This study suggests experimental designs for interior products utilizing LEDs that are ideal for expressing diversity of light. It also attempts to develop various products by incorporating economic efficiency and diverse colors of LEDs into interior elements. LED door handles offer a range of 6-color LED lighting strips as a safety lighting system, while multi-function furniture (CUBE-scape) consists of LEDs with double-sided emitted lighting on completely transparent track structures. Both products are designed to make interior elements more user-friendly as they make most use of unique effects of LED such as light vibration and changes. Also the combination of plastic material-Technogel$^{\circledR}$, polypropylene, polycarbonate- maximize the LED lighting effect and diversify the designed item selection.

As changed population structure variously, population decrease is one of the important problem in present urbanization. It resulted decline of the medium-large size housings that increasing of 1-2 person household need the variety of small housing with housing type. This study was researched the Gold-Generation on theme by Gold Miss, Gold Mr. who preferring urban small housings that it analyzed survey of Gold generation who be wanted urban small housing by interior coordination elements. Data to be analyzed that first, Gold Mr. and Miss are preferred two bedroom applied by spatial structure coordination. Especially it is based on the separation between livingroom and bedroom with duplex type which is bathroom formed single unit type(shower/toilet/basin). In interior coordination of spatial elements, Gold Mr. considered the form of kitchen with huge ㄷ type instead of Gold Miss are preferred alpha room or alpha space to use powder room or dress room. Second, In Preference of interior coordination elements, Gold Mr. and Miss are preferred bed-clothes and curtains by fabrics, lighting are hanging and spot lighting, accessories are carpet with rug and porcelains. Color are preferred bright scheme both white and ivory, however preference of furniture is different from Gold Mr. and Gold Miss that Gold Mr. are ordered desk, sofa and shelves but Gold Miss are preferred sofa, bed, and dressing table. It showed between Gold Mr. and Gold Miss are equal needs or differences. It expects the basic research for understanding the interior coordination elements for preference in urban small housing as focused on Gold generation(Gold Miss, Gold Mr.) that they will be applied the interior space on urban small housing.

With development of digital technology and build-up of global network in the 21st century, Korea has recklessly accepted Western information and culture in recent years, thus causing damages to out identity. In the situation, restoration and development of traditions in a modern way will contribute to the creation of contemporary interiors. This study has analyzed and assessed the process through which traditional decorative elements have applied to contemporary interior decorations over the past ten years with a view to identify the trend of expressing traditional elements in comtemporary interiors. Designs that have applied traditional elements in a transfigure expression method amounted to 77 pieces, accounting for $43\%$ of the total investigated 178 designs, which was followed by 48 designs ($27\%$) of metaphor expression method and 39 designs ($22\%$) of symbol expression method, which express the tradition as interpreted by the designer. Designs that have adopted direct expression method amounted to no more than 14 pieces, accounting only for $8\%$ of the total designs. This result suggests that transformative, metaphoric and symbolic expressions that simplify or transform the original forms we more frequently used In the applications of traditional elements to modern interiors rather than directive expression that reproduces the original form as it was.

The main consumers of wedding market are young people. They prefer differentiated and unique wedding and with the deregulation of using five-star hotels as wedding spaces in 1999, the wedding market has entered into an era of new competition. Under the background like above, this study tries to provide the basis for the effective and systematic interior coordination of wedding spaces. For this study, large banquet halls at 16 five-star hotels in Seoul were selected. Theoretical and field examinations, and interviews were conducted. The elements of wedding space include the architectural elements of floor, walls, and ceiling and lighting, color, fabric, table setting, and flower coordination. This study found that uniformity or repetition is used for the walls while modules are used for the ceiling. Unlike the past, LED is used for lighting to create diverse colors and the range of colors used has been broadened. In addition, fabric, table setting, and flowers are used actively to create overall atmosphere of the space. When these elements are aggregated and analyzed by hotel for interior design style, Hotels H and S have modern style, Hotels L and P have elegant style and Hotel IP have classical style.

The purpose of the study is to propose a new surface design concepts within fractal pattern. In this study, I am offering the fractal concepts drawn from science, as a new anchoring point for surface design. Fractal Patterns are generated by transforming a seed slab into a number of constituent elements through fractal operations of rotation, scaling and linear transformations. These elements are bound together as a second generation seed shape which is reiterated according to the same transformations. This process continues for as many generations as desired. In conclusion, this study places a great emphasis on the natural pattern order to the surface generation, which I hope will contribute to generating a number of creative possibilities for interior design.

