. In addition, communication between various disciplines such as humanities through the study of consilience and fusion, the human life to continue as a subject, its importance has risen. So this study are to design for the study of emotion through the human heart in space and how the expression of emotions and can be validated in a study. GSD to evaluate the action (verb) and emotional words (adjective) related to two variables to measure the degree of correlation coefficient was an experiment to find out. Picasso painting, it is 'difficult to understand', 'special', 'interesting', 'not interested', 'confused', 'fun', 'anxious', 'dark', 'cool', 'hard' to have relevance, such as the distribution of emotional words, and as a result of the move was a lot of work. This result can be obtained through the arcane resistance of the cubist paintings that make a lot of body movements. In Renoir painting 'stable', 'warm', 'soft', 'easy to understand', 'bright', 'boring', 'curious', such as emotional words ranged to have a relationship with this behavior is less motion in space. This result can be obtained through the understanding of the Impressionist paintings that are less body movements. As a result, space design, emotional design in the evaluation (GSD) for the empirical analysis that evaluated the feasibility and future of the emotional space of the design could be based in the area is considered.

  • 조선 후기 묵장(墨場)의 영수(領岫)로 불리었던 조희룡(趙熙龍)(1789~1866)은 양반가문 출신이었지만 스스로 여항인(閭巷人)이라고 자처하였으며, 중인(中人)들을 중심으로 벽오사(碧梧社)를 결성하여 문예 활동을 하였다. 우봉(又峯)은 "불긍거후(不肯車後)"를 전 생애를 관통하는 예술정신으로 삼았으며, 성영론(性靈論)을 내세워 감성 내지 영감을 예술의 요체로 여겨 진정(眞正)과 개성(個性)을 중시한 독창적 회화심미를 추구하였다. 60대 초반에 약 3년간의 임자도 유배기간은 그의 예술세계에 대한 정체성과 방향성에 심대한 영향을 끼쳤다. 이 기간에 "화구암란묵(畵鷗??墨)", "우해악암고(又海岳庵稿)", "수경재해외적독(壽鏡齋海外赤牘)", "한와헌제화잡존(漢瓦軒題畵雜存)" 등 4권의 저술을 썼으며, 당호(堂號)가 있는 그의 회화 19점 중 "황산냉운도(荒山冷雲圖)", "방운임산수도(倣雲林山水圖)", "매화서옥도(梅花書屋圖)"등 8점이 이때 제작되었다. 이들 작품을 통해 유희적(遊戱的) 속미(俗美) 정신과 수예(手藝)의 기괴(奇怪)함, 그리고 천예(天倪)의 자연스러운 회화심미를 드러내고 있다.

  • 그래픽 유저 인터페이스 디자인에서의 아이콘들은 시각언어로서 정보를 전달하여 사용자들의 행동을 유도할 수 있는 정보전달 매체이다. 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스에서 사용자와의 커뮤니케이션 수단으로 아이콘을 사용하는 것은 사용자가 인지하기 쉽기 때문에 임의의 사용자에게 원하는 시각정보를 효과적으로 제공하고 커뮤니케이션 효율성을 증대시키기 위해서는 Graphic User Interface이라는 매체의 특성에 적합한 아이콘 개발이 이루어져야 한다. 본 연구에서는 아이콘 유형인 그림 아이콘을 중심으로 하여 그림 아이콘의 각 세부적 표현 유형의 선호도에 따른 조형적 영향 요소간의 상관관계를 파악하며 각 표현 유형에 영향을 주는 조형 요소들이 무엇인지를 알아보았다. 이를 바탕으로 아이콘 디자인에서 사용자 선호 지향적 디자인 방향에 대한 지침을 제공하며 디자인을 할 때 데이터로 활용할 수 있는 이론적 근거를 제시하도록 하였다.

