Cloth Product Recognition based on Siamese Network with Body Region Extraction method

  • Nowadays, people consume a lot of content such as web dramas or K-pop videos through mobile devices such as smartphones, and the market for indirect advertisements through these web dramas or K-pop videos is also increasing every year. In order to lead to the immediate purchase of indirect products in web dramas, a system that allows consumers to purchase immediately at the time the products appear in the drama is needed. In this paper, we propose a system to allow viewers to purchase products worn by celebrities immediately when viewers see and click on them. When a user clicks on a video, it recognizes the product worn by the celebrity, and displays information on the screen on the most similar product corresponding to the recognized product, allowing them to go to the seller's site where they can purchase it. In order for such a system to operate stably, a pose estimation and siamese network-based system is proposed. The proposed system will primarily be released as a streaming service in the form of an app or web page that connects the products in web dramas or other K-pop video contents screened on the mobile with e-commerce. Furthermore, in the future, the technology is expected to be used globally in various industries such as smart mobility and display kiosks.

  • Chinese shadow puppetry is an ancient form of drama with a long history. Known as the "mother of Chinese folk opera", it has rich cultural connotations and artistic value. At the same time, as a classic video game genre, side-scrolling games have many loyal fans around the world. However, in recent years, some previous entertainment cultures such as shadow puppetry are slowly disappearing. In contrast, video games play an increasingly important role in people's entertainment. Combining Chinese traditional culture with video games can be a great way to promote the preservation of these cultures. By making traditional culture more accessible and engaging, developers can help to ensure that these cultures continue to be enjoyed by future generations.The side-scrolling game is a classic game type, and it has many similarities with shadow puppetry. This paper will analyze the similarities and differences between Chinese shadow puppetry and horizontal version games, and try to explore how to organically integrate the two, so as to promote the inheritance and development of traditional culture, and promote cultural innovation and the development of creative industries.

Automatic Cast-list Analysis System in Broadcasting Videos (방송 비디오 등장인물 자동 분석 시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose a system that can analyze appearance interval of casts by detecting and recognizing casts in broadcasting videos. The cast is one of the most important characteristics in broadcasting videos such as drama and sports. In this paper, we propose the ACAV(Automatic Cast-list Analysis in Videos) system that analyzes cast-list automatically in video. The ACAV system consists of FAGIS(FAce reGIStration) which registers detected faces into the face DB and FACOG(FAce reCOGnition) that analyses the cast-list in video sequence using the face DB. We evaluate performance of the ACAV system by comparing with FaceIt, one of the most well-known commercial systems for the cast-list analysis. The ACAV shows face detection and recognition rates of 84.3% and 75.7% that are about 30% and 27.5% higher than those of FaceIt, respectively. The ACAV system can be applied to mass broadcasting videos management system for broadcasters and video management system of PVR(Personal Video Recorder) and mobile phone for the public.

Subjective QoS Performance of MPEG-2 under Cell Loss and Cell Error Conditions (셀손실과 셀오류에 따른 MPEG-2의 주관적 QoS 성능)

  • When providing MPEG-2 video service through the ATM network, the degradation of QoS caused by cell losses and cell errors occuring from ATM netwok was assessed by the end-users subjectively and then the relation between CLR, CER and subjective QoS of MPEG-2 video was analyzed. Cell losses and cell errors occuring from the ATM network were generated according to the normal and exponential distribution by NEM module. Video sources were divided into sports and drama by moving feature and were tested. The results of our experiments show that the excellent quality of subjective QoS grade 5 was achieved for a cell loss rate of $2{\times}10^{-7}$ and for a cell error rate of $2{\times}10^{-7}$ and the good quality of subjective QoS grade 4 was achieved for a cell loss rate of $2{\times}10^{-6}$ and for a cell error rate of $2{\times}10^{-6}$ When providing MPEC-2 video service through the ATM network, the results of our experiments will be used as valuable information to determine the network performance objectives for satisfying the QoS required by the end-users and to design the network.

  • The technique, which is able to detect and recognize characters in videos such as a movie or TV drama, can be used for applications which are database management of a general user's facial images for the suppliers of PVR(personal video recorder), mobile phones, and multimedia, etc. In this paper, we propose a face detection algorithm. It searches the character through cast indexing when the scene is changed in video. It is consisted of three stages. The first step is the detection-step of the scene change after producing a paused image. The second step is the face detection-step using color information. The final step is the detection-step which detects its features by the facial boundary. According to the experimental result, it has detected faces in different conditions successfully and more advanced than the existing other one that are using only color information.

