  • On inquiry of international comparison assessment, the Korean students achieve high scores in mathematics while they achieve relatively low scores in responses of the affective questionnaire. It can be an important point in mathematics education of Korea, but there are few studies which explore the specific reasons. So in this study, we analysed the results of PISA 2003(in math domain) based on multiple regression analysis and correlation analysis to investigate the reasons and features of those phenomena. We compared the results of Korean students with students of other countries. As a result, there were 7 factors which effect on Korean students' affective domain in mathematics learning and they were statistically significant. According to this study, it needs to improve students' positive attitudes to their school, mathematical interest, and positive self-concept. And it needs to develop an actual instrument to explore the affective domain which effect on mathematics learning.

  • In this paper, we did not observe only the actual condition of accounting education, but also proposed the improvements for better education in commercial high schools in Jeju. We expect that those enable the high school students to be interested in accounting. These days, crisis of the accounting education is not only caused by poor educational system, but also is caused in large part by lack of efforts for improving the accounting education. In order to improve the quality of the accounting education and enable the students to be interested in accounting, it is necessary to understand why the students feel difficult about accounting. Learning the reasons enables teachers to educate by much more personalized curriculum, so that those will provide the opportunities to enable the students to pay more attention to accounting. we analyzed the realities in educating accounting by conducting a survey for the students. We also proposed the improvements based on the results of analyzing the realities of the accounting educations. The improvements are followings. First, the accounting education should be educated through various ways. Second, curriculum fitted to the high school students level should be developed. Third, subjects related with accounting should be improved by considering efficiency.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze information about food and nutrition presented through the television broadcast media, with the aim of finding out the optimal communication method for supplying the general public with accurate information. To perform this study, a total of sixteen monitoring people were recruited and trained before and during the study. Five domestic TV channels were selected to be monitored, and the total monitoring period was six months. For maximum efficiency, the monitoring people were assigned to 8 teams. The results of the present study can be summarized as follows : First, the total reported cases of information about food and nutrition were 237, of which about 30% were judged appropriate and 70% as inappropriate. Second, classifying each case by program type, information programs made up the highest portion at 82 cases (34.6%), cooking programs accounted for 76 cases (32.1%), news programs for 40 cases (16.9%), and entertainment programs for 7 cases (3.0%). The analysis showed that the greatest amount of incorrect information was found in dramas, followed by entertainment, information, cooking and news programs. Third, classifying each case by theme of contents monitored, meal preparation and cookery made up the highest portion at 86 cases (36.3%), foods accounted for 67 cases (28.3%), disease and diet-therapy for 40 cases (16.9%), eating habits for 31 cases (13.1%), and diet and fitness for 13 cases (5.5%). Incorrect information was conveyed most often on the themes of food habits, foods, disease and diet-therapy, cookery, and diet and fitness. Fourth, classifying each case by channel, Cable TV had the highest frequency at 72 cases (30.4%), MBC had 51 cases (21.5%), SBS had 43 cases (18.1%), KBS1 had 41 cases (17.3%) and KBS2 had 30 cases (12.7%). In conclusion, systematic monitoring should be continued to reduce the frequency of incorrect information being broadcast and to help ensure that accurate information is conveyed to the general public. Moreover, there should be a system of cooperation to provide information to help broadcast production teams establish a strategic program. Finally, it is essential to organize an advisory team by promoting links between the mass media and specialists in the field, and to develop an educational program on nutrition to help ensure the communication of accurate information on food and nutrition. • This study was conducted to analyze the subjective perception types of college students majoring in cooking by applying flip-learning teaching and learning methods to the subject of cooking practice to improve the educational efficiency of cooking-related classes. Also, in order to study subjective perception of small students, we tried to grasp the common structure in subjective attitude and perception using Q methodology, and the analysis resulted in four types. Type 1 (N=5): Problem solving ability effect, Type 2 (N=6): Self-directed learning effect, Type 3 (N=3): Mutual cooperation practice effect, Type 4 (N=6) ): Theory learning effect was analyzed for each unique feature type. Flip-learning is applied to cooking practice classes, which is a learner-centered education that leaves the traditional teaching method. Interest was found to have a very positive effect on learners' opinion sharing and learning outcomes. However, it was revealed that all students need to find additional solutions to problems such as the operation plan for flipped learning and the free ride evaluation method in group learning.

  • In this paper, a new viewpoint and practical education method were presented on educational culture related to today's religions and media. For this purpose, this paper considered the theories of religious media pedagogic and the concept of symbo1ic didactics relating to religious symbols in popular culture. In this paper, a total of eight cases of applying symbolic didactics were developed using the example of "The Da Vinci Code", based on the theoretical framework of religious media education and symbolic didactics. For this, the education methods and contents of religious media education were integrated with the teaching plan model of "action and development oriented media education". In order for this education to be applied effectively, experimental studies have to be carried out verifying the learning effects regarding this education. In particular, education for teachers who will tarry out this education is needed. This is because, in media education, the efficiency of education is significantly affected by the capacity of the one who is teaching.

  • To improve the effectiveness and efficiency of public health personnel training, we evaluated not only how appropriate the students felt the objectives, contents, methods and multimedia used in the train ing courses, but also how much the students accomplished the objectives and applied skill and knowledge to their own works. We selected 5 courses for the study : Tuberculosis control, Radiological technique, Public health information, Immunization, Mental health management courses used by Kirkpatrick's evaluation model. Reaction evaluation was carried out in final day by questionnaire. The results showed that all of them were very satisfied with educational input and curricula, learn Ing environment. Secondly, we measured the degree of learning achievement on pre and post training by questionaire of specific behavioral objectives. The degree of learning achievement was statistically higher just after training than pre training (paired t-test, p<0.01). Thirdly, evaluation of behavioral change to job was conducted to find out how much students applied skill and knowledge to their own job in 3 months after training by questionnaire. The results of behavioral change evaluation showed that 43.5% of the students who were performing job related with the training courses in 3 months after training applied the learned skill and knowledge to their own job quite well and 37.8% of them applied relatively well, therefore total 81.4% of them applied to their own job. And effectiveness of training for the above mentioned students showed that 41.9 % of them had improved or enforced their jobs after training, 35.5% of them had had no remarkable changes, and 15.7% had newly applied the learned skill and knowledge to their jobs. For evaluating the degree of usefulness of material predistribution in two weeks before training, we compared experimental groups with control groups. The results showed that general reactions are helpful but the degree of learning achievement is no discrepancy.
