업무용 빌딩의 전력소비 특성을 고려한 수용률/부등률의 적용에 관한 연구 (Recommended Practice for Demand Factor/Diversity Factor with respect to Power Consumption Characteristics in Commercial Buildings)

  • 계속되는 경제 성장과 고도 정보화 사회의 진전으로 전기에너지의 소비는 급격히 증가하고 있다. 특히 업무용 빌딩과 같은 전력다소비 건물에서는 전력의 효율적 이용에 의한 에너지절감은 물론 설계 단계에서의 합리적인 전기설비 설계가 요청되고 있다. 현재 우리나라의 기후 특성과 전력소비 특성을 고려한 합리적인 전기설비 설계를 위한 기초 자료가 매우 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구는 업무용 빌딩의 전력소비특성을 조사하여 변전시설용량의 합리적 설계를 위한 수용률/부등률 적용 기준을 제시하고, 합리적 전기설비 설계를 유도하고자 한다.

Comparative Study of DC Breakdown and Space Charge Characteristics of Insulation Paper Impregnated with Natural Ester and Mineral Oil

  • Natural ester is a suitable substitute for mineral oil and has been widely used in AC transformer in many countries. In order to further application of natural ester in direct current (DC) equipment, it is needed to investigate its long term insulation property under DC condition. In this paper, a thermal ageing experiment was conducted for both mineral oil-paper and natural ester-paper insulation. The DC breakdown and space charge characteristics of insulation paper impregnated with natural ester and mineral oil was compared. Results show that the resistivity of the paper immersed in natural ester and mineral oil both increase as the ageing goes on. While insulation paper impregnated with natural ester has higher resistivity and DC breakdown voltage than the paper impregnated with mineral oil. The DC breakdown voltage for the oil impregnated insulation paper being DC pre-stressing is higher than that without pre-stressing. The average DC breakdown field strength difference between the test with pre-stressing and without pre-stressing clearly shows that there is an apparent enhancement effect for the homo-charge injection on the DC breakdown.

Experimental Study on Combined Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion with Waste Heat of Power Plant

  • This work is experimental study of 10 kW specialized Combined Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion. We propose a C-OTEC technology that directly uses exhaust thermal energy from power station condensers to heat the working fluid (R134a), and tests the feasibility of such power station by designing, manufacturing, installing, and operating a 10 kW-pilot facility. Power generation status was monitored by using exhaust thermal energy from an existing power plant located on the east coast of the Korean peninsula, heat exchange with 300 kW of heat capacity, and a turbine, which can exceed enthalpy efficiency of 45%. Output of 8.5 kW at efficiency of 3.5% was monitored when the condenser temperature and seawater temperature are $29^{\circ}C$ and $7.5^{\circ}C$, respectively. The evaluation of the impact of large-capacity C-OTEC technology on power station confirmed the increased value of the technology on existing power generating equipment by improving output value and reducing hot waste water. Through the research result, the technical possibility of C-OTEC has been confirmed, and it is being conducted at 200 kW-class to gain economic feasibility. Based on the results, authors present an empirical study result on the 200 kW C-OTEC design and review the impact on power plant.

  • The primary role of traction power systems is to provide reliable and continuous electrical energy to satisfy traction loads. AC traction substation transforms power from generation company and supply the power to the electric railway power line. Forced outage rate(FOR) of the equipment of substation should be used in the evaluation. This paper proposes the fast and easy way to evaluate by using Bayes' theory when a new equipment is added to the existing substation facility.

  • Flow-able backfill is known as soil-cement slurry, void fill, and controlled low-strength material (CLSM). The benefits of CLSM include reduced equipment costs, faster construction, re-excavation in the future, and the ability to place material in confined spaces such as narrow parts nearly impossible for compaction or perimeter of underground power cables. A review of some recent full-scale tests carried out by KEPRI on slurry backfill materials for application in underground power cable was presented. Based on this research, applicability was assessed and compare to results of laboratory tests for improved slurry materials with optimal mixture contents.