  • The purpose of this study is to search shot clip' using variables influencing on the VOD purchase intention and watching intention of real-time broadcasting. This research focused on usage motivation, usage experience such as use time, time of utilization, genre, utilization pattern. Controlling demographic factors, results show that personal relation, benefit against whole broadcast, education genre, watching video, video sharing and recommendation were statistically influential to VOD purchase intention. And, results show that flexibility of use, drama/movie genre, read and write comments were statistically influential to watching intention of real-time broadcasting.

  • The concept of pity has been continually debated as one of the major characteristics of tragedy, as highlighted by Aristotle. Especially, this concept might be changed according to the change of drama characters, relying on times. Aristotle says that 'pity' must be included in the accounts of tragedy along with fear. Historically, divergent interpretations have been understood in different meanings based on the worldview of each era. This thesis attempts to explore 'pity' including how it has been understood and discussed since Aristotle first mentioned it, and search for a way of having pity on a person who undergoes misery until now in the times of losing the tragedy in real meaning.

  • 질의 난이도 분석 문제는 자연어 질의문을 답변할 때 어려움의 정도를 측정하는 문제이다. 질의 난이도 분석 문제는 문서 독해, 의학 시험, 비디오 질의 등과 같은 다양한 데이터셋에서 연구되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 질의문과 질의문에 응답하기 위한 정보들 간의 관계를 파악하는 것으로 질의 난이도 분석 문제를 접근하여 이를 BERT와 Dual Multi-head Attention을 사용하여 모델링 하였다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 모델의 우수성을 증명하기 위하여 최근 자연언어이해 부분에서 높은 성능을 보여주는 기 학습 언어 모델과 이전 연구의 질의 난이도 분석 모델과의 성능을 비교하였고, 제안 모델은 대표적인 비디오 질의 응답 데이터셋인 DramaQA의 Memory Complexity에서 99.76%, Logical Complexity에서는 89.47%의 정확도로 가장 높은 질의 난이도 분석 성능을 보여주었다.

On-line Prediction Algorithm for Non-stationary VBR Traffic (Non-stationary VBR 트래픽을 위한 동적 데이타 크기 예측 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we develop the model based prediction algorithm for Variable-Bit-Rate(VBR) video traffic with regular Group of Picture(GOP) pattern. We use multiplicative ARIMA process called GOP ARIMA (ARIMA for Group Of Pictures) as a base stochastic model. Kalman Filter based prediction algorithm consists of two process: GOP ARIMA modeling and prediction. In performance study, we produce three video traces (news, drama, sports) and we compare the accuracy of three different prediction schemes: Kalman Filter based prediction, linear prediction, and double exponential smoothing. The proposed prediction algorithm yields superior prediction accuracy than the other two. We also show that confidence interval analysis can effectively detect scene changes of the sample video sequence. The Kalman filter based prediction algorithm proposed in this work makes significant contributions to various aspects of network traffic engineering and resource allocation.

The Effects of Dramatherapy Program on Sociality of Isolated Children (연극치료 프로그램이 고립아동의 사회성에 미치는 효과)

  • This study is to know the effect of drama therapy on the sociality of isolated children. To achieve this goal, the following hypothesis was built. Hypothesis I. Dramatherapy program will improve the sociality of isolated children. I -1. Dramatherapy program will improve in cooperation. I -2. Dramatherapy program will improve in independency. I -3. Dramatherapy program will improve in sociability. I -4. Dramatherapy program will improve in law-abiding. To test this hypothesis, the social and emotional isolation test was conducted in 190 children consisting of fifth-grader from N elementary school located in Busan to select 28 children whose founded to be isolated; among these children, eight who wanted to participate in the program were positioned at the experimental group and other eight who didn't want to do and who demonstrated the range of marks similar to the experimental group were positioned at the control group. The dramatherapy program was based on the theory by Robert Landy (2002), Jennings (2003) and Phil Jones (2005) to improve the sociality of isolated children and was implemented in a total of 15 sessions, two sessions a week after school. To test the effect of the program, A modified test paper by Suh, Poongyeon (1991) with the content of testing sociality into a test paper of human nature for elementary school students to be made by Jeong, Bummo (1971) was used which consists of four sub-factors: cooperation, independency, sociability, law-abiding. As a quantitative analysis, Mann-Whitney Test were analyzed for experimental and control groups. As a qualitative analysis, the interaction patterns among student were analyzed on he basis of video tapes. The tool of observe the interaction patterns among student was Interaction Process Analysis System which was made by Bales (1970). This study obtained the following result First, the drama therapy had meaningful effect on the sociality of the sociality of isolated children. But the quantitative change of the sociality test conclusion was showed meaningfully and positive social behavior was increased in periodical process analysis. Second, in the Interaction Process Analysis(IPA) affirmative interactions increased and negative interactions decreased.
