In aerospace and energy engineering, the reconstruction of three-dimensional (3D) temperature distributions is crucial. Traditional methods like algebraic iterative reconstruction and filtered back-projection depend on voxel division for resolution. Our algorithm, blending deep learning with computer graphics rendering, converts 2D projections into light rays for uniform sampling, using a fully connected neural network to depict the 3D temperature field. Although effective in capturing internal details, it demands multiple cameras for varied angle projections, increasing cost and computational needs. We assess the impact of camera number on reconstruction accuracy and efficiency, conducting butane-flame simulations with different camera setups (6 to 18 cameras). The results show improved accuracy with more cameras, with 12 cameras achieving optimal computational efficiency (1.263) and low error rates. Verification experiments with 9, 12, and 15 cameras, using thermocouples, confirm that the 12-camera setup as the best, balancing efficiency and accuracy. This offers a feasible, cost-effective solution for real-world applications like engine testing and environmental monitoring, improving accuracy and resource management in temperature measurement.
In this paper, a 2-dimensional novel beam element is developed and a method to replace the 3-dimensional analysis with 2-dimensional analysis is proposed. The developed novel beam element named rigid-ended beam element can consider the effect of three kinds of span points within one element, which was impossible in modeling with the ordinary beam element. Calculated results for the portal frame using the rigid-ended beam element agree with the results using membrane element. And also, the proposed simplified 3- dimensional analysis method which includes two step analysis using influence coefficients shows good accuracy. Structural analysis using the rigid-ended beam element and the simplified 3-dimensional method is revealed to have good computing efficiency due to unnecessity of the elements corresponding to the brackets and simplification of 3-dimensional analysis.
Purpose: The development of information technology makes it easy to utilize high-dimensional categorical data. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to propose a novel method to select the proper categorical variables in high-dimensional categorical data. Methods: The proposed feature selection method consists of three steps: (1) The first step defines the goodness-to-pick measure. In this paper, a categorical variable is relevant if it has relationships among other variables. According to the above definition of relevant variables, the goodness-to-pick measure calculates the normalized conditional entropy with other variables. (2) The second step finds the relevant feature subset from the original variables set. This step decides whether a variable is relevant or not. (3) The third step eliminates redundancy variables from the relevant feature subset. Results: Our experimental results showed that the proposed feature selection method generally yielded better classification performance than without feature selection in high-dimensional categorical data, especially as the number of irrelevant categorical variables increase. Besides, as the number of irrelevant categorical variables that have imbalanced categorical values is increasing, the difference in accuracy between the proposed method and the existing methods being compared increases. Conclusion: According to experimental results, we confirmed that the proposed method makes it possible to consistently produce high classification accuracy rates in high-dimensional categorical data. Therefore, the proposed method is promising to be used effectively in high-dimensional situation.

In order to improve the measurement accuracy of the 6-dimensional accelerometer, the cross coupling compensation method of the accelerometer needs to be studied. In this paper, the non-linear error caused by cross coupling of piezoelectric six-dimensional accelerometer is compensated online. The cross coupling filter is obtained by analyzing the cross coupling principle of a piezoelectric six-dimensional accelerometer. Linear and non-linear fitting methods are designed. A two-level calibration hybrid compensation algorithm is proposed. An experimental prototype of a piezoelectric six-dimensional accelerometer is fabricated. Calibration and test experiments of accelerometer were carried out. The measured results show that the average non-linearity of the proposed algorithm is 2.2628% lower than that of the least square method, the solution time is 0.019382 seconds, and the proposed algorithm can realize the real-time measurement in six dimensions while improving the measurement accuracy. The proposed algorithm combines real-time and high precision. The research results provide theoretical and technical support for the calibration method and online compensation technology of the 6-dimensional accelerometer.

In this paper, we investigate cooperative transmission in one-dimensional random wireless networks. In this scheme, a stationary source communicates with a stationary destination with the help of N relays, which are randomly placed in a one-dimensional network. We derive exact and approximate expressions of the average outage probability over Rayleigh fading channels. Various Monte-Carlo simulations are presented to verify the accuracy of our analyses.
Singular stress fields around three-dimensional wedges are examined, and the near-tip intensity is calculated via the two-state M-integral with the aid of the domain integral representation. A numerical example demonstrates the effectiveness and accuracy of the present scheme for computing the stress intensities of singular stresses near the generic three-dimensional wedges.
An efficient 3-dimensional compressible solver is developed using the second-order upwind TVD scheme and the multigrid diagonalized ADI method. The multigrid method is improved so that the present DADI algorithm obtains better convergence rates. Results are computed on Cray C90 computer for transonic unsaperated flows past ONERA-M6 wing to demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency. The results show good agreement with experimetal data. A reduction of four orders of residual for 3-dimensional transonic flow is obtained about 99 seconds.
This paper deals with a new two dimensional clinometer based on dual axis micromachined accelerometers. The clinometer is a small and low-cost product, which is mainly developed to help golfers read easily the tilt of a putting green. First, this paper proposes the principle of two dimensional clinometer and also a calibration method to improve accuracy with respect to the offset voltage and sensitivity of a accelerometer. Experimental results show that the proposed clinometer can provide useful information on the tilt of an inclined plane.
Statement of problem: Major objective in making on implant-supported prosthesis is the production of superstructure that exhibits a passive fit when connected to multiple abutments. One requirement to ensure passive fit is to make an accurate impression. Purpose : The purpose of this study was to compare the accuracy of master cast fabricated by using different impression methods at the different impression levels. Material and method: The master model used in this study was resin block having low implant analogs. Impression method studied were 1) direct method on fxiture level (Group FIX-D), 2) indirect method on fixture level(Group FIX-I), 3) modified indirect method on fixture level(Group FIX-M), 4) direct method on abutment level(Group AB-D) and 5) indirect method on abutment level(Group AB-I). Each of the five groups took 10 impressions. Fifty impressions were made for master cast by using Impregum $F^{(R)}$ impression material loaded on individual tray. Three dimensional measuring microscope was used to measure the inter-implant distance. Error rate of each inter-implant distance were calculated and evaluated. Results : The results were as follows. 1. Group FIX exhibited higher accuracy than group AB. 2. In group FIX, modified indirect method showed the highest accuracy, while indirect method showed the lowest accuracy. In group Ab, indirect method showed the higher accuracy than direct method. 3. Group FIX showed larger horizontal error than group AB. But, group AB showed the larger vertical error than group FIX. 4. Group Fix-M showed smallest vertical and horizontal error. Conclusion: An impression method have more effect on accuracy of master model than an impression level. A modified indirect method showed smallest vertical and horizontal error.
