신체 특성에 따른 타겟 연령별 치수 호칭 설정 - KS 규격 및 신체 치수 분석을 바탕으로 - (Garment Sizes Analysis on Target Ages and Body Shapes)

  • This study was performed to narrow down the Sizing System for Female Adult's garments(KS K 0051) following age target and body shapes. The study was based on the sizing system and the anthropometric measurements, called Size-Korea, which were surveyed in the years 2003 and 2004. At first, the subjects of the survey were classified into 4 age groups, $18{\sim}24,\;25{\sim}34,\;35{\sim}49\;and\;50{\sim}59$, based on the most significant differences of body sizes. Secondly, the ranges of four key dimensions - height, bust, waist and hip-of normal sizes were identified through analyzing Rohrer index and percentile. The selected sizes within the ranges were grouped by the drop which was the subtraction of bust girth from hip girth. In conclusion, there was the most frequent drop for each age group; 9cm drop for the $18{\sim}24$ years old group, the 6cm drop for the $25{\sim}34$ years old and $35{\sim}49$ years old and 3cm drop for $50{\sim}59$ years old. The upper body garment sizes of the same drop and target ages could be merged to 10 to 12 sizes, which were remarkably smaller than the Female Adult garment sizing system, and further to 2-5 sizes, considering the percentile importance. However, $50{\sim}59$ years old group needed to be analyzed in different ways, because the number of subjects of normal size in the age decreased rapidly, that the normal sizes for them were very limited. In addition, the reference body sizes of each garment size were apparently different when they were compared to each age groups. These basic data for garment size specification could be usefully adapted for the apparel companies' own sizing system according to their age target and body shapes, to achieve efficient production and better fit.

청소년기 남학생의 하반신 체형에 따른 하의 치수 규격 연구 (A Study on the Sizing System for Lower Garments according to Lower Body Types of Adolescent Boys)

  • The purpose of this study was specifically focused on the lower garment sizing system of adolescent apparel, especially on trousers for adolescent boys. Research Method was performed by using the physical measurements of adolescent boys ($14\sim19$ years old, n=1,344) based on the 'he fifth Korean national physical standard reports' surveyed by SIZEKOREA. The basic materials for this study are obtained from the observations of physical characteristics and classification of physical figures based on the characteristics from waist down. The results from this study are as follows. 1) according to the analyses of physical changes, most items including height, circumference, length, breadth and depth were increased at the age of $14\sim18$ and gradually reduced at the age of 19. 2) The factors which compose the lower body resulted were appeared that the first factor was vertical factor, the second factor was horizontal factor, the third factor was hip length, and the last factor was buttlock-popliteal length. 3) Formalization of physical figures for adolescent boy's lower body analyzed from factors grouped three types. 4) The basic parts that we used to propose the apparel sizing system distinguished by physical figures were Waist Circumference (Omphalion) (every 3cm regular gap) and Hip Circumference (irregular gap). Physical figures assigned 5 to Type T, and 4 to type M. The reference measurement items were divided into 7 items which are correlated with apparel manufacture.

승용차용 터보과급기 로터의 관성모멘트 측정 (Measurement of Inertia of Turbocharger Rotor in a Passenger Vehicle)

  • The turbocharger is an essential component to realize the engine down-sizing. The moment of inertia of turbocharger rotor is an important parameter with respect to acceleration performance of the vehicle. It can be calculated from the CAD software based the geometry data and the material properties. But the accurate value of the inertia of turbocharger rotor must be measured through the experimental method. In this study, the measurement of moment of inertia of turbocharger rotor for 2.0 L spark-ignition engine was carried out. First, an experimental equipment using a trifilar method was designed and fabricated. Some optical devices, that is, photo sensor, counter, convex lens, etc, were used to increase the accuracy of the measurement. Second, error sensitivity for the equipment was analyzed. The error of period time and the radius can give big affects to the accuracy of the moment of inertia. When the amount of error of these two were each 1.0 %, maximum error of the moment of inertia was under 3.0 %. Third, the calibration for the equipment was performed using a calibration rotor which has similar shape to turbine rotor but simple. Calculated value from CAD software and measured one for the calibration rotor were compared. The total error of the equipment and the measurement is about 1.3 %. This result shows that the equipment can give the good result with resonable accuracy. Finally the moment of inertia of the turbine rotor and compressor wheel were measured. The coefficient of variations, the ratio of standard deviation to mean value, were reasonably small at 0.57 % and 0.73 % respectively. Therefore this equipment is suitable for the measurement of the moment of inertia of the turbine rotor and compressor wheel.

  • Tail wing is important to designing of civil aircrafts, because it is responsible for aircraft stability and control. Tail wing has a role in aircraft control and makes aircraft fly stably without any pilot control input. Also, designing of tail wing determine trim drag force in whole aircraft. Center of gravity(CG) of aircraft travels with various effects as placement of passenger's seats, location of cargo bay, etc. In designing horizontal tail volume, aircraft CG travel has to be considered to have margin so that it should be sized to provide adequate stability and control for the airplane's entire CG range throughout the flight envelope. Finally, it is essential to have sufficient elevator control to perform stall at forward CG for all flaps down configurations. Such stalls establish the FAR stall speed which airplane take-off and landing performance. This paper deals with the process for tail wing design regarding the aircraft CG travel and results for 95-seat type turboprop aircraft.

