발포스펀지 의자시트의 진동전달 특성 (Vibration transfer characteristic of foaming sponge chair seat)

  • Recently, in the movie theater, the special chair is installed to maximize the viewing effect of movies. It is structured to convey a vibrational stimulus to a specially-designated parts of human body by attaching a vibration transducer to a existing theater chair. This paper describes the analysis of the vibration transfer characteristic of a foaming sponge seat for the design of the special chair. We could not apply the structural analysis S/W because it is difficult to obtain the mechanical properties and damping coefficients of the various type sponges. And then we computed the transfer functions by the global curve fitting program based on experimental modal analysis. The experimental response results comparatively coincide with those by the global curve fitting program. We also could obtain the natural frequencies, the modal damping coefficient ratio, the modal vectors and the whole transfer functions. Therefore we could analyze the dynamic characteristic for design of foaming sponge seat.

  • 현대는 고령화시대에 진입하면서 노약자와 장애인의 이동권과 접근권이 문제로 대두되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 장애인이나 고령자를 보호하여 차량실내외로 이송할 시 대두되는 노고 경감과 쾌적성 확보는 장거리 여행시 발생되는 접근성과 함께 중요한 역할을 하는 전동 슬라이드엎시트를 제작하는 과정에서 발생되는 안전성과 편리성을 중심으로 기구부 및 전동부분의 특성을 분석하고자 한다. 동특성에는 승용차 뒤칸의 좁은 공간을 고려한 궤적분석을 통한 간섭점검을 통한 기구부의 안전도를 확보하고자 한다. 이 설계기술은 노약자 및 장애인의 이동권과 접근권을 향상시킬 수 있는 전동슬라이드엎시트의 대량생산체제를 확보하기 위한 중요한 기초자료가 됨으로써 동 제품의 안전도와 정밀도 품질보증 확보에 큰 기여를 하게 된다.

  • This paper presents a static and dynamic characteristics of the relief valve which is a kind of direct operated pressure control valve for hydrogen compressor. The valve is consisted of a main poppet, a spring, an adjuster and a valve body. The purpose of this study is development of the simulation model for relief valve by using commercial AMESlM$^{(R)}$ tool. Poppet with sharp edge seat type and ball poppet with sharp edge seat type compare for P-Q characteristic. The dynamic simulation results are presented the operating pressure characteristics of relief valve. High pressure power unit of which maximum pressure control range is 100MPa was manufactured, and the pressure control valve was experimented using the above-mentioned power unit. The new model of pressure control valve from this results was suggested. It was confirmed that the suggested valve has a good control performance from experimental setup.

Fragility characteristics of skewed concrete bridges accounting for ground motion directionality

  • To achieve this goal, two four-span concrete box-girder bridges with typical configurations of California highway bridges are selected as representative bridges: an integral abutment bridge and a seat-type abutment bridge. A detailed numerical model of the representative bridges is created in OpenSees to perform dynamic analyses. To examine the effect of earthquake incidence angle on the fragility of skewed bridges, the representative bridge models are modified with different skew angles. Dynamic analyses for all bridge models are performed for all earthquake incidence angles examined. Simulated results are used to develop demand models and component and system fragility curves for the skewed bridges. The fragility characteristics are compared with regard to earthquake incidence angle. The results suggest that the earthquake incidence angle more significantly affects the seismic demand and fragilities of the integral abutment bridge than the skewed abutment bridge. Finally, a recommendation to account for the randomness due to the ground motion directionality in the fragility assessment is made in the absence of the predetermined earthquake incidence angle.

한국인의 앉은 자세에 대한 동적 질량의 실험적 연구 (Experimental Investigation on the Characteristics of Dynamic Masses of Korean-Seated Postures)

  • This paper addresses experimental results carried out to investigate the characteristics of dynamic mass for Korean. Vertical seat vibration in the frequency range of 0.5-30 Hz was applied to a seated Korean male subject. To examine the intra-variable effects on dynamic mass, five different postures and three different vibration excitation levels were considered. The applied acceleration and transmitted force to the hip of the seated subject were measured simultaneously. Detailed experimental results of measured dynamic mass are illustrated for each posture and/or vibration excitation level. Maximum peaks of around 5 Hz were observed for most experimental cases. They are found to allow the identification of dynamic characteristics of Korean seated body for various real vibration environments. Furthermore, they are expected to be very useful in designing new seats for automotive and railway vehicles and in improving their vibration ride duality.

  • This paper presents a new concept of a semi-active suspension system for a commercial vehicle seat. The proposed suspension system features an ER(electro-rheological) damper which can produce continuously tunable damping forces by control electric fields. A dynamic model of the ER damper is first achieved by incorporating Bingham property of the ER fluid, followed by the formulation of governing equations of motion for the suspension system. A sliding mode controller is then designed on the basis of the hyper-plane sliding mode scheme. The effectiveness of the proposed control system is evaluated by investigating control performance for vibration isolation.

  • This study presents the development of a round recliner using the finite element method. That reduces the number of test repeating times and gives an information about stiffness. A simulation model of round recliner mounting seat module and tooth strength simulation are established using a PAM-CRASH and ABAQUS. With the optimization of gear profile, structural strength design of round recliner was achieved. The round recliner seat module simulation, structure strength simulation and a crash safety are requested by FMVSS test. Solution of round recliner optimum variable study and design problem are searched for round recliner stress, deformation and application. Also an examination of safety is made.

  • The hydraulic fuse, which responds to the suddenly increased flow on rupture of a line and shuts off the fluid flow, would prevent large spillage of liquid. The quick-acting hydraulic fuse, which is mainly composed of a poppet, a seat, and a spring, must be designed to minimize the leaked flow and to prevent high collision speed between the poppet and seat during fuse operation on a line rupture. The optimal design parameters of a quick-acting hydraulic fuse were searched using the genetic algorithm and the complex method that are kinds of constrained direct search methods. The dynamic behavior of a quick-acting hydraulic fuse was researched using computer simulations that applied the obtained optimal design parameters.

  • 자동차 시트 리크라이너는 시트 등받이의 각도를 조절하는 기능을 가지며, 시트의 안전성과 밀접한 영향이 있다. 따라서 리크라이너를 구성하는 각 부품들은 매우 중요하며, 이러한 부품들을 각종 동적 하중들로부터 보호할 수 있는 리크라이너 하우징 역시 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 고장력강판(SPFC 980)으로 제작된 t=3mm 리크라이너 하우징을 실제 차량 시트에 적용한다. 또한 내구 실험기를 통하여 변형량을 조사하였으며, 실험과 동일한 조건하에서 시뮬레이션 해석을 수행하여 변형량과 등가응력을 분석하였다. 실험값과 해석값을 토대로 하여 1mm 및 2mm 두께의 리크라이너들을 모델링 한 후 구조해석을 통하여 변형량 및 등가응력을 알아보았다.
