The properties of concrete damaged by fire change according to the temperature. Diffusion coefficient of chloride ion also can change which affect the life expectation under salt circumstance. Diffusion coefficient was measured by NT BUILD 492 using the concrete specimen damaged by high temperature. FEM analysis was performed to predict the life expectancy which can help to diagnose the concrete diagnose and to design maintenance strategy.

(R,S)- and (R)-2-Benzylcysteine (1) and (R,S)-2-phenethylcysteine (2) were synthesized and evaluated as inhibitors for carboxypeptidase A (CPA) with the expectation that these compounds exhibit improved inhibitory activities over 2-benzyl-3-mercaptopropanoic acid (BMPA), a potent CPA competitive inhibitor, possibly having additional interactions of their amino group with the carboxylate of Glu-270 of the enzyme upon binding to CPA. Contrary to the expectation, however, the CPA inhibitory potencies of these compounds were found to be much reduced compared with that of BMPA, suggesting that the amino group in the inhibitors rather exerts steric hindrance in binding of these inhibitors to CPA.

This paper proposes a new approach for calculating frequency and duration by using the moment matching technique. Two separate expressions are derived, one for the loss of load expectation(LOLE) and the other for the loss of load frequency(LOLF). These expressions are combination of exponentials and are therefore easily integrable and can be readily evaluated. The proposed approach is quite comparable of with the other methods at the aspect of accuracy and efficiency.

This paper describes a method of lifetime expectation for the dry-type molded transformer which is widely used in the domestic distribution system. And the result of the temperature accelerated aging test for the winding insulation and the analyzed report on the reliability are included in this study.

This study investigated the influence factors of retirement expectations among medical technologists at medical centers in Seoul and Gyeonggi area, Korea. Subjects were 158 medical technologists. Using a sampling survey method, data was analyzed between July 2015 and December 2016. There was a negative correlation between educational level and economic preparation, but gender and monthly income did not reach retirement expectation level. Conversely, we found no change in the trends with respect to gender, monthly income; nonetheless, we observed that frustration gradually increased with age and working duration. In conclusion, our findings show that there are four factors that significantly influence retirement expectation and preparation: age, level of education, working duration, and family condition. This study contributes to understanding retirement expectations and can be a reference for retirement preparation in medical technologists.

Purpose: This study examines how police's level of satisfaction over work environment influences on introduction of municipal police system and the purpose of this study is to examine the individual police's opinion by exploring the work satisfaction of police under current centralized police system and their level of expectation toward introduction of municipal police system. Method: To complete the research, this study used the survey data from in-service police and analyzed it based on regression analysis. Result: This study analyzed the influence of police's job satisfaction on expectation over introduction of municipal police system by dividing the police's job satisfaction into internal and external satisfaction. In the influence of police's job satisfaction on expectation toward physical environmental change, both internal and external satisfaction had significant negative influence. Conclusion: Thus, there should be a clear organization on municipal police and related items before introducing the system to gain trust from police.

Purpose: This study was undertaken in order to suggest self-leadership as a way to promote organization efficiency of nursing organization. So the relation between self-leadership and outcome of nursing practice in organization was studied. Method: The subjects of study were nurses as a population who were working for the 2 of university hospitals which have over 500 beds in Kyong Ki Province as well as who have been working for over 6 months. The data was collected by questionnaires from 215 nurses and analyzed using descriptive statistics, perason correlation coefficient, t-test and ANOVA on SAS Program. Results: Self-leadership of nurse got 3.51 grade out of 5 as a mean point. Each of the segments got 3.74 in self-compensation, 3.57 in self-expectation, 3.53 in goal-setting, 3.45 in rehearsal, 3.37 in self-criticism and 3.30 in constructive thinking in order. Independent performance of nursing practice at each items of outcome of nursing practice showed the highest correlations with the self-expectation among self-leadership segments. Constructive thinking, self-compensation, rehearsal, goal-setting were related like this in order, but self-criticism was related just a little. Dependent nursing practice has the highest correlation with the self-expectation, goal-setting, rehearsal, constructive thinking, self-compensation were similar as aboves in order, but self-criticism didn't show any similar correlations. Relationship practice has the highest correlation with the self-expectation, and goal-setting, constructive thinking, self-compensation, rehearsal were similar, while self-criticism did not show any correlations. Conclusion: In conclusion the result was obtained that self-leadership is much correlated with outcome of nursing practice. Therefore, as a way to promote efficiency of nursing organization, the constant study about self-leadership with the various aspects is needed focusing on self-management and inner motivation as a new leadership paradigm.

In this paper we propose a new method for choosing the initial values of Expectation-Maximization(EM) algorithm that has been used in various applications for clustering. Conventionally, the initial values were chosen randomly, which sometimes yields undesired local convergence. Later, K-means clustering method was employed to choose better initial values, which is currently widely used. However the method using K-means still has the same problem of converging to local points. In order to resolve this problem, a new method of initializing values for the EM process. The proposed method not only strengthens the characteristics of EM such that the number of iteration is reduced in great amount but also removes the possibility of falling into local convergence.
