현대건축에 나타난 르네상스적/바로크적 특성에 관한 연구 - 뵐플린의 개념틀에 의한 국립현대미술관 서울관과 동대문디자인플라자의 비교분석을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Renaissance/Baroque Characteristics Appearing in Contemporary Architecture - Focused on the Analysis of National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Seoul Branch and Dongdaemun Design Plaza from the Concept Frame of Wölffrin -)

  • This study investigated Renaissance and Baroque architectural characteristics found in contemporary public buildings in Seoul, which are National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Seoul Branch(MMCA) and Dongdaemun Design Plaza(DDP). Among H. $W{\ddot{o}}lfflin^{\prime}s$ five categories for Renaissance-Baroque art study, four categories (Clearness/Unclearness, Plane/Recession, Closed form/Open form, Multiplicity/Unity) are applied for the analysis as the architectural issues of Transparency/Concealment, Exhibited/Experienced Depth, Formal/Figural, and Composed harmony/Generated Unity. As a result, MMCA showed the characteristics of the extreme of Modern classic such as transparency, homogenization of space, formalism, and composition of multiple elements. Meanwhile, the study could find various Baroque characteristics from DDP such as separation of indoor and outdoor, phenomenological depth, rule breaking, and generation of figure. The study finally argued that DDP would not be an anti-modern, but try to inherit and overcome the modern architecture to explore different possibilities, and that the similar relationship between Renaissance and Baroque art could be found in these two cases.

  • This paper summarizes some of approaches that could be taken for data exchange in a non-interoperable work environment and reports lessons learned from the Dongdaemun Design Plaza and Park project. Today's widespread application of building information modeling (BIM) to the construction and architectural design industries requires a change in the cooperation between business organizations and their methods of communication. In particular, the interoperability of information between interdisciplinary organizations, which use specific programs for different purposes, has become a critical issue. More than just a technical problem, it is also highly related to an organization's collaboration culture and the particulars of a specific project. This paper describes the interoperability issue that occurred during the construction documentation phase of the irregularly shaped building project, Dongdaemun Design Plaza and Park, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects and Samoo Architects and Engineers, from the perspective of the technological problem and the collaborative organizations' communications. Although the perfect compatibility of information is not possible, this paper deals with a practical approach to the interoperability issue by examining the way the end-users of computer-aided design (CAD) resolved the interoperability problems in practice.

  • 21세기에 접어들어 정형화된 건축물에서 비정형 건축물이 눈에 띄게 건설되기 시작하였다. 이제 '기념비적인 건축물은 비정형 건축물이다.'라는 정의가 성립되기에 이르렀다. 전 세계적으로 비정형 건축물은 도시의 랜드마크가 되었고 비정형 건축물이 건물의 가치를 상승시키는 하나의 요소로 자리 매김한 현재, 보다 효율적인 방법으로 설계할 수 있는 프로세스에 대한 고찰이 요구되었다. 그래서 국내 비정형 건축물의 대표인 'Zaha Hadid'의 '동대문 디자인 플라자' (DDP)의 설계프로세스를 실례로 설계프로세스를 고찰함으로써 컨셉 단계의 설계와 실질적 설계단계에서의 BIM(Building Information Modeling) 설계의 상관관계를 고찰함으로써 향후 지속적인 비정형 설계프로세스의 접근방법을 모색하고자 이 논문을 작성하였다.

비정형 건축물 파사드의 개산견적을 위한 최적화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Cost Estimates for Optimization in the Free-Form Building Facade)

  • The most difficult process in the construction of free-form buildings is to manufacture and construct exterior panels designed in a complex way. The façade of the free-form buildings include flat-panels, one-way curvature-panels, and bi-directional curvature panels. To construct these forms, it is necessary to go through the process of optimizing. But as for the optimizing technologies, BIM-specializing companies exclusively protect those technologies, so small construction companies have difficulty in rough estimates. Therefore, this study was aimed to provide the basic data in making the rough estimates of free-form buildings by carrying out the optimizing process for the façade of Dongdaemun Design Plaza and conducting the rough estimates according to the stage of production methods and optimization.