  • 2001년 KORAIL에 도입된 8100대 신형 전기기관차는 독일 SIEMENS사의 BR152 모델을 국내 설정에 맞도록 들어와 부분 수정 및 보완 통하여, 2003년 8200대 신형 전기기관차를 탄생하도록 한 PROTOTYPE 이다. 8100대 신형전기기관차와 8200대 신형 전기기관차는 유사하지만, 일부 수정되고 개선된 부분 중의 하나가 객차 전원 공급(이하'HEP) 장치이다. 이에 본 논문은 8200대 신형 전기기관차의 HEP 장치에서 무궁화호 객차로 공급되는 HEP 전원의 고조파 왜율에 대하여 원제작사의 조합시험 결과를 바탕으로 현재 운용중인 KORAIL 8200대 신형 전기기관차의 HEP 전원의 고조파 왜율을 실측하여 상호 비교하고, 전원 공급 장치의 고조파 왜율에 대한 국제규격 및 현황을 설명하고자 한다.

  • HEP(Head Electric Power) system, supplying 3-phase service power to the coach vehicles, is a kind of special auxiliary power equipment which is boarded on 8200 series electric locomotives in KORAIL. This equipment shares high voltage DC link with a main propulsion converter/inverter systems. It was difficult to use high frequency PWM technique so that GTO has been used as a power device same like the main power system. Due to low PWM frequency(300Hz) of HEP inverter, the output voltage has less power quality comparing to normal SIV(Static Inverter) system. In this paper, an optimal PWM strategy is presented for new IGBT type HEP inverter system. Several PWM techniques were investigated to improve output voltage quality under fixed lower filter inductance and not high PWM frequency. Finally PC simulations have been done to clarify its availability.

  • The electrical safety and efficiency is the most important thing of the electric vehicle charging system. The prior system is contact charging system that is contacted directly by human. So, it has riskiness such as electric shock in the case of poor insulation or contact problems. To solve these safety issues and the convenience problems, a wireless power transmission system has been developed and is currently in trial operation. However, because high frequency is used in wireless power transmission system instead of commercial frequency, we need to apply protection measures concerning electric shock and equipment protection. Also, it should be accompanied by measuring efficiency for the effective operation of the wireless power transmission system. Therefore, we structured monitoring system in trial operation area of wireless power transmission system and applied decision algorithm for protection of human and equipment and economic operation of it.

  • 발 변전설비 중 중요한 설비의 하나로 손꼽히는 변압기는 운전 중 신뢰성 확보가 관건이라 할 수 있다. 최근 안정적 전력공급에 대한 요구가 증대됨에 따라 변압기 이상진단 기술지원 요청이 매년 증가하고 있으며, 특히 절연과 냉각작용이 주기능인 전기절연유의 자체 품질관리는 변압기 예방진단을 위해 시행하고 있는 유중가스분석 못지않게 중요하다. 이에 전력연구원에서는 1999년 전산가 간이측정 기구를 개발하여 별도의 분석의뢰 없이 현장에서 바로 측정하여 절연유의 품질관리에 적용할 수 있도록 한 바 있다. 본 논문은 2008년 1월부터 4개월간 12개 전력관리처에 배분하여 66kV이상 급 모든 변압기의 전산가 현장측정을 완료하고 이에 대한 적용결과와 현장적용성을 검토하였다.

  • 전력설비가 열화, 서지에 의해 절연이 파괴되었을 경우 밀폐기기 경우 폭발, 화재를 일으킴으로써 일반인에게 피해를 입히거나 인근 설비로 파급이 확대될 가능성이 있다. 최근 전력설비는 대용량화 추세인 반면 콤팩트 사이즈를 요구하고 있어 절연문제로 인한 폭발 가능성은 더욱 커지고 있다. 이러한 전력설비의 폭발을 방지하고 피해확대를 줄이기 위해 방압변, 순간압력상승 방지장치 등이 설치되고 있으나, 예방에는 한계가 있다. 이에 최근, 국외를 중심으로 전력기기 특히, 지상설치기기의 안전성 확보를 위해 고속투입 접지스위치(Arc Eliminator)를 개발하여 설치 의무화를 고려하고 있다.
