  • Due to the increasing number of malicious software (also known as malware), methods for sharing threat information are being studied by various organizations. The Malware Attribute Enumeration and Characterization (MAEC) format of malware is created by analysts, converted to Structured Threat Information Expression (STIX), and distributed by using Trusted Automated eXchange of Indicator Information (TAXII) protocol. Currently, when sharing malware analysis results, analysts have to manually input them into MAEC. Not many analysis results are shared publicly. In this paper, we propose an automated MAEC conversion technique for sharing analysis results of malicious Android applications. Upon continuous research and study of various static and dynamic analysis techniques of Android Applications, we developed a conversion tool by classifying parts that can be converted automatically through MAEC standard analysis, and parts that can be entered manually by analysts. Also using MAEC-to-STIX conversion, we have discovered that the MAEC file can be converted into STIX. Although other researches have been conducted on automatic conversion techniques of MAEC, they were limited to Windows and Linux only. In further verification of the conversion rate, we confirmed that analysts could improve the efficiency of analysis and establish a faster sharing system to cope with various Android malware using our proposed technique.

  • This paper describes the mathematical modeling, control algorithm, system design, hardware implementation and experimental test of a Manta-type Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (MUUV). The vehicle has one thruster for longitudinal propulsion, one rudder for heading angle control and two elevators for depth control. It is equipped with a pressure sensor for measuring water depth and Doppler Velocity Log for measuring position and angle. The vehicle is controlled by an on-board PC, which runs with the Windows XP operating system. The dynamic model of 6DOF is derived including the hydrodynamic forces and moments acting on the vehicle, while the hydrodynamic coefficients related to the forces and moments are obtained from experiments or estimated numerically. We also utilized the values obtained from PMM (Planar Motion Mechanism) tests found in the previous publications for numerical simulations. Various controllers such as PID, Sliding mode, Fuzzy and $H{\infty}$ are designed for depth and heading angle control in order to compare the performance of each controller based on simulation. In addition, experimental tests are carried out in a towing tank for depth keeping and heading angle tracking.

  • We developed a musical composition and performing method for the dynamic expression of food taste, to replace the static expression obtained from a numerical sensory score and linguistic method. The musical score was composed using cognitive food sensory data gathered while eating potato chips via a computer equipped with a sound card and a master keyboard, as well as Cakewalk 9.0, Goldwave 5.0, and Windows Media Player. The music score included four lines, one representing sensory data and three reflecting three layers of human consciousness. Different time units were applied by incorporating different repetition cycles for the relevant consciousness layers. The musical scores of individual subjects differed in terms of the score pattern and its sound. The music representing food taste was played by four instruments and showed different sound and acoustic frequency patterns for each individual subject during the consumption of potato chips. The musical expression method was applied to analyze the individual taste characteristics in the cognition of food.

  • Recently, as business problems become more complicated and require more precise quantitative results, large-scale model management systems are increasingly in demand for supporting the decision-making activities. In addition, as distributed computing over networks gains popularity, departmental computing systems are gradually adopted in an organization to facilitate collaboration of geographically dispersed multiple departments. In departmental collaborative model management systems, multiple departments share common models but approach them with different user-views depending on their departmental needs. Moreover, the shared models become evolved as their structures and the corresponding data sets change due to the dynamic nature of the operating environment and the inherent uncertainty associated with the problems. In such capacity, providing the multiple departmental users with synchronized and consistent views of the models is important to improve the overall productivity. In this paper, we propose a collaborative model management framework for coordinating model change and automatic user-view update in a departmental computing environment. To do so, we describes changes in the model and their effects occurred in departmental model management environments and identifies the constructs and processes for maintaining the consistency between a shared model and its departmental user-views. Especially, in this framework, generic model concept was adopted for accommodating diverse mathematical models in a uniform way in a modelbase and object-oriented database management systems(ODBMS) for combining the model management constructs and automatic user-view update mechanisms in a single formalism. A prototype object-oriented modeling environment was developed using an ODBMS called ObjectStore and $C^{++}$ programming language on Windows NT.

  • In this paper, a new korean digita speech recognition technique was proposed using muktolayer perceptron (MLP). In spite of its weakness in dynamic signal recognition, MLP was adapted for this model, cecause korean syllable could give static features. It is so simle in its structure and fast in its computing that MLP was used to the suggested system. MLP's input vectors was transformed using karhunen-loeve transformation (KLT), which compress signal successfully without losin gits separateness, but its physical properties is changed. Because the suggested technique could extract static features while it is not affected from the changes of syllable lengths, it is effectively useful for korean numeric recognition system. Without decreasing classification rates, we can save the time and memory size for computation using KLT. The proposed feature extraction technique extracts same size of features form the tow same parts, front and end of a syllable. This technique makes frames, where features are extracted, using unique size of windows. It could be applied for continuous speech recognition that was not easy for the normal neural network recognition system.

  • Recently, we have set up a new digital CCD camera system, MicroMax YHS-1300 manufactured by Roper Scientific for Ha observation by Solar Flare Telescope at Bohyunsan Optical Astronomy Observatory. It has a 12 bit dynamic range, a pixel number of 1300$\times$1030, a thermoelectric cooler, and an electric shutter. Its readout speed is about 3 frames per second and the dark current is about 0.05 e-/p/s at $-10^{\circ}C$. We have made a system performance test by confirming the system linearity, system gain, and system noise that its specification requires. We have also developed a data acquisition software which connects a digital camera con-troller to a PC and acquires H$\alpha$ images via Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 under Windows 98. Comparisons of high quality H$\alpha$ images of AR 9169 and AR 9283 obtained from SOFT with the corresponding images from Learmonth Solar Observatory in Australia confirm that our H$\alpha$ digital observational system is performed properly. Finally, we present a set of H$\alpha$ images taken from a two ribbon flare occurred in AR 9283.

  • The aim of this study is to develop a software tool of thermal performance and economic analysis of windows, called WEPTools which helps architects, builders, and engineers quickly identify the most cost-effective window system in the very early stages of the design process. This software is suitable for examining middle or Large-sized commercial and residential buildings that are characterized by one thermal zone. To establish the reliability of the simulation results, we adopt TRNSYS algorithm of which verification has already well approved. Therefore it performs whole-building energy analysis for 8760 hours/year, including dynamic thermal calculation.

  • More than 76% of the detached houses in Korea are over 20 years old. These old detached houses have poor energy efficiency. According to the 2017 Housing Census (Statistics Korea), more than 50% of low-income families live in detached houses. Therefore, the improvement of energy efficiency in old detached houses is needed from the viewpoint of energy welfare. The general method of building energy modelling for the verification of energy efficiency is based on the construction year data of "Building Design Criteria for Energy Saving" due to the cost and time involved in collecting the thermal performance data of buildings. There is poor accuracy with the deterioration of long-term aging of building materials. Also, the selection of alternatives for energy performance improvement is based on the items to be applied, not a performance improvement goal. It is difficult to calculate energy performance that reflects variations in various parameters with dynamic energy simulations. In this study, the influence of long-term aging is used to accurately predict the energy performance of old detached houses. The building energy modelling method is called ENERGY#, which is a static analysis method based on ISO13790. Energy performance is evaluated by a combination of input variables including building orientation, insulation of walls and roof, thermal performance of windows and window/wall ratio, and infiltration rate. Finally, this study provides a way to determine alternatives that meet energy performance improvement goals.
