THE DUAL OF A FORMULA OF VISKOV

  • This minipaper offers a formula which is dual to that of Viskov [5]. While Viskov's can be thought of as a rising formula for Laguerre polynomials, ours is precisely the lowering one. Besides documenting the formula, which seems to be missing, we want to provide a (rather elementary) operator theory argument instead of making crude calculations. In other words, the annihilation and creation operators are confronted with lowering and rising formulae; they are often failed to be distinguished.

  • This paper discusses the solution to the precise positioning control problem applied to a simple model of a dual stage or redundant positioner. The dual stage actuator presented here uses a VCM(Voice Coil Motor) as a coarse actuator and a piezoelectric actuator as a fine actuator. By adopting controllers with two-degree-of-freedom and by optimizing H$_{2}$ faster precise tracking can be realized. Experimental and numerical results are presented to demonstrate the control effects.

  • A dual probe laser Doppler vibrometer (LDV) that has one laser source and provides two independent object beams has been developed for the first time. An electronic circuit that converts light signal to electronic signal has been also developed using digital phase locked loop(DPLL). It was found that this types of dual probe LDV can be used in differential mode and self-vibration compensation mode.

  • A mixed type dual to the control problem in order to unify Wolfe and Mond-Weir type dual control problem is presented in various duality results are validated and the generalized invexity assumptions. It is pointed out that our results can be extended to the control problems with free boundary conditions. The duality results for nonlinear programming problems already existing in the literature are deduced as special cases of our results.

  • In this paper, frequency synthesizer that can be used in IMT-2000 was designed and fabricated using dual loop PLL(Phase Locked Loop). For improving phase noise characteristic Voltage Controlled Oscillator was fabricated using coaxial resonator and eliminated frequency divider using SPD as phase detector and increased open loop gain. Fabricated frequency synthesizer had 1.82㎓ center frequency, 160MHz tuning range and -119.73㏈c/Hz low phase noise characteristic.

  • In this paper. to eliminate a cross-polarization interference caused by co-channel dual polarization technique of digital radio relay system(DRRS), a cross-polarization interference canceller(XPIC) is analysed in terms of the analytical modeling, digital design, and its performance. By virtue of a 13-tap adaptive equalizer and XPIC, about 23dB in XPIC improvement can be obtained by computer simulation. To show the operation of designed XPIC, some simulated results are reviewed under 64-QAM DRRS with co -channel dual Polarization.

  • Collision free task planning for dual-arm robot which perform many subtasks in a common work space can be achieved in two steps : path planning and trajectory planning. path planning finds the order of tasks for each robot to minimize path lengths as well as to avoid collision with static obstacles. A trajectory planning strategy is to let each robot move along its path as fast as possible and delay one robot at its initial position or reduce speed at the middle of its path to avoid collision with the other robot.

  • In the paper, CDMA's vocoder algorithm, QCELP, was analyzed. And, 16-bit programmable DSP core for QCELP was designed. When it is used two MACs in DSP, we can implement low-power DSP and estimate decrease of parameter computation speed. Also, we implemented in FIFO memory using register file to increase the access time of the data. This DSP was designed using logic synthesis tool, COMPASS, by top-down design methodology. Therefore, it is possible to cope with rapid change at mobile communication market.

  • The U-slot patch antenna has been found experimentally to provide impedance and gain bandwidths. Experiment and simulation results include impedance bandwidth, copolar and crosspolar-pattern characteristics and gain measurements. If one of the parameters such as patch width or feed position is varied, U-slot patch can also function as a dual-frequency antenna.

  • This paper deals with a new two dimensional clinometer based on dual axis micromachined accelerometers. The clinometer is a small and low-cost product, which is mainly developed to help golfers read easily the tilt of a putting green. First, this paper proposes the principle of two dimensional clinometer and also a calibration method to improve accuracy with respect to the offset voltage and sensitivity of a accelerometer. Experimental results show that the proposed clinometer can provide useful information on the tilt of an inclined plane.
