The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of metastrategic exercise on a scientific reasoning strategy to control variables, and investigate the developmental patterns in the strategy usage within a given period. Two groups composed of 90 fifth grade students engaged in a scientific reasoning task over six daily sessions. Additionally, one group engaged in metastrategic exercise on fictional students' strategies of controlling variables on the task, while the other spent equivalent time on an unrelated task. Based upon results of the study, the following conclusions can be drawn. First, the metacognitive exercise on the strategy to control variables has positive and long-standing effects on the strategy performance at the reasoning task. The exercise also takes effect of near-transfer. Taking into consideration only about sixty minutes of metastrategic practice, the results provide the validity of the activity in order to develop children's reasoning strategies. Second, in a scientific reasoning task, each child seems to go through one out of two developmental patterns in their usage of reasoning strategies: gradual change or fundamental change. Considering the ratio of pattern of fundamental change between the two groups, it is clear that the metacognitive exercise influences the developmental pattern of strategy usage.

The purpose of this study is to identify the theory of inquiry and to suggest an example of teaching/learning strategy through inquiry for effective environmental education. This study was based on the review of literature in the area of background of inquiry, inquiry in school subjects-social science, science, and environment and activities for inquiry. The teaching/learning strategy which was developed in this study included several inquiry activities focusing on recent social issue. And it can be used in environmental class.

Purpose: This study was attempted and completed in order to settle down and qualitatively improve web-based nursing education by evaluating effect and managing strategy of tutor. Method: The development of tutor's managing strategy was based on "The Self-regulated Learning" and "The supportive Learning", then it was applied to 79 learners in one of the cyber-learning centers. After applying the tutor's managing strategy, self-regulated learning scale, attitude for school, preference for computer and academic achievement were evaluated. The development of tutor's managing strategy for web-based nursing education are consisted of participation promotion, psychological support and motivation, recognition and promotion strategy of learning activity, management strategy of evaluating stage. Result: The levels of learner's self-regulated learning, recognition, behavior, attitude on the school and learning achievement were meaningfully increased in statistics after applying for the managing strategy of tutor. The motivation level and learning participation kept high scores from the beginning with no significant statistical changes. Conclusion: It is required to develop an educational program for cultivating well-educated tutors in order to help the effective learning process of nurses based on understanding characteristics of learners.

The purpose of this study was to develop of learning strategy scale for college students. This study further classified several sub-areas and defined each concepts of learning strategy. Based upon the classification of each sub-areas, tentative test items were developed through the verification of validity by three professionals. A pilot study of the developed scale was administered to 239 college students. And the research collected major data from 1,012 college students. Data were analyzed to obtain item quality, reliability, and validity analysis. The results of this study were as follows. The scale for learning strategy was defined by eight factors and they were 'self-management strategy', 'examination-readiness strategy', 'cognitive strategy', 'memorizing strategy', 'reporting strategy', 'resource-utilization strategy', 'self-regulated strategy', 'cooperative learning strategy'. The results of the confirmatory factor analysis proved the eight factors in the learning strategy. And criterion validity evidence was also obtained from a correlation analysis of the level of academic achievement.

본 연구는 미래 사회에서 개인의 독서활동이 어떠한 방향으로 나아가야 할 것인가에 대한 방향을 제시하고, 매체 환경의 변화에 대한 적극적인 대응법으로 효과적인 독서 생활을 위한 정보 독해능력과 웹 3.0 개념의 이해와 특성을 바탕으로 한 "웹 기반 독서전략 모형"을 개발하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구에서는 웹 플랫폼을 기반으로 한 6개의 독서전략 모형을 개발하였다. 이 6개의 독서전략은, 초인지 전략, 정보검색전략, 개인화 전략, 읽기 전략, 쓰기 전략, 그리고 해석 전략이다.

본 연구는 스마트 블렌디드 수업 전략이 역사수업에서 어떤 효과가 나타나는지에 대한 분석을 하였다. 수업전략의 효과성은 학업 성취도와 학습 흥미도로 설정하고 역사수업에 참가한 초등학생들을 대상으로 제안된 스마트 블렌디드 수업전략을 적용하여 비교집단과 비교하였다. t-검증 결과, 제안된 수업전략이 학생들의 학업성취도 및 학습흥미도에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 또한 질적 분석을 통하여 학생들이 수업의 이해도가 높아졌고 집중력이 향상되는 효과를 보여주었다.

Objective: In this study, we tried to verify the effects of program by constructing an effective maker education program that can cultivate the maker's capabilities through voluntary production activities by utilizing various technologies and tools. Methods: First, prior research on maker education and the station teaching strategy was considered, and interviews and surveys were conducted on prospective early childhood teachers in order to find out the degree of demand for maker education. The final program was finalized through verification of the contents validity. Results: The developed program was applied to a total of 49 prospective early childhood teachers (24 in the experimental group, 25 in the comparative group) attending U College, and it was found to be effective in enhancing convergence talent, education knowledge of early childhood teachers' technology, and self-directed learning skills. Conclusion/Implications: These findings show that the preliminary early childhood teacher maker education program using station teaching strategy has educational value that can be used as an effective teaching method in early childhood education.

This paper aims to analyze China's political education, which plays a role of vehicle in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) promoting its ideological strategy, in order to figure out the utility of the CCP's ideological strategy. After Reform and Opening Up, the CCP rebuilt and reinforced political education in China according to its ideological strategy. Especially after the Tiananmen incident in 1989, the CCP made nationalism and patriotism as the core part of political education, and expanded its curriculum. Such reinforcement of political education has a advantage in maintaining the CCP's governance by creating a nationalist consensus against the western ideas. Although it can be helpful for the stability of domestic politics, it also has negative possibilities which isolate China in the global community and obstruct China's development.

The purpose of this study was to develop instructional strategy for newspaper-based science writing and to examine the effect of its application. The target unit was 'change of weather' and 'a variety of gas' in the sixth grade of elementary school, and the teaching strategy was composed of 3 stages-writing including realistic, interpretative and comprehensive writing. The result of applying this strategy into actual classrooms was as follows. First, it was proven that the science writing strategy using newspaper articles actually helped improving science process skills of learners, in particular, integrated process skills. Second, this strategy for science writing changed the scientific attitude of learners positively. While they read the newspaper articles, their thinking became more elaborate and systemized, which seemed to serve to foster their openness, criticism, and perseverance. Third, the science writing strategy did not contribute to the improvement of learners' science study achievement. To improve the understanding of scientific concepts and principles of learners, it is needed that teaching program combines with argument-based activity organically. The above-mentioned findings show that this instructional strategy using newspaper articles can be applicable as one of effective methods in science writing.

본 연구에서는 SW교육에서 Computational Thinking의 향상을 위한 놀이활동 중심의 UMC(Use-Modify-Create) 전략을 개발하였다. UMC 수업 전략은 학생들이 예제 알고리즘을 분석하고 이를 수정, 확장하여 새로운 SW를 개발하는 모형이다. 먼저 예비교사를 대상으로 1학기 동안 UMC 수업을 적용하였다. UMC전략에 대한 학생들의 self-CT 향상에 대한 t-검사 결과, UMC 수업전략이 CT개념과 실습능력에 도움을 주었다. 또한 Modify 단계와 직접교수식 단계보다 Use단계와 Create 단계의 탐색과 자기주도적 개발과정이 CT능력 향상에 도움을 주고 있음을 알 수 있었다.