4050세대 여성의 다운-에이징(Down-aging) 의류 구매실태 및 치수만족도 조사 (A Study on the Purchasing Practice and Satisfaction of Down-aging Clothes for the Female in their 40s-50s)

  • This study investigated purchasing practice and size satisfaction to offer basic data to establish a marketing strategy and produce down-aging clothes for females in their 40s-50s. For the data analysis, crosstabs, factor analysis, and one-way ANOVA were used. The results were as follows; first, middle-aged women were observed to purchase down-aging clothes "to look younger" and not purchase clothes "due to the lack of right sizes." For women who answered to 'not purchase clothes', they also acknowledged that they intended to purchase down-aging clothes in the future if the right size is available. Second, people in their early 40s significantly considered perceptual qualities such as fashion and brand names while people in their late 50s placed the most importance in practicality and wearability. For body shapes, people with overweight body types were found to significantly consider physical performance, practicality, and wearability. Third, the examination of purchase satisfaction levels by age groups showed that younger age groups had high satisfaction level for wear functionality related items that included size and activity however, the late 50s group had the lowest satisfaction level. Middle-aged women purchased clothes to look younger however, they simultaneously wear clothes that are plain and conservative or respectable and graceful. Therefore, the development of products reflect the analysis of designs that can help create a more youthful appearance and women's preferred styles are needed in addition to the establishment of a differentiated sizing system for middle-aged female consumers in the incorporation of the characteristics of middle-aged women's body parts.

순위프로빗모형을 이용한 예비은퇴자의 주택소비 조정 의향 결정요인 분석 - 주택규모의 변화를 중심으로 - (Exploring housing consumption adjustment of pre-retirees after retirement using ordered probit model in terms of different housing size)

  • 본 연구에서는 예비 은퇴자의 은퇴 후 주택소비 조정 의향에 대한 결정요인을 탐색하였다. 연구방법으로 전국의 A은행에서 수집된 1,351명의 은퇴 후 주택소비 조정 의향에 대한 설문자료를 활용하여 분석을 실시하였다. 주택소비 조정의 범주는 다운사이징, 유지, 업사이징으로 구분하였고 이를 설명하기 위한 요인으로 성별, 교육수준, 주택규모, 주택유형, 자산규모, 은퇴 후 근로의지 등을 고려하여 순위프로빗 모형으로 추정하였다. 연구결과, 은퇴 후 주택소비 조정은 주로 주택 규모, 자산 규모, 은퇴 후 근로의지에 의해 영향을 받는 것으로 추정되었다. 구체적으로 첫째, 현재 주택 규모가 상대적으로 크면 은퇴 후 주택 소비를 하향 조정(다운사이징)할 가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자산 규모가 10억원을 초과하는 응답자는 3억원 초과~5억원 이하의 자산을 보유한 응답자에 비해 주택 소비를 상향 조정(업사이징)할 가능성이 높은 것으로 추정되었다. 셋째, 은퇴 후 근로의지가 전혀 없는 경우가 아니라면 주택소비를 하향 조정하기보다 상향 조정하고자 하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 고령화에 따른 향후 주택시장의 정책을 위한 정보를 제공할 것으로 사료된다.

  • A conventional power supply of a microwave oven has a 60Hz transformer and high voltage capacitor(HVC). Though it is very simple and has low cost, it has several problems such as large size, heavy weight and low efficiency To improve these problems, various high frequency inverter type power supply have been investigated and developed in recent years. But these cost is higher than the conventional one due to additional control circuit, fast switching devces. In this paper, a novel pulse power supply for microwave oven using high frequency transformer embedded HVC(High Voltage Capacitor) is proposed for down-sizing, cost reduction and efficient improvement. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed transformer, an equivalent circuit of transformer embedded HVC is derived and it's characteristic is described. And the validity of the proposed pulse power supply embedded HVC-high frequency transformer is shown by simulations and experiments accroding to various operating conditions.

  • This paper describes novel high voltage capacitor(HVC) embedded high frequency transformer and novel inverter power supply topology for driving magnetron in microwave oven. This transformer is used to achieve down­sizing, low-cost and efficiency improvement. Proposed transformer has HVC in its secondary winding. Therefore, this transformer does not need external high voltage capacitor which used in conventional power supply. As use of this transformer, output voltage is shifted from ground to above 2000[V] and efficiency of microwave oven can be improved. The weight of proposed transformer is about one sixth of conventional one and efficiency is improved by seven percent compared to the efficiency of the conventional system.

  • 본 연구에서는 에너지 및 환경에 대한 문제가 대두되면서 기술 개발의 필요성이 높아지고 있는 풍력발전시스템에 대하여 750kW급 Geared Type 가변속 풍력 발전시스템을 개발하였다. 풍력발전시스템이 급속히 대용량화됨을 고려하여 MW급의 기술 조합이 반영되도록 설계하였으며, 베어링과 같은 국내 인프라가 부족한 구성품을 제외한 모든 구성기기들을 자체 설계/제작하였다. 블레이드는 국내 풍황에 적합하도록 자체 에어포일을 설계하여 개발하였으며, 가변속 제어를 위한 이중 여자 유도발전기 및 제어기와 Down sizing 구현을 위한 유성 및 헬리컬 기어 혼합형 증속기를 개발하여 시동 풍속 3.5m/s, 정지 풍속 25m/s, 정격 풍속은 12.7m/s이며 IEC 61400-1의 Class I 에 준한 750kW급 풍력 발전시스템을 개발하였다.

  • A conventional power supply to drive a microwave oven has ferro-resonant transformer and high voltage capacitor(HVC). Though it is simple transformer is bulky heavy and has low-efficiency. To improve this defect a high frequency switching inverter-type power supply has been investigated an developed. in recent years. But because of it's additional circuit and devices inverter-type power supply is more expensive than conventional one. In this paper The design procedure of a novel HVC embedded high frequency transformer is proposed for down-sizing and cost reduction. Also transformer equivalent circuit model is derived by FEM analysis and parameter measurements. And the operation of proposed HVC embedded transformer is verified by simulation and experimental results.
