할인구매옵션을 고려한 동적 재생산계획문제 (A Dynamic Remanufacturing Planning Problem with Discount Purchasing Options)

  • This paper considers a remanufacturing and purchasing planning problem, in which either used products(or wastes) are remanufactured or remanufactured products(or final products) are purchased to satisfy dynamic demands of remanufactured products over a discrete and finite time horizon. Also, as remanufactured products are purchased more than or equal to a special quantity Q, a discount price policy is applied. The problem assumes that the related cost(remanufacturing and inventory holding costs of used products, and the purchasing and inventory holding costs of remanufactured products) functions are concave and backlogging is not allowed. The objective of this paper is to determine the optimal remanufacturing and purchasing policy that minimizes the total cost to satisfy dynamic demands of remanufactured products. This paper characterizes the properties of the optimal policy and then, based on these properties, presents a dynamic programming algorithm to find the optimal policy. Also, a network-based procedure is proposed for the case of a large quantity of low cost used products. A numerical example is then presented to demonstrate the procedure of the proposed algorithm.

동적 안전재고를 고려한 롯트량 결정 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Lot-Sizing Rules with the Dynamic Safety Stocks)

  • The determination of lot sizes in prevailing inventory problems has been made with constant safety stock over the planning horizon. But, it is more profitable to accommodate the safety stock to dynamically fluctuating demands. The objective of this paper is to study the method to determine the dynamic safety stock and lot sizing rules depending on the actual customer demands. The last period or highly fluctuating period during the consumption of a lot is the most critical one to stock-out. It means that such periods must be given more attentions. Some dynamic methods to control safety stock are proposed with viewpoints of the time, quantity, and time-quantity. Simulation results show that lot sizing methods with dynamic safety stock reduce about 10% of average total cost compared to those with constant safety stock.

Evaluation of ASCE 61-14 NSPs for the estimation of seismic demands in marginal wharves

  • The Standard ASCE 61-14 proposes the Substitute Structure Method (SSM) as a Nonlinear Static Procedure (NSP) to estimate nonlinear displacement demands at the center of mass of piers or wharves under seismic actions. To account for bidirectional earthquake excitation according to the Standard, results from independent pushover analyses in each orthogonal direction should be combined using either a 100/30 directional approach or a procedure referred to as the Dynamic Magnification Factor, DMF. The main purpose of this paper is to present an evaluation of these NSPs in relation to four wharf model structures on soil conditions ranging from soft to medium dense clay. Results from nonlinear static analyses were compared against benchmark values of relevant Engineering Design Parameters, EDPs. The latter are defined as the geometric mean demands that are obtained from nonlinear dynamic analyses using a set of 30 two-component ground motion records. It was found that SSM provides close estimates of the benchmark displacement demands at the center of mass of the wharf structures. Furthermore, for the most critical pile connection at a landside corner of the wharf the 100/30 and DMF approaches produced displacement, curvature, and force demands that were reasonably comparable to corresponding benchmark values.

  • We consider dynamic lot-sizing model with production time windows where each of n demands has earliest due date and latest due date and it must be satisfied during the given time window. For the case of nonspeculative cost structure, an O(nlog n) time procedure is developed and it is shown to run in O(n) when demands come in the order of latest due dates.

  • This paper considers a shipment planning of products from manufacturers to a third-party warehouse for demands with production time windows where a demand must be replenished in its time window. The underling lot-sizing model also assumes cargo delivery cost in each inbound replenishment to the warehouse. For this model, an optimal O($nT^4$) is presented where n is the number of demands and T is the length of the planning horizon.

  • Much of the past work regarding repairable item stockage has concentrated on the development of models and policies for systems in steady state. However, there are important situations in which the transient behavior is most important. A dramatic example of this is the potential dynamic behavior exhibited by demands and service in the deployment of an Air Force squadron at the onset of a conflict. The purpose of this paper is to derive some probability distributions necessary for providing an integrated approach for a multi-echelon inventory system with nonstationary demands and service rates.

