  • This paper describes detent force minimization techniques of Permanment Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor(PMLSM) for the improvement of control and the driver system to control the position and velocity, PMLSM are simulated by operating open-loop system and PI control system, and in actuality the control system is implemented by DSP based controller and PWM inverter to investigate the characteristics of both open-loop system and PI control system.

  • This paper describes design method of control system with a pre-compensator using a neural network to compensate a error signal between a reference' signal and system response. The neural network which is used here is the mixed structure and it's algorithm is a back propagation that modify coupling coefficients. Applying this method to the position control system using DC servo motor as a driver, we verify the usefulness of this method with simulation.

  • This paper deals with the 3 dimensional finite element analysis using the periodic boundary condition in case analyzing model has a periodic structure. Using the periodic boundary condition we can reduce computer's memories and computation tine. because only the one period of the model is analyzed. To verify the usefulness of the proposed algorithm, can stack type PM step motor which used in FDD head driver is choosen and analyzed.

  • In this paper, a backstepping speed controller applied in SRM is presented. The driver of SRM is generally planned with a PI controller. A PI controller is becomes a satisfied structure in the system. it is used in position and speed control loops. However, when the system parameter uncertainties large inertia and load disturbance, it will not be able to expect a satisfied efficiency. Therefore, a backstepping control law was researched, which is able application even to a linear system as well as a nonlinear and it is more excellent than a origin adaptive control law. In this paper, a backstepping control law applied the drive system of SRM was used in the drive controller. The computer simulation result clearly show that the applied backstepping controller can track the speed reference signal generated by internal signals.

  • In this paper, a low on-resistance and high current driving capability trench gate power metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) incorporating a current sensing feature is proposed and evaluated. In order to realize higher cell density, higher current driving capability, cost-effective production, and higher reliability, self-aligned trench etching and hydrogen annealing techniques are developed. While maintaining low threshold voltage and simultaneously improving gate oxide integrity, the double-layer gate oxide technology was adapted. The trench gate power MOSFET was designed with a 0.6 μm trench width and 3.0 μm cell pitch. The evaluated on-resistance and breakdown voltage of the device were less than 24 mΩ and 105 V, respectively. The measured sensing ratio was approximately 70:1. Sensing ratio variations depending on the gate applied voltage of 4 V ~ 10 V were less than 5.6%.

  • This paper deals with an experirrental study of a nondestructive testing system using a solenoid eddy currnet sensor to inspect deteriorations in overhead distribution lines, such as broken wires, severe local corrosion or zinc loss. Corrosion rrechanisrn for ACSR and ACSR-OC is discussed and characteristics for a solenoid sensor to insprt the georretrical pararreters of the coil and testing materials impOOance are briefly analyzed. A measurement system having a constant current source, a signal processing unit and a motor driver is impIemented. This instrument has such capabilities as detecting the sensor output and estimating dinHlsions of the testing conductors, continuously. As a result, it was shown that the eddy current sensor with an encircling coil could effectively estimate the diatreter change due to deteriorations in overhead distribution lines. lines.

  • The conventional drive system of SRM has a current sensor per each phase. The torque demand signal generated by the outer control loop is translated into individual current reference signal for each phase. The torque is controlled by regulating these currents. Using the SRM in a variable-speed control, the phase currents are generally regulated to achieve a square wave. The simplest form of current regulation uses fixed frequency delta modulation of the phase voltages. The aim of this paper is to regulate 3-phases current of SRM by only single current sensor using delta modulation with digital chip. In this paper, the asymmetric bridge converter which is able to control independently phases and be excited simultaneously is used as the driver system for 6/4 poles SRM. And the current sensor is replaced 3 sensors of each phase with only one on bus line of converter so as to detect current of every phase. The proposed delta modulation technique has been implemented in a simple digital logic circuit using EPLD(Electrically Programmable Logic Device). This method is verified through simulation and experiment results.

  • This paper is to analyze and study the cause of fire examples produced because of short phenomenon by electric connecting damage and contacting engine over-heating with combustible materials in engine room of vehicle. In the first example, it knew the fact that the fire produced by contacting with body of vehicle because of loosed of bracket bolt for wire fixing that installed on the transmission case the battery power cable supply the power from battery of engine room to starting motor. In the second example, it certified the fire by short phenomenon because of insulation tape melting wound wiring lined from battery to starting motor. In the third example, it sought for fire's cause that melting phenomenon the wire coating by overheated engine as the wire disconnected with connector by the vibration. Therefore, the fire of system including engine electric made in the danger the people in the car by failure of engine and other system. And than, the car's driver must manage and examine a vehicle conscientiously.

Development of Massage Seat Actuator for Automobile using Electromagnetic Analysis and Simulation (전자기해석 및 시뮬레이션을 적용한 차량용 마사지 시트 액츄에이터 개발)

  • Recently, researches about automobile seat having function to support the comfort to driver and passenger during the driving are conducted in various fields including automobile seat having massage function. The effect of massage depends on the pattern of massage such as time, magnitude, and shape. In this paper, linear motor actuator, which is used as driving method in the automobile massage seat, and electromagnetic analysis method, which is used to improve the magnetic efficiency in the design of autuator, is proposed. Electromagnetic analysis using finite element method is conducted in the design of linear motor actuator. Input voltage shape for massage pattern is calculated by simulation using mathematical model of actuator. Performance test for massage pattern generation is conducted with automobile massage seat having developed actuator and controller. It is verified that developed actuator system is applicable in the automobile massage seat.

Design of Planetary Gear Drive Unit for Drive Conversion of Transfer case (Transfer case의 구동변환을 위한 유성기어장치 구동부 설계)

  • Since the four-wheel drive transmits the driving force to all four wheels, the traction with the road surface increases, thereby increasing the driving force. However, it has the disadvantage of lowering fuel efficiency. Therefore, four-wheel drive is commonly used as a method of converting to optional four-wheel drive when necessary while driving in two-wheel drive. This selective four-wheel drive converts the driving force by mechanically changing the electric signal sent by the driver in the transfer case. In this study, in order to mechanically change the electrical signal, a reducer is applied to the motor to increase the torque to perform the function. Therefore, in this study, a reduction mechanism applicable to the motor inside the transfer case applied to convert the drive is derived, and the reduction ratio applying the planetary gear type is optimized accordingly. And based on the derived reduction ratio, two sets of planetary gears using a ring gear in common were applied to develop a planetary gear tooth type in which the input shaft and output shaft are decelerated in the same phase. Optimization design was carried out.