New paradigm of modern society today - environmentally sound and sustainable development - led to the attempt on the introduction of natural elements in various spaces by people's interest in the quality of life. As one of the distinguished space marketing in designing the outer space of resort, this plan attempts to limit artificial boundary within open scenery, thus creating nature within nature - interior theme garden. In addition, this plan is aimed to obtain location property of inner garden through limited boundary, to promote the identity of resort by endowing it with new values in space and to form emotion care garden and culture garden for users. The plan has proceeded under the following concepts. 1) Differentiation from outer space has been made by creating a theme garden with unique theme garden - landscape elements and an attempt have been made to increase the values of interior garden through the introduction of new species of plants and the state-of-the-art facilities. 2) Emotion care garden - The garden has been created to get emotion purified systematically within nature and let people take a rest and enjoy their spare time. 3) Culture garden - The garden has been planned where culture could be created through various experience activities as a space with education and entertainment by providing a variety of interesting elements.

This purpose of this study was about the analysis on the dynamic expression of geometric manipulation in interior composition elements. The paradigm of contemporary times became different from paradigm of modern times. The change of paradigm is caused by the side effect of paradigm of pre-times. In the contemporary architectural condition, architecture have a tendency to plural characteristics. This study investigates systemically ‘the DYNAMISM’ as a part of contemporary interior space's feature, based on geometric manipulation in interior composition elements. Since it is important to understand data acquiring characteristics through relationship between spatial types and spatial elements and apply it to spatial plans for smooth communication between designer and user of space, the conclusions gained from analysis of data acquiring characteristics of spatial elements through image evaluation by types of interior space can be summarized as in the followings: First, for the amount of acquired data by types of interior space, it shows that the acquired amount of data is to change by types and data acquiring method (phrase and image) even though the spatial elements are same. Second, for the data acquiring process of spatial types by gender, it shows that there is a big difference in acquiring of data according to the evaluation method by phrase and image. Third, for the amount of acquired data of spatial types by gender, it shows that there is a difference between male and female, which is by "classic ${\rightarrow}$ modern ${\rightarrow}$ natural" in case of male and "classic ${\rightarrow}$ natural ${\rightarrow}$ modern" in case of female. regarding both of phrase and image. Fourth, for the evaluation by gender, it shows that there is a deviation in the value of difference according to the elements by which data acquiring characteristics evaluate space. It is considered that this deviation characteristic is in need of reflection in the process of spatial evaluation. This study analyzed data acquiring characteristics of space user's spatial elements through image evaluation by types of space to understand how data acquiring would be changed of spatial elements according to type and gender. Through this study, it expects to make clear that, when a designer is planning a certain space, if the space can be a space for the user by understanding of which elements should be exposed to users by types to acquire more data.

This study aims by analysing the interior design elements trends of current medium size office buildings in Seoul. The analysing objects are ceiling, floor, wall, and illumination plan of current office buildings. Analysing tools are finishing material and color of each part. Analysing areas are lobby area, deskwork area, conference area, welfare area, public area(rest room, corridor, stair). The interior design elements of lobby shows a lots of different features then the other areas in ceiling, floor, and wall design. Such difference appears at finishing material especially, and the coloring is more splendorous then the other areas. Desk work area and conference area have similar characteristics in finishing materiors and colors, and they usually follow the needs of function. Walfare area shows more splendorous feature then deskwork and conference area, and designed by various materials and colors. Public area also shows very active design concept then past times.

In the modern ages when the surroundings of a city has become firm and monotonous this study designed to suggest an direction towards creative approaches to space planning by analyzing the images of interior space with the introduction of natural expressions as an alternative to create original space in order to give vitality to the previous standardized space and to satisfy human beings psychological desire. The results of the analysis as a way of expressing direct indirect and eclectic images using nature a source of arts read that most of the natural expressions show perceptive images strongly that natural elements can become the elements of design in any form and that nature's images are expressed by not only natural and artificial materials. In conclusion natural expression in interior space does not have any fixed form of expression but gives a great deal of vocabulary to the image formation of interior space by stimulating being's sentiment with the spatial restructure of nature's own particular order of form.
