  • This paper compared the properties of cosmetics depending on the shopping tendency of female consumers in Korea and China. The data on Chinese women living in Korea and Korean women in their 20s was collected using an offline survey. The data on Chinese women living in China in their 20s was collected using an online survey. Three hundred twenty-seven questionnaires out of a total of 330 questionnaires were used for statistical analysis. The survey was conducted from January to February 2014. Eighteen questions on shopping tendency and eight questions on the properties of cosmetics were analyzed using a 5-point Likert scale. Data was analyzed by Descriptives, Factor Analysis, Reliability Analysis, ANOVA and Cluster Analysis, and SPSS 21 statistical program. In accordance with the analyses, the shopping tendency comprised a showing-off tendency, pleasure-seeking tendency, and practicality tendency; the properties of cosmetics were classified into conformity and functionality. On the basis of the elements in the shopping tendency, the female consumers were categorized into a low involvement consumer group, high involvement consumer group, and hedonic consumer group. The Chinese women emphasized conformity or functionality of cosmetics more than the Korean women regardless of the countries where they lived. Regardless of shopping types or countries where they lived, the Korean and Chinese women in their 20s emphasized functionality over conformity of cosmetics. Furthermore, Chinese women living in Korea showed a similar shopping tendency to Chinese living in China.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics by design component elements of the facade in elementary school buildings after the 7th educational curriculum. This study choose twenty five elementary school as the subjects of the study. And among many elevations of building, an elevation that is alongside of the schoolyard is chosen because this elevation has the highest visual influence on passers-by. To begin with, this elevation is divided into the roof and the surface of a wall, The roof is divided into roof styles, existence of roof and materials. The surface of a wall is divided into design principles(balance, contrast, rhythm), the formal organization(basic elements and form, and transformation of form), the ornamental composition, materials and colors. The results of the research are summarized as follows: First of all, motifs of classical architecture were well expressed in this period and postmodern tendency had been shown until 2005. After Build Transfer Lease(BTL), however, tendency of classical architecture, contrast by the size of the form and base element by point disappeared. Instead, asymmetrical and flat tendency is expressed. Also, emphasized design of the building elevation appear by basic colors of Munsell, not motifs of classical architecture.

The major finding were summarized as follows; 1) The subjects of the these in the journal were mostly related to design solution or design theory. Therefore, more theses for design history or human behavior are needed for the future. 2) The purposes of the these in the journal were classified into two groups, first; grasp and investigation of the phenomenon in the design or design related theory, second; suggestion of problem solving ideas in the design or design related study. There were 6 categories in each group and the diversified research purpose in the theses is very desirable trend for the future development in interior design studies or industry. 3) The research methods of the theses in the journal were literature research, experimental research, survey research and design research. The data collection methods in the KIID journal is similar to the that of field, natural science or social science.

The questionnaire is composed of fit preference tendency, physical measurements, age, and occupation. For the data analysis, SPSS 18.0 program was used, and descriptive statistics, Crosstabs, ANOVA, Duncan's test, t-test and multiple regression were conducted. The findings were as follows. 1. Regarding the fit preferred for each part of jackets, skirts, and slacks, among ready-to-wears, the 'thing with some extra width' in every part was most favored, followed by the 'thing fitting perfectly.' 2. The differences were found in the fit preference tendency by the age of adult women. The fit preference tendency was higher among those in their 20's than among those of the other age range. 3. The differences were also found in the fit preference tendency by the obesity level of adult women. The fit preference tendency was high in the order of the emaciation, normalcy, and obesity types. 4. For all of three items, age and body type or body type influenced the preference by the fit level. The subjects of this study were the young 218 women who had the shopping experiences with ambivalent fashion consuming tendency in their 20s of Pusan and Kyung-nam. These surveys referred to the relevant preceding researches and were completed by some pilot researches (focus group interview, paper-pencil test). The data was analyzed by frequency analysis, reliability analysis (Cronbach's ${\alpha}$), factor analysis and regression analysis. The main results of this study were summarized like following: First, this study was based on the definition and characteristics of the ambivalent fashion consuming tendency. The current ambivalent fashion consuming tendency consisted of price ambivalence, trend ambivalence and brand ambivalence. The consumer's demographic characteristics affected trend ambivalence, brand ambivalence.
