An Ontology System for Interworking between Block-type Industrial IoT Devices (블록형 Industrial IoT 디바이스 연동을 위한 온톨로지 시스템)

  • Recently, Industrial-IoT (IIoT) solutions accounted for up to 55% in 2016 and technological innovation and various new business models are being developed. In this paper, apply IIoT device in various environments and implement an ontology system that can interwork with block type IIoT device to easily add / change / delete sensor. The proposed system consists of IIoT device, block-type module, and ontology server. When the block-type module is connected to the IIoT device, the appropriate driver is installed and the firmware is downloaded through the ontology server. Even if a block is added / changed / deleted, it can be updated automatically. Through experiments, we confirmed that the normal operation of the server and the updating and downloading of software are implemented normally.

Extraction Technique of Communication Packet between PMS server and Clients in Combined Cycle Power Plant (복합화력 발전소의 PMS 서버와 Client 간의 통신 패킷 추출 기법에 관한 연구)

  • A new packet extraction program is presented to extract communication packet between a server and clients. The extracted packet source is used to develope a special driver to access general clients to the server. The proposed scheme employs a relay server to take a specified packet among a large number of packets on the same network. The proposed method is tested in PMS (Plant Management System) sewer and ProDAS (Process Data Aquisition and Analysis System) in a combined cycle power plant. The developed scheme can be applied for extracting a specified communication packet between the general server and client.

  • Automobiles have been used as simple means of transportation, but recently, as automobiles are rapidly becoming intelligent and smart, and automobile preferences are increasing, research on IT technology convergence is underway, requiring basic high-performance functions such as driver's convenience and safety. As a result, autonomous driving and semi-autonomous vehicles are developed, and these technologies sometimes deviate from lanes due to environmental problems, situations that cannot be judged by autonomous vehicles, and lane detectors may not recognize lanes. In order to improve the performance of lane departure from the lane detection system of autonomous vehicles, which is such a problem, this paper uses fast recognition, which is a characteristic of YOLO(You only look once), and is affected by the surrounding environment using CSI-Camera. We propose a lane detection system that recognizes the situation and collects driving data to extract the region of interest.

Agent Based Road Control Model for Micro-Level Traffic Simulation (미시적 교통 시뮬레이션을 위한 에이전트 기반 도로 통제 모델 구축 연구)

  • This study investigated how much the spread of traffic control information affect the traffic congestion in order to identify the behavior of the individual drivers that impacts on the entire transport system. For this purpose, agent-based transportation model was constructed. GIS data were directly used for the transportation model and the processing steps of the simulation results are presented. The results showed that the average speed was not lowered when the traffic information was provided to 30 to 70% of total drivers. In contrast, the driver's average speed is reduced when he traffic information was provided to less than 20% or 80% or more. In summary, the provision of traffic information to drivers has an influence on the traffic flow and bypassing vehicles can generate local congestion. This results can be used as a basis for the future direction of road transport policy.

  • The thermal image system was widely used in the defence-related industry because of detect infrared light from the object without light. but, as the demand in the security system and automobile market increases, the civilian industry are expanding to the private sector. There are difficult to apply various requirement because of previous systems are based by FPGA, so it need new system that apply to various requirement. The proposed paper is thermal image processing system using common image processor. It has various requirement and scalable to support image input/output interface and device driver. If it is used to proposed system, it reduce development cost and period than previous system based FPGA. Because there has very high accessibility. In addition, it expect to have satisfaction of customer requirements, development cost, development period, release date of product.

  • A Digital TV system is necessary for data Processing as well as video and audio processing. Especially in the case of interactive broadcasting, it should manage returning channel created by the Internet, PSTN, and so on. Because of many functionalities and multitasking jobs, it needs an Operating System. Embedded Linux as open source program can increase a cost effectiveness in market and has many advantages - reusable device drivers and application programs, more convenient developing environment using shell and file system, and easy problem resolution within Open Source Community. In this paper, we modified Embedded Linux kernel and cross developing environment for a big-endian system, redesigned devices for kernel execution, and configured system memory map in order to load a linux kernel. Also we developed an device driver for entire system control.

  • According to the development of service industry recently, the use of call taxi service is increased to use a taxi more comfortably. But related firms hesitate to construct a call center on account of enormous expense of constructing. Hence we developed the system that can minimize expense of constructing a call center which use a cellular phone. The proposed system is different from the existing call system of using a terminal method. we designed by applying UML(Unified Modeling Language) the system that can integrate and manage operations of customer management, driver management, order management and settlement of accounts etc. more efficiently using CTI(Computer Telephony Integration). Then the designed system is constructed by using Visual Basic 6.0. For implementing CTI more effectively, calling number of customer is received in PC using CID that is commercialized and then the customer's information is retrieved in the Database in real-time. The system proposed in this paper is possible to construct at low expense, can improve customer service level through an efficient customer management solution.

  • In this paper, a VoIP (Voice on Internet Protocol) terminal system, which can process voice in real time based on Linux, is designed and implemented. The hardware of it is designed using a i486 processor and a DSP codec chip which encodes and decodes voice data in real time. As an operating system, RTLinux, which is a real-time operating system based on Linux, is ported to manage real-time voice processing. The voice processing module of the system uses G.723.1 voice codec of ITU-T standard. It transfers voice data within 30ms to assure good voice quality. In order to satisfy the real time requirements and QoS (Quality-of-Service) for the voice data, the real-time voice processing device driver is designed and implemented. To verify the system, the chatting application program is developed and tested for QoS of the system.

  • A rapid development of semiconductors, sensors and mobile network technologies has enable that the embedded device includes high sensitivity sensors, wireless communication modules and a video processing module for vehicular environment, and many researchers have been actively studying the smart car technology combined on the high performance embedded devices. The vehicle is increased as the development of society, and the risk of accidents is increasing gradually. Thus, the advanced driver assistance system providing the vehicular status and the surrounding environment of the vehicle to the driver using various sensor data is actively studied. In this paper, we design and implement the smart vehicular camera device providing the V2X communication and gathering environment information. And we studied the method to create the metadata from a received video data and sensor data using video analysis algorithm. In addition, we invent S-ROI, D-ROI methods that set a region of interest in a video frame to improve calculation performance. We performed the performance evaluation for two ROI methods. As the result, we confirmed the video processing speed that S-ROI is 3.0 times and D-ROI is 4.8 times better than a full frame analysis.

The effects of PM driving direction and alert sound type on risk perception and awareness of PM driver of pedestrians (개인형 이동장치(PM)의 주행 방향과 경고방식의 차이가 보행자의 위험 지각과 주행자에 대한 인식에 미치는 영향)

  • The use of personal mobility(PM) is increasing because of preading shared mobility, but, it causes risk of accidents and fear to pedestrians because of lack of sound. The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of the alert sound in PM and driving direction on risk perception of pedestrians, awareness on PM driver, and allowance for driving on each road. The 8 videos were produced from a pedestrian perspective, depending on the alert sound type(silent, vess, bell, voice) and direction of driving(front, back). After watching each video, participants completed surveys. There was a non-effect on the driving direction. Regardless of the alert sound type, all of the sounds reduced the risk perception. Also, the awareness of PM drivers and allowance for driving on each road were positive. This study found that PM needed an alert sound for pedestrian safety. We expect the results of the study to help improve awareness of PM and make policies and regulations.
