SOLAS를 이용한 결측자료의 다중대치법

  • 불완전 데이터 즉, 결측값을 가지는 데이터를 분석할 경우 결측데이터에 대해서 어떠한 처리를 해야할 필요가 있다. 결측데이터에 대한 처리로서 주로 이용되어온 방법으로는 결측값을 포함한 관측값(case)을 제외하는 방법이었다. 이후 여러 방법들이 제안되어 EM알고리즘이나 회귀알고리즘에 의한 추정을 바탕으로 결측값에 대한 추정을 해서 그 추정값으로 결측값을 대치하는 방법을 사용할 수 있게되었다. 본 논문에서는 복수 개의 데이터세트를 생성해서 대치하는 다중대입 소프트인 SOLAS를 소개한다.

Development of a Seismic Measurement System with a reference for the Reduction of Artificial Noise (인공잡음 제거를 위한 기준점 이용 탄성파 측정시스템 개발)

  • A proto-type seismic measurement system with a reference was developed to improve S/N (signal-to-noise ratio) of seismic data, especially in noisy urban areas. Two pairs of correlation measurements (the one for microphone and geophone, and another for electromagnetic (EM) loop and geophone) were carried out near Kimpo Airport and at Kimje. The spectrum analyses were also performed to investigate the correlation of two pairs of time series; one for microphone and geophone, and another for EM loop and geophone. The sound waves measured with the microphone and the geophone are highly correlated. However, differences in the reponses are readily identifiable across 200 Hz; in the vicinity of 100 Hz, the spectral energy for geophone is 20 dB higher than that for microphone, and at near 500 Hz, the spectral energy for microphone is 30 dB higher than that for geophone. Overall, the spectral energy appears concentrated on the frequency window below 600 Hz for geophone. It contrasts with the observation of dominant frequency at the range of above 200 Hz for microphone. The wave forms of EM noise (due to an ACDC inverter) measured with EM loop and geophone are consistently and highly correlated each other. The power spectrum of the EM noise for EM loop shows that the spectral energies at odd harmonic frequencies of 60 Hz are higher than those at even harmonic frequencies of 60 Hz. It is compared to the power spectrum for geophone; the spectral energies at odd harmonics are nearly same as those at even harmonic frequencies.

  • 한국전력거래소에서 운영중인 EMS(Energy Management System)와 MOS(Market Operation System) 설비는 각각 Alstom사와 ABB사에 의해 우리나라의 전력계통 특성에 맞게 제작되어 공급된 전력계통과 전력시장의 운영을 자동화한 시스템이다. EMS는 전력계통 감시와 효율적인 운영을 위해 전력계통을 모델링한 데이터를 활용하며, MOS는 실시간 급전계획 수립을 위한 기반자료로 전력계통을 모델링한 데이터를 사용하게 된다. 그러나, 대한민국 전력산업의 핵심인 두 시스템은 시스템 설계 방식 및 DB 구조가 상이하여 전력계통의 신.증설 및 변경 시 동일한 데이터를 양 시스템에 각각 따로 구축, 운영해야하는 실정이다. 이에 따라 DB작업을 위한 자료 준비부터 입력, 수정, 검증 등 모든 과정에 중복된 관리가 이루어지고 있다. 중복 관리는 양 시스템 간 DB의 주요 데이터 특성 및 명칭이 상이하여 일률적인 관리가 어렵고, 시스템별 특성 및 운영노하우가 없이는 인적실수에 의한 입력오류 개연성이 폭넓게 존재하는 등 현 상황에서 피할 수 없는 현실이었다. EMS와 MOS 시스템 중 최소한 개의 시스템을 전면 재구축하지 않으면 해결되지 않을 본 문제를 해소하기 위하여 전력거래소는 특정 시스템에 구축된 데이터를 변환알고리즘을 통해 나머지 하나의 시스템에 자동 구축할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하여 활용하고자 한다. 이것이 바로 EMS에 입력되어 정확성이 검증된 계통데이터를 추출하여 MOS의 데이터 형식으로 변환하고, 변환된 데이터를 MOS시스템에 자동으로 입력할 수 있는 MOS/EMS 데이터 자동변환시스템이다.

