Development of Integrated Test Equipment for Airborne SAR System and Control Unit (항공탑재 SAR 시스템 및 통제장치 시험을 위한 통합시험장비 개발)

  • This paper describes SCTE(System and Control unit Test Equipment) as an integrated test equipment for airborne SAR system and control unit. SCTE enhances reusability of test equipment by modular design for required functions and strengthens automatic testing and test convenience by providing functions such as script-based testing function and report generation function. Also, it includes a navigation data simulator which can simulate various flight conditions. In this paper, we details SCTE requirements, H/W and S/W design, implementation, and test results with control unit and SAR system.

  • Info-communication software contains various functions and services. A software test is the only acceptance test step. Recently, however, all development steps have become important. In particular, the software acceptance step is very high, and a study of the effective use of limited time and resources on acceptance step is needed. This study examined the efficiency of the Test Design Technique for Software Test. The proposed Test Design process was applied to the domain systems of info-communication and the degree of improvement was measured. This paper establishes Software Test design process Infrastructure based on the developed software.

  • An Integrated Test Facility(ITF) is a human factors experimental environment to evaluate an advanced man machine interface(MMI) design. The ITF includes a human machine simulator(HMS) comprised of a nuclear power plant function simulator, man-machine interface, experiment control station for the experiment control and design, human behavioural data measurement system, and data analysis and experiment evaluation supporting system(DAEXESS). The most important features of ITF is to secure the flexibility and expandibility of Man Machine Interlace(MMI) design to change easily the environment of experiments to accomplish the experiment's objects In this paper, we describe a development scope and characteristics of the ITF such as, hardware and software development scope and characteristics, system thermohydraulic modelling characteristics, and experiment station characteristics for the experiment variables design and control, to be used as an experiment environment for the evaluation of VDU-based control room.

Design Improvement of Front-End Loader for Tractor to Reduce Stress Concentration and Evaluation of Impact Safety (응력집중 저감을 위한 트랙터용 프론트 로더의 설계개선 및 충격 안전성 평가)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the structural safety of the front-end loader for the 90 kW class of agricultural tractors in impact test conditions. Deformation and stress on the loader under the impact test conditions are analyzed using the commercial finite element analysis software ANSYS. In previous research dealing with the initial design of the loader, the maximum stress occurred in the mount and exceeded the yield strength of the material. In this paper, an improved design of the mount of the loader was proposed to reduce the stress concentration in the initial design. The safety of the improved design was verified by performing rigid-body dynamics analysis, transient structural analysis, and static structural analysis under three impact test conditions: a drop and catch test, a corner pull test, a corner push test. It was found that the local stress concentration in the mount that appeared in the initial design was greatly reduced in the improved design, and that the maximum stresses occurred in the three impact test conditions are smaller than the yield strength. It is expected that the design improvement of the mount proposed in this study and the method of analysis may be effectively used to enhance structural safety in the development of new model front loaders in the future.

  • To improve occupants' safety in an emergency, crashworthy design is necessary to rotorcraft design and development. Especially, landing gear has the important role for crashworthy design because landing gear absorbs relatively large energy for the crash landing. In addition, military specifications require failure of landing gear shall not increase danger to any occupants by penetration of the airframe. To meet the specification requirements, crashworthiness device like failure mechanism should be prepared so that landing gear is collapsed safely and doesn't penetrate the airframe. In this study, design and design development test of the failure mechanism which is necessary for the rotorcraft landing gear was performed. First, collapse scenario was determined for the landing gear not to penetrate the airframe. Then, the failure pin which is the most important part of the failure mechanism was designed with 2 strength range in order to meet design criteria. Finally, design of the failure mechanism was verified successfully by design development test.

  • Recently, the virtual test techniques using computer simulation play an important part in the vehicle development procedures in order to reduce the development time and cost by replacing the physical prototypes of the vehicle components or systems with the virtual prototypes. In this paper, virtual durability test procedures for the vehicle suspension module have been developed. Virtual durability test consists of dynamic simulation computing load history of suspension components, fatigue analysis computing the life of components. A vehicle suspension module for dynamic simulation are developed and validated by comparison with the measured data obtained from the field vehicle test. And on the basis of the validated vehicle suspension model, fatigue analysis has been performed for the virtual durability design of the suspension components.

  • This paper is introduced about Design driven testing, for real time system, based on use case approaches, We focuses on a part of an extended use case approach for real time software development, which partitions design schema into layered design component architecture of functional components called "design component", We developed a use case action matrix to contain a collection of related scenarios each describing a specific variant of an executable sequence of use case action units, which reflected the behavioral properties of the real time system design, in this paper, we attempt to apply real time system with design driven testing with test plan metrics which is introduced which produces an ordering of this scenario set to enhance productivity and both promote and capitalize on test case reusability of existing scenarios.scenarios.

  • Not enough verification or enough design of test is not performing in many software developments organization as yet. Therefore, defects that can be detected and corrected during the beginning phases of development are usually found during dynamic testing, it is often observed that testing is inefficient compared to effort for testing. This study aims to suggest a method for effective testing through case study. It is useful in case of not verification and not enough design of test in the previous phase than coding. We show in a concrete way major activities that determine prioritization of testing and level of test case design through static testing, i.e. code review and analysis of code quality. And also we show role between test team and development team.

  • The purpose of this study is development of dry floor tile method that practically used for improving wet method's defect, with resin mat design. PE resin used mat which satisfied with bonding test, waterproof test, resistance to chemical attack test, resistance to impact test and freezing and thawing test is confirmed the basic property.

  • This paper describes about the circuit design and test of the electronic Arm Fire Device. Electronic arm fire device consists of igniter, circuit and housing case and it operates without the actuator such as torque motor or solenoid. A high-voltage DC-DC converter was used to generate the voltage for initiating the LEEFI(Low Energy Exploding Foil Initiator). The MEMS switch was used to detect the acceleration that occurs when missile is launched, and the circuit was designed considering the size, performance, and specification of the electronic devices. The performance test was conducted to verify the designed circuit and we confirmed that it operates well.