  • K-fashion에 대한 세계적인 관심이 증가함에 따라 한국 패션의 세계화를 촉진하기 위해 우리나라 고유의 정체성을 표현할 수 있는 아이템의 개발이 중요한 시점이라 할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 다양한 형태와 뚜렷한 시각적 특성으로 한국적 이미지를 효과적으로 나타낼 수 있는 단청문양을 활용한 가방을 디자인함으로써 전통문양의 현대적 활용 가능성을 제시하고, 패션상품의 영역을 확대해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 단청문양을 재해석하여 현대의 패션 경향에 맞도록 표현하는데 중점을 두었고, 문양에 공예적인 감성과 입체감을 주기 위해 직조나 디지털 프린트가 아닌 레이저 커팅 기법을 이용, 가방을 제작하였다. 연구 결과, 디자인적인 측면에서 형(形)과 구성(構成) 방법을 중심으로 섬세한 문양의 특성을 표현할 수 있었고, 기법적인 측면에서 레이저 커팅(Lazer Cutting)을 사용하여 가죽 상품 디자인 개발의 영역을 확장할 수 있었다. 또한 산업적인 측면에서 우리 민족의 고유한 정서를 표현한 차별화된 상품 개발이 한국 디자인의 세계화를 위해 필요한 영역임을 알 수 있었다.

시각장애인의 미술작품 감상을 위한 색-개념 지향성 향 활용에 관한 연구 (A Study on Using Color-Concept Directed Scent to Allow Visually Impaired People to Appreciate Paintings)

  • 본 논문은 시각장애인의 문화향유권 확대를 위하여 현재 비중 있게 다루어지지 않고 있는 감각인 후각을 사용한 새로운 미술작품 감상법 개발의 가능성에 대하여 다루고 있다. 인간의 후각은 현대사회에서는 크게 중요시되지 않는 감각이지만 이는 문화적인 요인에 의한 것이며, 생물학적인 관점에서 후각은 실용적 활용 가능성을 충분히 지닌 감각이다. 본 연구에서는 여러 종류의 향이 후각을 통하여 인지될 때 각각 고유의 색상 및 개념과 무의식적인 연관 관계를 지니고 있음을 가정하였고, 이를 향의 색 지향성과 개념 지향성이라는 용어로 나타내었다. 연구자들은 실험을 통하여 특정한 일부 향에 색 지향성과 개념 지향성이 존재함을 확인하였고 이러한 향을 활용하여 시각장애인들에게 미술작품에 사용된 색상에 대한 정보를 전달하는데 성공하였다. 본 연구를 기반으로 색채가 지닌 명도와 채도 및 더 다양한 색상을 전달할 수 있는 색-개념 지향성 향의 활용에 관한 연구를 지속할 수 있기를 희망한다.

A Color Study of the Sky Area Focused on the Van Gogh's Paintings

  • This research analyzed the importance and influence of color expression on psychological and emotional changes of visual perception in the creation of art works. This research takes the element of the sky in the works of Vincent William Van Gogh, a Dutch post-Impressionist representative painter, as the basic research objective to prove the influence of color expression of the same thing on the inner emotional communication of the creator. After synthesizing the contents of previous research and investigation on Van Gogh, this research will summarize the works containing sky elements in Van Gogh's works according to his four creative stages, and select representative works for color analysis and comparison. In this paper, by comparing the colors of the same elements of the sky, we can find Van Gogh's guidance of psychological and emotional changes through the expression of colors in his works, which will play a certain inspiring role in the creation of painting art.

공간개념을 적용한 벤치디자인 개발 연구 (A Study on Bench Design Applied the Concept of Space)

  • Space dominates all the art activities human do and plays a role of providing aesthetic emotion. Architecture, sculpture, painting, and furniture, etc. these two and three dimensional works are represented in space and interpreted the role of its form, structure and function. Each area is different, but space has been studied in philosophy, physics, geometry, and mathematical studies, etc. and has been consistently interpreted and represented relating to a variety of human creative activity. Furniture is also three dimensional art being dependent on space. In the United States in 2004, I made the living room bench by applying the spatial concept at Rochester Institute of Technology. Two years later, this design was adopted by wendell Castle Collection, an American furniture company, then prototype were made and tested three times during a year, and then since 2007 as indoor benches it has been manufactured in the United States. The study's purpose is to order the process of its development based on the experience of bench production applied the spatial concept, and by analyzing the properties of spatial concept, I am planning to propose a new concept on interaction with the space and furniture for next.
