In order to improve total competitive advantages in domestic shipbuilding industry, shipyards as well as marine-parts companies achieve managerial efficiency through ERP system. But, successful ERP system implementation cases of marine-parts companies are seldom reported by characteristics of small and build-to-order industry. Therefore, this study attempts to analyze a case for ERP system implementation in marin-parts company, K Inc. Especially, this study divides ERP system implementation process into preparation stage, implement stage and settle-down and stabilization stage, and then derives critical success factors in each stage. At present, the implemented ERP system is successfully operating, ERP system improve qualitative and quantitative performance. The result of study suggests some practical implications to the manager of marine-parts companies and the manager of Informatization Programs for Small and Medium Enterprises.

In the modern business environment, ERP System is a tool for efficient use of the resources of the company. Implementation of the ERP System is not a simple introduction of the unit system. The changes and innovation of the company will be made through the BPR. And then, the BPR is made based on the system design and implementation. Cultural difference creates a difference in the attitudes and relationships of members of company. and, Cultural difference produce differences in organizational culture and operating principles. Cultural differences can mention the differences in the cultures of East and West, and can mention the difference between each country within the same culture. In the paper, we determine the impact of cultural differences on the implementation of the ERP System. Cultural differences affect the implementation process and the decision-making process, user interface.

To achieve this study, this study divide success factors of ERP implementation into organizational, environmental and information and group system information characteristics into form, content, source and supply frequency of information and is to verify an effect of two factors on system performance(user satisfaction). After selecting 250 SMBs in sample, this study use 79 questionaires for analysis. And all SMBs which was sampled in this study are manufacturing companies and don't consider respondent's position. The results of this study are as follows. First, there is a positive effect of a fit between organizational factors and system information characteristics on system performance. Second, there is a positive effect of a fit between environmental factors and system information characteristics on system performance. and third, there is positive effect of a fit between information factors and system information characteristics on system performance.

The purpose of this paper is to give information on e-CPC implementation in the manufacturing industry by studying and analyzing a small and medium sized manufacturing company. After analyzing Various factors on J's e-CPC implementation such as environmental factors, process management factor, and result factors, success factors on J's e-CPC implementation are analyzed. The results of this paper can be summarized as follows. First, the most leading role on J's ERP implementation is the will and support of CEO and team leaders. They led the implementation to be stability successfully by settling the different opinions among teams, showing their ability on process decision and communication with consultants. Second, J tried to prompt system stability by mapping out and conducting the long term change management strategy. Third, J organized ERP project team to implement ERP quickly, and it turned out to be successful Finally, J tried to get outside information from consultants and collaborative companies that have experience in implementing ERP. Especially J made full use of overseas consultants. In respect that this paper giver lots of information on e-CPC implementation in manufacturing industry by a case study of a small and medium sized manufacturing company which has not been carried out so far, it would be useful enough.

A project planning is one of the most important processes that determines success and failure of the project. A pre-project planning is also essential job for information system implementations at the early stage of project planning, especially for management information system like ERP. However, pre-project planning is very difficult, because lots of factors and their relationships should be considered. Pre-project planning of ERP implementation has been done by project manager's own knowledge and experiences. In this article, we propose a system that help project manager to make a pre-project plan of ERP project with case-based reasoning(CBR) framework. The proposed CBR system saves previous cases of ERP pre-project planning in the case base. Then, the system finds the most similar case with the current pre-project planning problem. Project manager can make a pre-project plan by adjusting the most similar case. From the interview with project managers, we collect some field cases of ERP implementation. We organized these cases by using XML(Extensible Markup Language), which is good for representing hierarchical information. XML gives us some flexibilities to correct and maintain cases. We make a prototype system, PPSS(Project Planning Support System) that help project manager to make a pre-project plan of ERP implementations. The object of the system is to support project manager to make a pre-project plan of ERP. We hope the result of the study can be applied to other information systems. Our research would be extended to cover other stages of project planning.

ERP system is a very popular tool for pushing management innovation and implementing an integrated information system. The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship among the structure of production systems, types of implementation strategy, relative importance of competitive goals, information technology and culture level, and the efficiency from using the system. The data for this study were collected from 45 Korean manufacturing firms that have implemented ERP system. Research results confirm that the success factors include the top managements' strategic views and culture level related to new information technology. But the linkage between the structure of production systems and types of implementation strategy is proved to be very weak. Also control effect of types of implementation strategy on the efficiency of the organization is not strongly recognized. A summarized report of other findings is provided as well.

Our study focuses on empirical findings of the critical factors which influence the performance of ERP system in business. The study is mainly interested in examining the influence of the characteristics of late process of adopting ERP called "Go-Live" phase with the critical issues like customizing, transformational process of standardization, phased implementation, concurrent operation and use with the current systems on users' ERP satisfaction. The analyses of the data conducted thru moderated regression analysis and subgroup analysis. Using moderated regression analysis, we first examined the effect of moderator variables like customizing, process standardization, sequential use, concurrent use with the current systems. And then, using subgroup analysis is to verify directions of the moderator effects. Having knowledge on the characteristics of ERP Go-Live process can lead to success of ERP system in business. Our results can be beneficial to those organizations who want to adopt and maintain ERP system effectively.

Recently, the Korean Hotel market has expanded to Asia rapidly including China. However Korean hotels' competitiveness has weaken with Korean won's appreciation and increasing real estate cost. To cope with these problems, Korean hotels are varying and differentiating their services and adopting advanced information system such as ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) System. ERP Systems requires large amount of cost and time, otherwise successful implementation is not guaranteed. Thus, It is necessary to analyze critical success factors and calculate effect before investment on the ERP system implementation. In this study, I surveyed a Five-star ranked Hotel, named R. To find a method of investment effect calculation. This research is conducted on the basis of previous studies and AHP(analytic hierarchical process), which is suggested by Saaty. Finally, This study presents a significant method of analysis and calculation on investment effect of Hotel's ERP system based on the Hotel R's case.
