Optimum Shape Design of Magnetizing Yoke of 2 Pole PM Motor for Cogging Torque Reduction

  • A novel cogging torque reduction algorithm is presented for 2-pole permanent magnet DC motor. While the shape of the permanent magnet is changed in the conventional method, the pole shape of the magnetizing yoke is optimized in the presented algorithm. In order to parameterize the shape of the yoke, and the distribution of the residual magnetization of the permanent magnet, the Bezier spline is used. The shape of the magnetizing yoke is optimized using the design sensitivity analysis incorporated with the finite element method and Bezier spline.

  • The Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM) has various advantages. However, new types of research have been carried out because of rising prices of materials for rare earth magnets used in PMSM and also unstable supply. In this paper, we propose Consequent Pole(CP) type IPMSM for magnet reduction. The shape of CP type IPMSM stator was same with Basic model IPMSM. The design of the rotor shape was proceeded that CP type IPMSM achieved the same output as the basic model IPMSM. Finally, the selected model and IPMSM were compared and discussed.

  • The salient pole rotor type single phase SRM has a salient pole in the rotor in order to use axial direction fluxes and radial direction fluxes simultaneously. A flux linkage between the rotor and the stator are increased because of the salient pole in the rotor. But, the inductance at unaligned position and aligned position is increased together. Therefore, the length of pole are and salient pole should be selected that the inductance increment at aligned position is higher than the inductance increment at unaligned position. On this paper, we will be studied the influence of the pole arc and the salient pole length on the torque of the salient pole rotor type single phase SRM.

접지저항 측정을 위한 보조전극 위치에 따른 접지저항 비교 분석 (The Comparison and Analysis about Earth Resistance for Measuring of Earth Resistance by Measurement Positions of Auxiliary Poles)

  • 본 논문에서는 전류보조전극 및 전위보조전극의 접지저항 측정위치에 따른 접지저항 측정결과를 비교 분석하였다. 국내의 경우 접지전극의 대각선 길이의 6.5배 이상에서 접지저항을 측정하고 있으나 도심지역에서는 이와 같은 방법은 한계를 나타내고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 접지저항 측정시 접지전극, 전류보조전극과 전위 보조전극간의 거리, 각도를 변경하여 접지저항을 측정하였다. 측정결과 접지전극과 전류보조전극간의 거리를 50[m] 이상, 전위보조전극을 30[m] 이상 이격을 하고 전류보조전극과 전위보조전극을 45도 이상 각도를 유지할 경우 안정적인 접지저항이 측정되었다.

  • This paper summarizes the research results of the load management for pole transformers done in 1997-1998 and 2000-2002. The purpose of the research is to enhance the accuracy of peak load estimation in pole transformers. We concentrated our effort on the acquisition of massive actual load data for modifying the load regression coefficients, which related to the peak load estimation of lamp-use customers, and adjusting the demand-factor coefficients, which used for the peak load prediction of motor-use customers. To enhance the load regression equations, the 264 load data acquisition devices are equipped to the sample pole transformers. For the modification of demand factor coefficients, the peak load currents are measured in each customer and pole transformer for 13 KEPCO (Korea Electric Power Corporation) distribution branch offices. Case studies for 50 sample pole transformers show that the proposed coefficients could reduce estimating error of the peak load for pole transformers, compared with the conventional one.

  • This paper Presents a design schemes to minimize torque ripple in 6/4 Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) using transient Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in which the magnetic field is combined with a driving circuit. Pole arcs and switching angles are major design factors. If these design factors are considered independently, the enhancement of SRM Performance is restricted. Therefore, this paper proposes not only optimal combination of stator pole arc and rotor pole arc but also the turn-on and turn-off angles as a function of pole arcs. Especially, turn-on and turn-off angle are formulated from a voltage equation and feasible design ranges are suggested with variable speed.

Radial Force Control of a Novel Hybrid Pole BLSRM

  • This paper presents a novel hybrid pole BLSRM (Bearingless Switched Reluctance Motor) and its radial force control scheme. The proposed hybrid pole BLSRM has separated radial force poles and rotating torque poles. According to the FEM analysis, the proposed BLSRM has an excellent linear characteristic of radial force and controllability that is independent from the torque current. The radial force can be produced by the radial force winding which is wound at the separated radial force poles. The rotating torque is produced by the excitation current of the torque windings which are wound at the torque pole. The proposed radial force control scheme is independent of the phase torque winding current. A simple PID controller and look-up table are used to maintain a constant rotor air-gap. The proposed BLSRM and its radial force control scheme are verified by FEM analysis and experimental tests.

  • In this paper, the electrical characteristics of Insulating paper, for pole transformers, subjected to accelerated ageing were observed and the results were compared with those of virgin insulating paper. For the experiment, insulating materials for pole transformers were enclosed together in an oil bath and thermally aged under the real pole transformer operating conditions. After the accelerated ageing of the insulating materials, the dielectrics were measured and compared with the results of the virgin ones.

  • In this study, we analyzed the influence of electrical pole by FEM(Finite Element Method) and developed protective system by designing and interpreting protective system for electrical pole when abnormal strength worked on messenger wire. Protective system did not shed messenger wire under wind pressure and discontent load but did assign a part to preventing rupture of electrical pole through automatically shed messenger wire over fixed strength. Structure of protective system analysis by FEM and prove property by measuring tensile strength for practical product.

  • In this paper, we consider the robust pole assignment inside the circular region for linear systems with time-varing uncertainty. The considered uncertainties are the norm bounded uncertainty and the matrix polytopes type uncertainty. Since the considered uncertainties are time-varying, it should remind that the closed loop system be time-varing system. Therefore, we should consider not only the pole assignment but also the stability. We present new conditions that guarantee the robust pole assignment and the robust stability. Finally, we show the usefulness of our results by an example.
