  • For the first-order bilinear time series model $X_t = aX_{t-1} + e_i + be_{t-1}X_{t-1}$ where ${e_i}$ is a sequence of independent normal random variables with mean 0 and variance $\sigma^2$, the asymptotic distribution of sample autocarrelation function is obtained and shown to follow a normal distribution. The variance of the asymptotic distribution is of a complicated form and hence a bootstrap estimate of the variance is proposed for large sample inference. This result can be used to distinguish between different bilinear models.

  • We study the geometry of half light like submanifold M of a semi-Riemannian space form $\bar{M}$(c) subject to the conditions : (a) the screen distribution on M is totally umbilic in M and the coscreen distribution on M is conformal Killing on $\bar{M}$ or (b) the screen distribution is totally geodesic in M and M is irrotational.

  • A new bivariate beta distribution based on the Appell function of the third kind is introduced. Various representations are derived for its product moments, marginal densities, marginal moments, conditional densities and conditional moments. The method of maximum likelihood is used to derive the associated estimation procedure as well as the Fisher information matrix.

  • We consider a single server multi-class queueing model with Poisson arrivals and relative priorities. For this queue, we derive a system of equations for the transform of the queue length distribution. Using this system of equations we find the moments of the queue length distribution as a solution of linear equations.

  • The present research investigates the thermodynamically bending behavior of FG sandwich plates, laying on the Winkler/Pasternak/Kerr foundation with various boundary conditions, subjected to harmonic thermal load varying through thickness. The supposed FG sandwich plate has three layers with a ceramic core. The constituents' volume fractions of the lower and upper faces vary gradually in the direction of the FG sandwich plate thickness. This variation is performed according to various models: a Power law, Trigonometric, Viola-Tornabene, and the Exponential model, while the core is constantly homogeneous. The displacement field considered in the current work contains integral terms and fewer unknowns than other theories in the literature. The corresponding equations of motion are derived based on Hamilton's principle. The impact of the distribution model, scheme, aspect ratio, side-to-thickness ratio, boundary conditions, and elastic foundations on thermodynamic bending are examined in this study. The deflections obtained for the sandwich plate without elastic foundations have the lowest values for all boundary conditions. In addition, the minimum deflection values are obtained for the exponential volume fraction law model. The sandwich plate's non-dimensional deflection increases as the aspect ratio increases for all distribution models.

  • Purpose: This study was performed to investigate the pattern of condylar pressure distribution in the discs of a patient diagnosed with disc displacement without reduction. Materials and Methods: This research consisted of a pre- and post-test observational clinical study. A patient diagnosed with disc displacement without reduction underwent treatment with an occlusal splint for 3 months. Finite element analysis employed a 3-dimensional model constructed from magnetic resonance images of the patient, taken both before the application of the splint and 3 months after its use. Results: The post-test model demonstrated a decrease in condylar pressure on the disc, with measurements dropping to 72 MPa from the pre-test level of 143 MPa. In the pre-test, the pressure distribution pattern was concentrated on the lateral posterior border, whereas in the post-test, it shifted toward the intermediate zone of the disc. Conclusion: Utilization of a stabilization splint for 3 months resulted in decreased pressure and a marked change in the pressure distribution pattern on the temporomandibular disc.

  • Even though the protective facility is well made with the development of medicine, the spatial dose within the radiation section could increase the exposure of the workers. The spatial dose is always present in distribution room within the Department of Nuclear Medicine, so the spatial dose of the interior distribution room is measured and analyzed for the prediction of the exposure dose. The spatial dose rate was $6.78{\pm}0.083{\mu}Sv/h$ in the $^{18}F$ distribution room of department of Nuclear Medicine, $9.248{\pm}0.013{\mu}Sv/h$ in $^{99m}Tc$, and $^{131}I$ distribution room. In addition, in case of $^{18}F$ distribution room, the yearly external exposure dose was $42.5{\mu}Sv$ when the nurse does IV in 1m in distance. It also showed that the spatial dose rate on the direction of right oblique showed higher than others by the standard of distribution window of distribution room. Therefore, the staying time of the workers should be short during distributing radiopharmaceuticals in the distribution room and the design of the distribution protection is necessary to reduce the exposure in the direction of right oblique of the protection. The utmost endeavors are required to reduce the worker's individual exposure dose while doing IV.

  • Purpose - This study involves the following questions: "Does internalization theory fully explain reality?" and "Which additional factors may add extra value to the theory?" To answer these, this study divides market entry mode into two steps, initial and subsequent and then, focuses on the subsequent distribution step; that is, the post-entry strategy after initial entry. In addition, this study relies on finding strategic orientations that affect the decision of post-entry into foreign markets. Research design, data, and methodology - To investigate this, this study examines 252 cases of Korean online games for each foreign market and the distribution mode at the product-team level. Results - The result shows that companies use different distribution strategies as a post-entry mode, like licensing, or joint distribution rather than exclusive distribution, through subsidiaries even if they already have wholly owned local subsidiaries which have enough experience and resources to select the entry modes among various types and then provide full commitment and control. Additionally, it finds that strategic orientation affects post-entry strategies differently. Conclusions - Therefore, this study is noteworthy and significant, as it practically extends the existing theories such as an internalization and distribution for decision making regarding the overseas expansion of entertainment businesses.

  • DC distribution system has been evaluated as an excellent one in comparison with existing AC distribution network because it needs fewer power conversion stages and the full capacity of the equipment can be used without consideration for power factor. Recently, research and development on the implementation of DC distribution networks have been progressed globally based on the rapid advancement in power-electronics technology, and the technological developments from the viewpoint of infrastructure are also in progress. However, to configure a distribution network which is a distribution line for DC, more accurate and rapid introduction of analysis technology is needed for the monitoring, control and operation of the system, which ensure the system run flexible and efficiently. However, in case of a bipolar DC distribution network, there are two buses acting as slack buses, so the Jacobian matrix cannot be configured. Without solving this problem, DC distribution network cannot be operated when the network is unbalanced. Therefore, this paper presented a comprehensive method of analysis with consideration of operating elements which are directly connected between neutral electric potential caused by the unbalanced of load in DC distribution network with bipolar structure.

  • To confirm the change of muzzle velocity and the most suitable probability distribution model of the 155 mm K9 howitzer barrel with chrome plating and changed rifling. Using a statistical program, the muzzle velocity were plotted on a normal distribution, a 2-parameter and 3-parameter Weibull distribution on a probability paper. Also, statistical parameters were estimated and muzzle velocity fitness test and probability of K676 charge were plotted. In both the chrome-plated with standard rifling and changed rifling for K9 barrel, the 2-parameter and 3-parameter Weibull distribution were skewed to the left compared to the normal distribution. It was confirmed that the muzzle velocity of the K9 barrel with chromium-plated is suitable for the normal distribution and 3-parameter Weibull distribution model.
