Advent of the new European satellite positioning system, Galileo will result in development of new satellite receivers such as, GPS/Galileo dual mode receiver. Furthermore, a new GNSS satellite receiver would be required to be self-reconfigured to certain navigational environments like, indoor, high interference, integrity, etc. In this paper, design and implementation issue of a FPGA based flexible GNSS receiver which gets navigation solution using L1 band signals of GPS and Galileo simultaneously is addressed.

A large-scale finite element simulation and modeling method is presented for environmental flows in urban area. Parallel stabilized finite element method based on domain decomposition method is employed for the numerical simulation. Several GIS and CAD data are used for the preparation of the shape model for landform and urban structures. The present method Is applied to the simulation of flood flow and wind flow In urban area. The present method is shown to be a useful planning and design tool for the natural disasters and the change of environments in urban area.

In this paper author develops digital governor for medium speed diesel engine. The system is composed of MPU main control module RPM measuring module PWM driving module driver module for F.O. rack drive motor key pad and display module. Experiment results of speed control on 6cyl 1800pm 250kw Daewoo MAN diesel erigine were satisfied for design speci-fications and system could be developed for commercial usage after taking more experiments and endurance tests under various environments.

A simulation model for the estimation of cutoff connection rate in the asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) switching system under multimedia traffic environments is presented. The simulator is developed by the integration of the AweSim tool with user-written C++ routines that model the internal structures of operational details of the switching system. For the case study, the simulator is applied to the ATM switching system developed by Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) to compare design alternatives according to the cutoff connection rates.

This study shows organizational designs to increase the coordination between infrastructure and rolling stock operation organizations after rail reform based on wheel/rail interface and train/track interaction. Information sharing, face-to-face meeting, liaison role, task force, manager responsible for coordination, and team organization could help to coordinate infrastructure construction plan and train operation plan. It is necessary for the organizations to begin to study the interaction between track and train in Korean environments to make the coordination more efficient.

The growing number of web applications in the global economy has made it critically important to develop secure and reliable software to support the economy's increasing dependence on web-based systems. We propose an intercepting filter approach to mitigate the risk of injection flaw exploitation- one of the most dangerous methods of attacking web applications. The proposed approach can be implemented in Java or .NET environments following the intercepting filter design pattern. This paper provides examples to illustrate the proposed approach.

OMG에서 제안된 CORBA는 표준 개방 분산환경의 플래트폼을 제공하며 객체지향적인 방법으로 최근 주목을 받고 있다. 일반적으로 CORBA는 원격 데이터베이스 질의 등과 같은 요구/응답형의 응용에 잘 적용이 된다. 그러나 과도한 처리부담, 실시간 처리 기능과 QOS 지원 등의 결여로 멀티미디어 스트림과 같은 연속미디어의 처리에는 부적합하다. 본 논문에서는 실시간 제약을 갖는 멀티미디어 스트림의 효율적인 전송을 위하여 기존의 CORBA를 확장하여 멀티미디어 서비스를 설계한다.

SoC 분야에서 온 칩 버스는 전체 시스템의 성능을 결정하는 중요한 요소이다. 이에 따라 최근 ARM 사에서는 고성능 온 칩 버스 구조인 ML(Multi-Layer) AHB 버스를 제안하였다. ML AHB 버스는 저전력 임베디드 시스템에 적합한 버스 구조로써 현재 널리 사용되고 있다. 하지만, 고가이기 때문에 ADK(AMBA$^{TM}$ Design kit) 구매에 대한 부담이 적지 않다. 본 논문은 ML AHB의 버스 구조인 버스 매트릭스 구현 및 ADK에서 제공되지 않는 테스트 환경 즉, Protocol Checker 및 Performance Monitor Module 구현에 관한 것이다.

In ubiquitous environments, context is any information that can be used to characterize the situation of an entity such as a person or an object. Many sensors and small computers collect contexts and provide applications with them. Thus, ubiquitous applications need to represent contexts and exploit them effectively. In this paper, we design and implement a context-aware messaging system, called UMS (Ubiquitous Messaging System), based on Java and Jini. UMS can represent various contexts using XML scripts, and communicate text messages regardless of user's location using the proxy mechanism of Jini.