건축미의 경제적 가치 퍼지패턴 분석 (Fuzzy Patterns of Economic Valuating on the Architectural Aesthetic - Case Study of Applying the Fuzzy-Contingent Valuation Method to the Dongdaemoon Design Plaza -)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the fuzzy pattern that is reflected on the inside of the value evaluator in measuring the economic value of architectural aesthetic using the fuzzy-contingent valuation method. The main results of analyzing the relationship between architectural aesthetic and fuzzy patterns by typing 307 fuzzy patterns collected from visitors at Dongdaemun Design Plaza are as follows: First, low levels of architectural aesthetic can be a primary cause of extreme refusal of payment. However, it was confirmed that the extreme refusal of payment could partially involve mentality of free-ride on public goods or mentality that would not give value to past events that are not future. Second, if the architectural aesthetic score is 77.5, the most perfect form of fuzzy pattern is formed. It is confirmed that the fuzzy form, which is the standard in the relationship between architectural aesthetic and money value, is made at 77.5 points. This means that it is most efficient to have 77.5 points of architectural aesthetic to secure balanced data by membership in the study of architectural aesthetic value measurement through fuzzy pattern. Third, according to the architectural aesthetic score, respondents can be interpreted as follows: no monetary willingness arises before or after 52.4, starts to respond to the amount before and after 65.6, severe conflict over payments around 70.6~71.7, stronger willingness to pay around 77.6, want to pay for sure around 80.0.

비정형건축물의 IPD(Integrated Project Delivery) 도입 필요성 검토 (Necessity Review of IPD(Integrated Project Delivery) for Free-Form Building in Domestic)

  • A lot of very complex free-form buildings such as Seoul City Office and DDP(Dongdaemun Design Plaza) have been recently built nowadays in domestic. However, as construction methods and cost data are decided without enough discussion and collaboration with specialized subcontractors during design stage, construction quality problems and cost overrun of the free-form buildings are thus occurred during construction stage. Therefore design system and process or contract and ordering system should be developed participating the specialized subcontractors during design stage in order to perfect the free-form design and construction. Especially US has thus an effort to apply IPD(Integrated Project Delivery) system which can solve the problems of construction quality, productivity decrease and cost overrun by constructing the buildings based on exact drawings and collaboration as well as activating BIM(Building Information Modeling). Therefore this study reviews cases of the free-form buildings in domestic and then presents necessity review of IPD in domestic.

비정형 건축물 공사의 생산성 분석 및 향상방안 - 노출콘크리트 공사를 중심으로 - (An Analysis and Improvement of Free Form Building's Construction Productivity - Focused on Exposed Concrete Work -)

  • 2007년 독일의 건축 잡지 바우넷에서 선정한 세계 5대 설계사들의 2006 ~ 2010년 설계한 전체 설계 중 25%가 비정형 건축물로, 비정형 건축물은 도시, 국가의 랜드마크로서 그 사회적, 경제적 파급효과가 매우 크다. 국내 또한 인천세계도시축전 기념관, 킨텍스 제2전시관, 동대문디자인 플라자 등 비정형 건축물이 증가하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 설계 트렌드 및 증가하고 있는 비정형 건축물의 수요에 반해 이를 충족할 만한 비정형 건축 프로젝트의 설계 및 시공 관리 경험 부족으로 인해 비정형 프로젝트는 수익성을 기대하기 어렵고, 완공 후에도 많은 문제들이 부각되고 있다. 특히 국내 인력의 비정형 프로젝트 수행 경험부족으로 인해 불확실한 공사비 예측, 설계 과다변경 등으로 인해 완공 후에도 품질 문제를 비롯한 공사비 상승 관련 문제들이 계속 발생하고 있으며, 이와 같은 비정형 건축물의 특성을 고려하지 못한 초기 계획은 프로젝트 수행 시 실제와 그 차이가 커 프로젝트 관리 리스크로 작용하지만 아직 비정형 건축물 프로젝트 관련 실적자료나 사례분석 자료 구축은 미비로 인해 어려움을 겪고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 비정형 건축물 공사 중 생산성이 낮은 공종을 선정하여 작업 프로세스 분석 및 실제 현장 생산성 자료 분석을 통해 실질적인 생산성 자료 구축 및 비정형 건축물 공사 생산성 향상 방안을 제시하고자 한다.
