  • We present the results for the design ofantireflection (AR) coatings on facets of a multilayered structure waveguide device. The method, whose results agree very well with the reusults of the rigorous method in the case of a symmetric three layer structure deveice, is extended for the design of AR coatings on the facets of a multilayered structure waveguide device. the field profile in a multilayered structure waveguide necessary for the use of the extended method is obtained from the transfer matrix method. The virtual four layered structure method (VFLM) is proposed to reduce the time for the design ofAR coatings because the time for the design of AR coatings using the extended method increases as the number of layers increases. The optimum coating parameters and tolerance mapsfor two different six layered waveguide devices in Ref. [9] and [10] are obtained using the extendedmethod and the VFLM,and for the three different cases approximated as three layered waveguide devices to compare the results of each case. The results of the VFLM are similar to those of the extended methodcompared to those of the three layered structure waveguide. The main reason for the above results is that the field profile in the device calculated usingthe VFLM is similar to that calculated using the extended method compared to that for three layered structure wavegjide. We conclude that the extended method or VFLM should be used for the design of AR coatings on facets of a deice required for the facet reflectivity less than 10$^{-3}$ such as a semiconductor otical amplifier.

  • Optical disk is the media which is used generally in data storage device, but it has a disadvantage in the vibration by spinning and the shock. For overcoming these disadvantage, we must control the optical disk to minimize the focusing error and tacking error. The present study investigates the disk profile for minimizing the focusing error subjected to environmental shock and weight of the disk. In this study, the disk is assumed to be a cantilever beam to determine the disk profile for the minimum displacement as to the shock considering only the first mode. Also, for the optimally determined profile by ADS program this paper recalculate the robust caltilever profile by using orthogonal array and ANOM.

  • The effect of fluorine ions, which can be reacted with boron in high-doped BPSG, is investigated on the contact sidewall wiggling profile in semiconductor process. In the semiconductor device, there are many contacts on $p^+/n^+$ source and drain region. However these types of wiggling profile is only observed at the $n^+$ contact region. As a result, we find that the type of plug implantation dopant can affect the sidewall wiggling profile of contact. By optimizing the proper fluorine gas flow rate, both the straight sidewall profile and the desired electrical characteristics can be obtained. In this paper, we propose a fundamental approach to improve the contact sidewall wiggling profile phenomena, which mostly appear in high-doped BPSG on next-generation DRAM products.

  • This paper presents a design of macro-micro system for high-speed mounting of micro-chips. A macro motion device is driven by DC servomotor and ball screw mechanism. To obtain fast response, a micro motion device utilizes a precision elector magnetic actuator In order to reduce peak impact force, We evaluate the design parameters that have an effect on it. And a characteristic of response is simulated using PID controller in velocity and force control.

  • The demand against the contents service which is various with improvement capability of the mobile device. But the capability of heterogeneous mobile device to display contents has a difference from the side of the hardware, software, network conditions so the adaptation of contents is a solution to overcome this difference. This adaptation of contents is based on profile(DDL : Device Description Language) but there is no system which manages the profile efficiently. In this paper, we designed independent DDR(Device Description Repository) system that offers storage and optimized profiles processed by searching and recombination with request conditions.

  • Performance of TCP can be severely degraded in WLP-based Mobile IP wireless networks where packet loss not related to network congestion occurs frequently during WLP-based inter-subnetwork handoff by user mobility. To resolve such a problem in the networks using WLP-based Mobile IP, the packet buffering method recovering seamlessly the packets dropped due to user mobility has been proposed. The packet buffering method at a bridge station recovers those packets dropped during handoff by forwarding buffered packets at the old bridge station to the WLP device. But, when the WLP device moves to a congested bridge station in a new WLP foreign subnetwork, those buffered packets forwarded by the old bridge station are dropped and TCP transmission performance of a WLP device in the congested bridge station degrades due to increased congestion by those forwarded burst packets. In this paper, a PBM(Packet Bridge Marker) is proposed for preventing buffered out-of-profile(OUT) packets from reducing the throughput of in-profile(IN) packets of an Assured Service WLP device. From this operation, the packet losses of buffered OUT packets are avoided and the throughput of IN and Total packets of an AS WLP device are increased.

  • In order to realize effective p-type doping in ZnO thin films, ZnO films were deposited on P-doped Silayers by RF-magnetron sputter deposition technique and annealed at various temperatures. The result indicated that ZnO film annealed at $700^{\circ}C$ showed p-type conduction with a high carrier concentration in the order of $10^{19}\;cm^{-3}$.

  • This paper proposes a single sign-on scheme in which a mobile user offers his credential information to a home network running the OSGi (Open Service Gateway Initiative) service platform, to obtain user authentication and control a remote device through a mobile device using this authentication scheme, based on SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language). Especially by defining the single sign-on profile to overcome the handicap of the low computing and memory capability of the mobile device, we provide a clue to applying automated user authentication to control a remote device via a mobile device for distributed mobile environments such as a home network based on OSGi.

The profiles also must be supplied the services providers that need to the profiles for the personalized service. The profile framework is necessary to provide the functions like this for managing effectively of the personalized service. The proposed framework used the Web Services for exchanging and providing the profile regardless the various devices and platform. The framework also was applied the metadata constitute method and dynamic constitute method for managing effectively of the profile. The result of experiment using proposed framework was effective process and management of the profile and could exchange the profile with regardless of platform and device. The implemented system using the proposed framework was foundation of providing the personalized services with a user by through a effective management function of the profile.

  • The color reproduction of digital still camera does not, in general, match those of the final output device. Because color gamut of these devices is different, it is therefore necessary to take account of a way to match. The way uses the optimized profile to output device an image. This paper proposed a way to create the input profile of digital still camera for standardization soft proofing process. The results of proposed way showed that for input profiles equivalent, good results relatively. In this paper, an experiment was done where the illumination sources used as the standard illumination 5200K and illuminated at a $45^{\circ}$ angle in the best illumination efficiently. The white balance was in mode 'custom' : aperture F11, exposure time 1/60s, ISO50, focal length 80mm. The images were exported and saved as 16bit RGB TIFF(AdobeRGB, sRGB, ProphotoRGB) images. To do the test, the RGB values of the RGB TIFF images are processed through the ICC input profile to arrive at processed $CIEL^*a^*b^*$ values. A profiling tool such as ProfileMaker 5.0 and Monacoprofile 4.8 are used to do this. The processed $CIEL^*a^*b^*$ values are compared to the reference $CIEL^*a^*b^*$ values and these two values are used to calculate a ${\Delta}E{^*}_{ab}$.