Prevalence of Streptococci in arthritic piglets and healthy sows with reference to antibiotic resistance of isolates (관절염 이환자돈과 건강한 모돈으로부터 분리한 Streptococci의 균종 및 항균제 내성)

  • In order to establish the extent of Streptococcal arthritis piglets, isolation of Streptococci from arthritic lesions of 34 piglets were undertaken from November 1987 to October 1988 in Korea. Also determined were isolation frequency of Streptococci in nasal cavity of 250 healthy sows and antibiotic susceptibilities of the isolates. Streptococci were isolated from 52.9% of 34 arthritic piglets and 20 strains isolated belonged to 4 S suis type I, 8 S suis type II, 2 Lancefield group C and 6 group E. From 28.8% of 250 healthy sows, 72 strains of Streptococci were isolated and these consisted of 9 S suis type I, 51 S suis type II and 12 group C. Streptococcal arthritis seemed to occur prominently in piglets aged 2 to 4 weeks and in male than female. No significant difference were recognized in tarsal and carpal joints as affecting site. All of 92 isolates were sensitive to ampicillin and penicillin, and all strains of S suis type I and group E Streptococcus were also sensitive to chloramphenicol and cephalothin. To cephalothin all strains of group C Streptococcus were sensitive. The 1. 7 to 100% of 92 isolates were resistant with different prevalence to colistin, erythromycin, kanamycin, tetracycline, gentamicin, chloramphenicol and cephalothin. The 92.5% of these resistant Streptococci were multiply drug-resistant strains. The drug resistant patterns most frequently encountered were Tc Cl Em Km Gm(16.3%) in quintuple pattern, Tc Cl Em Km(16.3%) in quadruple pattern, Tc Cl Em(10.9%) in triple pattern and Cl Em(14.1%) in double pattern.

A Study on GPU-based Iterative ML-EM Reconstruction Algorithm for Emission Computed Tomographic Imaging Systems (방출단층촬영 시스템을 위한 GPU 기반 반복적 기댓값 최대화 재구성 알고리즘 연구)

  • Purpose: The maximum likelihood-expectation maximization (ML-EM) is the statistical reconstruction algorithm derived from probabilistic model of the emission and detection processes. Although the ML-EM has many advantages in accuracy and utility, the use of the ML-EM is limited due to the computational burden of iterating processing on a CPU (central processing unit). In this study, we developed a parallel computing technique on GPU (graphic processing unit) for ML-EM algorithm. Materials and Methods: Using Geforce 9800 GTX+ graphic card and CUDA (compute unified device architecture) the projection and backprojection in ML-EM algorithm were parallelized by NVIDIA's technology. The time delay on computations for projection, errors between measured and estimated data and backprojection in an iteration were measured. Total time included the latency in data transmission between RAM and GPU memory. Results: The total computation time of the CPU- and GPU-based ML-EM with 32 iterations were 3.83 and 0.26 see, respectively. In this case, the computing speed was improved about 15 times on GPU. When the number of iterations increased into 1024, the CPU- and GPU-based computing took totally 18 min and 8 see, respectively. The improvement was about 135 times and was caused by delay on CPU-based computing after certain iterations. On the other hand, the GPU-based computation provided very small variation on time delay per iteration due to use of shared memory. Conclusion: The GPU-based parallel computation for ML-EM improved significantly the computing speed and stability. The developed GPU-based ML-EM algorithm could be easily modified for some other imaging geometries.

  • As information technologies are rapidly developed recently, social networking services through a variety of mobile devices and smart screen is becoming popular. SNS is a social networking based services which is online forms from existed offline. SNS can also be used differently which is confused with the online community. A modelling algorithm is a variety of techniques, which are assocoation, clustering, neural networks, and decision trees, etc. By utilizing this technique, it is necessary to study to effectively using the large number of materials. In this paper, we evaluate in particular the performance of the algorithm based on the results of the clustering using Facebook Insights data for the EM algorithm to be evaluated as a good performance in clustering. Through this analysis it was based on the results of the application of the experimental data of the change and the South Australian state library according to the performance of the EM algorithm.

Table Question Answering based on Pre-trained Language Model using TAPAS (TAPAS를 이용한 사전학습 언어 모델 기반의 표 질의응답)

  • 표 질의응답은 반-정형화된 표 데이터에서 질문에 대한 답을 찾는 문제이다. 본 연구에서는 한국어 표 질의응답을 위한 표 데이터에 적합한 TAPAS를 이용한 언어모델 사전학습 방법과 표에서 정답이 있는 셀을 예측하고 선택된 셀에서 정확한 정답의 경계를 예측하기 위한 표 질의응답 모형을 제안한다. 표 사전학습을 위해서 약 10만 개의 표 데이터를 활용했으며, 텍스트 데이터에 사전학습된 BERT 모델을 이용하여 TAPAS를 사전학습한 모델이 가장 좋은 성능을 보였다. 기계독해 모델을 적용했을 때 EM 46.8%, F1 63.8%로 텍스트 텍스트에 사전학습된 모델로 파인튜닝한 것과 비교하여 EM 6.7%, F1 12.9% 향상된 것을 보였다. 표 질의응답 모델의 경우 TAPAS를 통해 생성된 임베딩을 이용하여 행과 열의 임베딩을 추출하고 TAPAS 임베딩, 행과 열의 임베딩을 결합하여 기계독해 모델을 적용했을 때 EM 63.6%, F1 76.0%의 성능을 보였다.