  • The development of IT has made it possible to use various terminal systems for financial transaction and demands for financial survices are getting more and more diversified at the same time. Among others, mobile banking service market based on IC chips has been expanded its service areas and the number of mobile banking users has been increased. The study analyzes and tests the dynamic effects of the inflow of potential customers on mobile banking market condition by using system dynamics methodology to identify the dynamic structure of mobile banking market. The simulation model is designed to track the variation in the number of subscribers of mobile banking servides according to two scenarios, and the results are as follows; First the effect of word of mouth by customers who have used the service already is significant. The satisfactory level of early adopters is reflected in WOM, and as a test result shows, increase in word-of-mouth causes the growth of potential customers' demands for mobile banking service. Second, perceived attractiveness of mobile banking service market is another important construct. Factors such as convenience, mobility, time saving, security, and various services explain the construct perceived attractiveness of the service, and it makes the potential customers adopt the service, causing the increase of demands.

  • 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서의 상황인지 서비스는 동적으로 발생하는 사용자의 상황 정보에 따른 서비스 제공을 지향한다. FollowMe와 uFlow와 같은 상황인지 워크플로우 시스템은 사용자의 상황 정보를 서비스의 분기 조건으로 표현한 워크플로우 기반의 상황인지 웹 서비스를 제공한다. 그러나 그들은 워크플로우의 실행 중에도 동적으로 발생할 수 있는 사용자의 서비스 요구에 대해 진행 중인 워크플로우 시나리오에 즉각적으로 적용할 수 있는 방법을 제공하지 못한다. 본 논문에서는 실행 중인 워크플로우 서비스의 중단없이 사용자가 입력하는 새로운 서비스 요구를 초기 워크플로우 시나리오에 동적으로 반영할 수 있는 상황인지 워크플로우 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 사용자의 새로운 서비스 요구에 대해 실행중인 시나리오에서의 변경 위치를 점진적 파싱(Incremental Parsing)을 통해 정확히 인식하고 초기 시나리오에서 영향을 받는 부분만을 신속히 재구성함으로써 동적으로 발생하는 사용자의 상황정보를 보다 빠르고 효율적으로 초기 시나리오에 적용할 수 있으며, 워크플로우 흐름의 중단없이 계속적인 서비스를 제공할 수 있다. 이를 통해 사용자는 시간과 공간에 관계없이 원하는 서비스를 상황인지 워크플로우 시나리오에 반영할 수 있으며, 기술된 사용자 컨텍스트에 따라 상황인지 서비스의 실행을 보장받을 수 있다.

Behavior of multi-story steel buildings under dynamic column loss scenarios

  • This paper presents a computational study of column loss scenarios for typical multi-story steel buildings with perimeter moment frames and composite steel-concrete floors. Two prototype buildings (three-story and ten-story) were represented using three-dimensional nonlinear finite element models and explicit dynamic analysis was used to simulate instantaneous loss of a first-story column. Twelve individual column loss scenarios were investigated in the three-story building and four in the ten-story building. This study provides insight into: three-dimensional load redistribution patterns; demands on the steel deck, concrete slab, connections and members; and the impact of framing configuration, building height and column loss location. In the dynamic simulations, demands were least severe for perimeter columns within a moment frame, but the structures also exhibited significant load redistribution for interior column loss scenarios that had no moment connectivity. Composite action was observed to be an important load redistribution mechanism following column loss and the concrete slab and steel deck were subjected to high localized stresses as a result of the composite action. In general, the steel buildings that were evaluated in this study demonstrated appreciable robustness.

A Study on the Context-Aware Reasoning Filtering Mechanism in USN

  • Context-awareness system can provide an optimized services to users. Analyzing physical and complex circumstance elements which give direct or indirect influence to users can tell what users want. However, there are various situation informations around users and it requires high level technology to extract the service what users really want among those informations. The circumstance of the user can be changed from moment to moment, even the service what users want also can be changed in every minutes. Recently the researches to provide the service which a user demands has been progressed actively. Web based filtering method which reaches commercialization is a one of good examples. This method extracts necessary data according to users' demands from the documents on the Web or multimedia informations. However, there is a limit to use it to provide Context-awareness service because it extracts static data, not dynamic data. There is also other researches with a rule based filtering method in progress to filter situation information but this method doesn't have mechanism for dynamic data as well. We would like to solve these problems by providing a dynamic situation information filtering mechanism applying an weighted value about each property of objects and also applying Web based dynamic categories in this paper when unnecessary data should be filtered.
