The objective of this study was to follow up changes in knowledge related to the mathematics education field work of preliminary early childhood teachers. The subjects of this research were 28 students who were taking mathematics education courses in early childhood education departments at various universities. This research ran for 15 weeks and was conducted through field work relating to mathematics education. The study collected data from pre-service teachers' knowledge, the diagram of concept, writing journals, interviews, and materials from the internet. Through this procedure, pre-service teachers' knowledge for mathematics education could later be expanded, ordered, and integrated. In addition, pre-service teachers not only understood the importance of contents and levels of lesson plans, but also learned how to utilize educational media to make effective lessons. Furthermore, pre-service teachers realized that the mathematical concepts of students could be expanded depending on the contents and methods of pre-service teachers' lesson plans and students could then apply these concepts into daily situations.
The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of inner resilience and external resilience on the relationship between the job stress of early childhood education teachers and their teaching flow. Data were collected through questionnaires from 221 early childhood Korean teachers in the InCheon area. The instruments used in this study were the Kindergarten Teachers' Job Stress Scale, Early Childhood Teachers' Resilience Scale, and Teaching Flow Scale. The data were analyzed by Pearson's correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and Baron and Kenny's method. It was adapted to SPSS ver. 18.0 for Windows. This study followed a mediated effect model. First, there was a negative correlation between the job stress and teaching flow. There was a positive correlation between the teaching flow and the resilience. Secondly, there was a negative correlation with job stress and teaching flow in path model 1. In path model 2, there was a positive correlation with resilience and teaching flow. Teaching flow was statistically and significantly influenced by resilience. Thirdly, there was the mediating effect of inner resilience and external resilience on the relationship between the job stress of early childhood education teachers and their teaching flow. These results can be used as the basic data for the improvement of early childhood education teachers' teaching flow in the future.

Objective: This study aims to investigate early childhood teachers' perception of STEAM and suggest activation measures for STEAM according to teachers' background variables. Methods: The researchers conducted a pilot study, and then did survey research for 5 weeks. The participants of this study included 523 teachers of early childhood education institutions in Gwangju metropolitan city and Jeollanam-do Province. Results: The results of this study were as follows. First, early childhood teachers perceived the necessity of STEAM differently according to their age, experience, and academic background. The higher their age, experience, and academic background were, the more they wanted to participate in further teacher training and education. In particular, early childhood teachers' perception and activation measures were very different according to their workplace. These results come from the fact that the conditions in conducting STEAM are different according to their workplace. Conclusion/Implications: In order to activate STEAM, a teacher training program including practical contents and methods should be conducted. Also, it is necessary to carefully organize the content and structure of the teacher training program according to their workplace. This study is meaningful in terms of suggesting activation measures for STEAM by showing how early childhood teachers think about STEAM and what they demand.
