Safety education should not only prevent workers from industrial accidents but also contribute to improve the productivity of manufacturing plants or construction sites. In practice this do not happen because workers do not realize the importance of safety education. This study aims to suggest a methodology to improve safety education of construction sites by surveying conditions of safety education and the safety consciousness of workers and engineers. The results showed that most education except regular educations were nominally carried out. Lectures and audio-visual education were mainly used as educational methods. After trainees attended the education session they completed a written survey, the most dissatisfied factor about safety education was education circumstances, of which rate was around 36%. The proportion of construction engineers who thought that safety management was contributable to cost reduction was 35%, to construction period 20%, and to quality enhancement 48%. Based on these results, this research pointed out the need to review training manuals, the development of educational programs, improvement of educational facilities to improve safety education of construction sites, and finally to discussed these issues.

In this paper, we developed the fuzzy group method data handling-type (GMDH) Model and applied it to demand forecasting of educational expenses. At present, GMDH family of modeling algorithms discovers the structure of empirical models and it gives only the way to get the most accurate identification and demand forecasts in case of noised and short input sampling. In distinction to fuzzy system, the results are explicit mathematical models, obtained in a relative short time. In this paper, an adaptive learning network is proposed as a kind of fuzzy GMDH. The proposed method can be reinterpreted as a multi-stage fuzzy decision rule which is called as the fuzzy GMDH. The fuzzy GMDH-type networks have several advantages compared with conventional multi-layered GMDH models. Therefore, many types of nonlinear systems can be automatically modeled by using the fuzzy GMDH. A computer program is developed and successful applications are shown in the field of demand forecasting problem of educational expenses with the number of factors considered.

In this research, the bidirectional-communication-media-system which is not able to implement by using the existing coaxial cable was manufactured and the method applicable to Educational Environment was proposed. Also, it is implemented that we can use various media contents through narrow bandwidth by network-linking. The unified broadcasting system applicable to Educational Environment based on IPTV was implemented in the last.

This article presents the development and application of educational programs at Chungnam National University(CNU). College of engineering in CNU developed the engineering education program, CNU Engineering Fair, in 2009, and it is annually holding in September or October. The purposes of the fair are to show superiority of the college of engineering students of CNU, to strengthen the industry-university cooperation and to motivate students to lead their engineering interests. As a result of the fair, the opportunity to understand the college of engineering has been increased for students in the college of engineering as well as the public. As the development of human resources has been concerned, it gives us a chance for individual development and career development. Finally, the fair causes interests in engineering to high school students.

This study considers the experiment of Inhelder and Piaget(1963) in various aspects, and reveals the characteristics of the 'the formation of a critical mind', 'the transformation into the research question', 'the translation into the experiment', and 'the interpretation of the result of the experiment' in Piaget's genetic epistemology. According to these analyses, this study discusses the educational implications that the results of the Piaget's experiment support the education which raises the student's awareness.

This research is based on the concept that environmentally sustainable school design itself can raise the awareness of environmental issues related with sustainability for the students in early school days. Firstly, 7th educational curriculum is analyzed in terms of environmental education and the possibility for the spatial translation is reviewed. Secondly, potential items appropriate for physical facilities are extracted. Lastly design guidelines, which covers four different categories such as school yard, energy, water and waste are provided not only for the environmental education but also for the energy efficiency and resource conservation of the facility itself.

The purpose of this research is to know the teachers and parents' perception on the National Assessment of Educational Achievement system that has been conducted since 2008 and to obtain the implementation on the National Assessment of Educational Achievement. For this purpose, total of 1,000 questionnaires were distributed to 500 elementary school teachers and 500 parents in Busan, and 766 of the analysis of survey results follows excluding the retrieved and insincerity responses. First, the national assessment showed negative perception from the teachers, whereas the parents were generally positive and the method to reduce the gap of perception is needed. Second, it has to be improved after collecting opinions of a teacher and parents of students for improvement on the National Assessment of Education Achievement and reviewing enough the potential problems in the context of education in Korea and school.

The purpose of this study is to suggest improvement plans of school green building certification system in the concept of the Green Building Index by comparing items of domestic system with those of foreign system. School is a public facility for students. So Green Building Certification System for School must have educational point of view adding to energy saving, reduction of greenhouse gas emission, etc. Also school is forming a large part with the apartment house in the green building certification system. So we need to manage the green building certification system for school to meet carbon reduction policy.

In order to satisfy the requirements of cultivation of talents required by the new age, Chinese primary schools have carried out reform of quality education but are still in the elementary stage of reform such as educational management, teaching approaches and so on. On the contrary, the reform of school facilities which should adapt to the thought of quality education has been not carried out yet. Therefore, under such an circumstance, this paper makes an analysis of development process, current design situation and current distribution status of facilities of primary school sand the merger of primary schools due to decrease of birth rate and urbanization and its reasons and reveals the status quo of facilities of Chinese primary schools, expecting to provide reference for the future transformation and design of school facilities and recycle of abandoned schools.

This study focuses on the criteria for lessons that develop secondary students' creativity and character in mathematics classes. Literature used in this study is related to the future direction of education (e.g., Core competencies, Information and Communication Technology, Constructivism education) and intent of the revised mathematics curriculum. Lesson criteria for developing students' creativity and character include educational content associated with the real-world contexts, use of tools and resources, active participation and interaction, problem-solving skills, teachers' attitudes, and the classroom environment. This study suggests ways to implement mathematics lessons that build students' creativity and character.