  • Layered-earth Green's functions in electormagnetic (EM) surveys play a key role in modeling the response of exploration targets. They are computed through the Hankel transforms of analytic kernels. Computational precision depends upon the choice of algebraically equivalent forms by which these kemels are expressed. Since three-dimensional (3D) modeling can require a huge number of Green's function evaluations, total computational time can be influenced by computational time for the Hankel transform evaluations. Linear digital filters have proven to be a fast and accurate method of computing these Hankel transforms. In EM modeling for 3D inversion, electric fields are generally evaluated by the secondary field formulation to avoid the singularity problem. In this study, three components of electric fields for five different sources on the surface of homogeneous half-space were derived as primary field solutions. Moreover, reflection coefficients in TE and TM modes were produced to calculate EM responses accurately for a two-layered model having a sea layer. Accurate primary fields should substantially improve accuracy and decrease computation times for Green's function-based problems like MT problems and marine EM surveys.

Characterization of a Psychrophilic Metagenome Esterase EM2L8 and Production of a Chiral Intermediate for Hyperlipemia Drug (메타게놈유래의 저온성 에스터라제 EM2L8의 효소적 특성과 이를 활용한 고지혈증 치료제 키랄소재의 생산)

  • Esterase EM2L8 gene isolated from deep sea sediment was expressed in Escherichia coli BL21 (DE3) and the esterase activity of the cell-free extract was assayed using p-nitrophenyl butyrate-spectrophotometric method. Its optimum temperature was $40-45^{\circ}C$ and 45% activity of the maximum activity was retained at $15^{\circ}C$. The activation energy at $15-45^{\circ}C$ was calculated to be 4.9 kcal/mol showing that esterase EM2L8 was a typical cold-adapted enzyme. Enzyme activity was maintained for 6 h and 4 weeks at $30^{\circ}C$ and $4^{\circ}C$, respectively. When each ethanol, methanol, and acetone was added to the reaction mixture to 15% concentration, enzyme activity was maintained. In the case of DMSO, enzyme activity was kept up to 40% concentration. (S)-4-Chloro-3-hydroxy butyric acid is a chiral intermediate for the synthesis of Atorvastatin, a hyperlipemia drug. When esterase EM2L8 (40 U) was added to buffer solution (1.2 mL, pH 9.0) containing ethyl-(R,S)-4-chloro-3-hydroxybutyrate (38 mM), it was hydrolyzed into 4-chloro-3-hydroxy butyric acid with a rate of $6.8\;{\mu}mole/h$. The enzyme hydrolyzed (S)-substrate more rapidly than (R)-substrate. When conversion yield was 80%, e.e.s value was 40%. When DMSO was added, hydrolysis rate increased to $10.4\;{\mu}mole/h$. The plots of conversion yield vs e.e.s in the presence or absence of DMSO were almost same, implying that the reaction enantioselectivity was not changed by the addition of DMSO. Taken together, esterase EM2L8 had high activity and stability at low temperatures as well as in various organic solvents/aqueous solutions. These properties suggested that it could be used as a biocatalyst in the synthesis of useful pharmaceuticals.

Isolation of an Arthrospira platensis Mutant Induced by Electron Beam Irradiation and its Characterization (전자빔 조사를 통해 유도된 Arthrospira platensis 변이주 분리 및 특성 분석)

  • Arthrospira platensis has high lipid and pigment (such as chlorophyll and carotenoid) contents and thus evaluated as an important resource in functional food production. The cell growth rate and pigment concentration of EM24 increased by approximately 1.2-fold than those of the wild-type strain (WT). Fluorescence intensity levels in EM24, which were quantified with a lipid triolein standard curve, also increased by approximately 1.5-fold than those in WT (62.9 mg/Lvs. 38.9 mg/L). The analysis of fatty acid profiles indicated that the gamma-linoleic acid level in EM24 increased by 1.5-fold than that in WT.
