  • This paper describes the development of the linear pulse motor (herea-fter, LPM) and the driver system to control the quantity of fuel in the nuclear furnace. The LPM developed in this study is a kind of the linear motor with the properties of moving up and down, and both the stator and the mover of the LPM are designed as the salient type. Especially, the stator has windings but there is no windings or magnet on the mover. To Maximize the characteristics of the LPM, we chose the asymmetric bridge converter as the driving system for LPM.

  • The new controller which conststs of IBM-PC/AT, SBC, servo module and motor driver has been developed for KIMMBOT II robot. The servo module which controls two axes at the same time also has beendeveloped. This module inputs relative number of pulse and feedrate via multbus, after then outputs analog command voltage with reference to feedback pulses from the encoder of a motor. This system has a great flexibility. The reduction of parts gives more reliability.

  • In this paper, In the whole industry, there is a tendency to replace brushless motors with brushless motors because of the high rate of failure in DC motors with brushes. Accordingly, many methods for driving a brushless motor have been developed and studied. In order to drive the brushless motor, it is essential to know the information about the rotor position of the motor. However, it is not possible to use a position sensor for rotor disconnection due to the structure of an electric compressor brushless DC motor. In this paper, we investigate the rotor position of the motor by using the counter electromotive force included in the voltage of the terminal made by Y connection by using the resistance of each phase without using Hall sensor or encoder generally used to detect the rotor position. A sensorless drive system for a square wave brushless direct current (DC) motor is proposed. To do this, we propose a method to detect the rotor position from the analyzed terminal voltage waveform by performing terminal voltage analysis of each phase for 3-phase, 2-exciton unipolar PWM.

  • In this paper Valentine Braitenberg structure based sensory motor model for object tracking control system was proposed. Conventional model based control schemes are require highly non-linear mathematical models, which require long computational time to solve complex high order equations. Contrast to conventional models proposed system simply link signal data from camera directly to the inputs of neural network, and outputs of network are directly fed into input of motor driver of camera. With simple structure of sensory motor model, real time tracking control system for dynamic object was realized successfully, and the implementation of sensory motor model can overcome the limitation of model-based control schemes.

  • 본 논문에서는 stepper motor 나 BLDC motor를 구동하기 위하여, 최신 microcontroller, PC, control IC board 등으로 구성된 새로운 시스템을 설명하는데 목적이 있다. 이 시스템에서는 인터넷으로 전송되는 microcontroller program를 이용하여 SPDS(smart power development system)을 구동시키고, 이로 인하여 dedicated drive IC를 제어하여 stepper 또는 BLDC motor를 구동시키게 되며, 원격지에 있는 사용자의 motor를 제어함을 목표로 하고 있다. 본 논문에서 사용된 drive IC 는 SGS-Thomson 제품으로써 stepper motor 용으로 L6205/6/7/8, 그리고 BLDC motor 용으로 L6235 이다. SPDS는 ST92F120 16-bit microcontroller를 사용하고 있다. 이 논문에서는 인터넷 Protocol Converter에 의한 프로그램 전송, Operating System Program 및 Driver Software Program의 생성 및 구성, Drive IC의 구성 및 특징, SPDS 의 hardware 및 software 의 구성 등에 대하여 설명한다.

  • Recently most machineries have been small size and mobile type. And human body insertion type endoscope and micro robot technology has been developed. Then the motors used in this field are developed in micro size such as about 2mm in diameter. The structure of this motor is similar to a general brushless DC(BLDC) motor but because of small size there is no position sensor such as hall sensor. In this paper, a design and fabrication result of an ultra-small brushless DC motor is presented. This motor is designed to 3-phase coreless winding and operated with sensor-less type driver. Test results confirmed the feasibility of the proposed motor drive system design.

  • This paper proposes a variable structure position controller for an induction motor(IM) which uses a reaching law and an integral compensating nonlinear switching function. With the integral compensating nonlinear switching function, both very low overshoot and high steady state control accuracy can be obtained by compensating the states chattering problem due to the unmodelled dynamics of inverter and feedback sensors. With the reaching law, reaching mode can be established quantitatively during transient state so that dynamic control performance is improved. For experiment a digital servo driver which consists of a DSP and an IPM inverter was developed. With the various experimental results, IM position control performance was verified.

  • In this paper, designs of an Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM) and its motor driver for 42V automotive air condition system are introduced. The characteristics of the IPMSM are predicted by using d-q equivalent circuit having the parameters, such as current phase angle, d-q axis inductances, core loss resistance, etc. The experimental and analysis results of the prototype are compared to show validity of the analysis method, and to give analyzed characteristics in detail. As the result, an improved IPMSM is designed to widen the operating speed limit of prototype; a cost effective AC drive are considered at the same time.

  • This Paper deals with a Auto-Tuning Fuzzy PID Controller used in real time and its application for induction motor. The control strategy of the controller is able to develop and improve automatically. The new Auto-Tuning Fuzzy PID Control algorithm which modifies the fuzzy control decision table is presented in this paper. It can automatically refine an initial approximate set of fuzzy rules. The possibility of applying fuzzy algorithms in faster response, and more accurate was compared with other industrial processes, such as AC Motor driver. The performance of Proportional_Integral Derivative(PID) control and this fuzzy controllers is compared in terms of steady_state error, settling time, and response time. And then, Limitations of fuzzy control algorithms are also described.

  • Switched Reluctance Motor has advantages such as simple structure, low cost and so on compared with induction motor. Efficiency is higher than induction motor, so there is beneficial cost. Also torque character has essential character of superiority step motor and a DC motor character that depends on variable speed. This paper presented the research of speed and current control system of SRM using the DSP. At first, a simulation model on Matlab/simulink was performed. SRM speed control algorithm investigated the control method. Then driver and control system developed to do experiment.
