Looseleaf publications are truly a unique type of library material, partaking simultaneously of the nature of serials and monographs. Therefors, two disparate methods of cataloging looseleaf publications coexist today. But the decision to catalog looseleaf publications as serials as monographs affects the acquisition, budget allocation, receipt, record maintenance, and user access. In view of these aspects, this study analyzed the sources of information and seven areas of description (title and statement of responsibility ; edition ; publication, distribution, etc. ; physical description; series ; note ; standard number and terms of availability) of CRDLP2 as the exclusive cataloging rules of looseleaf publications. The results of the analysis were summarized in chapter 4 in detail. Finally, it is desirable that looseleaf publications for updationg are cataloged as monographs since the bibliographic description applied to looseleaf publications follows so colosely that of monographs. And, the cataloger must pay partioular attention to describe the physical description area because of numerous changes of the bibliographic records accompanied by frequent revisions or updates of the publications.

This paper presents about the activities of speech database standardization in ETRI. Recently, with the support of government, ETRI and SiTEC have been gathering the large speech corpus for the domestic speech related companies. First, due to the lack of sharing the knowledge of speech database specification, the distributed speech database has a different format. Hence it seems to be needed to have the same format as soon as possible. ETRI and SiTEC are trying to find the better representation format of speech database. Second, we introduce a new description method of the annotation information of speech database. As one of the structured description method, XML based description will be applied to represent the metadata of the speech database. It will be continuously revised through the speech technology standard forum during this year.

Device Description that is described as C-based DDL(Device Description Language) should be provided for the control system to use the progressive function of field device in the distributed control system. DD expresses field device function itself and parameter. DD is used to set a necessary function far a control strategy in the central control system. DD technology which was adopted as international standard IEC 61804-Part 2 is being used in PROFIBUS, Foundation Fieldbus and HART. However, the DD is dependent to the fieldbus and it doesn't have a suitable form in the industrial Ethernet. This paper presents the possibility of a change from EDD(Electronic Device Description) and GSD(General Slave Data) used for integrating field devices to XDD(XML for Device Description) and verifies it's effectiveness. Also, this paper presents research assignment on the XML application in the distributional system from now on by examining the possibility of Ethernet`s development in the industrial area.

사회의 다양한 모습을 기록으로 남기려는 민간 공동체 아카이브 구축이 증가함에 따라 사회적 소수자들에 대한 아카이브 구축에 대한 관심도 증가하였다. 이에 성적 소수자들의 기록에 초점을 맞추어 국내 퀴어 아카이브인 '퀴어락(Queerarch)'을 중심으로 기록물 구축현황을 알아보고 퀴어기록의 특성과 퀴어락 기술요소의 문제점을 파악하였다. 퀴어락 기술요소의 문제점으로 제시된 집합적 기술과 다계층 기술의 부재, 퀴어 기록의 특성을 충분히 반영하지 못했다는 점을 보완할 수 있는 방안을 마련하고자 ISAD(G), MAD, RAD 등의 기술규칙을 참고하여 새로운 기술요소를 제안하였다.

최근 멀티미디어 데이터의 급격한 양적 팽창은 원하는 데이터를 빠르고 정확하게 검색해야 한다는 새로운 과제를 안겨주었다. 이러한 효율적 검색을 위해서 가장 중요한 기반이 되는 것이 바로 멀티미디어 데이터의 적절한 표현이다. 국제 표준으로 제정된 MPEG-7은 바로 이러한 이유로 멀티미디어 데이터의 표현에 대한 표준화를 다루고 있다. 본 논문에서 메타데이터 생성을 위한 새로운 접근법을 제안한다. 사용자는 주어진 멀티미디어 컨텐츠를 작은 단위들로 분해를 하고, 분해된 단위들에 시간, 위치 둥과 같은 추가적인 기본정보뿐만 아니라 MPEG-7표준을 따르는 사건, 관계 등과 같은 분류정보를 쉽게 주석할 수 있다. 이 주석의 목적은 자동적으로 의미기술을 만들기 위한 것이고, 이 의미기술에서 노드들은 사건들이고, 링크는 그들 사이의 관계인 하나의 그래프이다. 마지막으로 제안된 기법을 기반으로 의미기술을 위한 주석도구(SMAT)를 구현하였고, 실제 실험을 통하여 성능을 평가하였다. 최종적으로, 제안 도구는 재사용성과 확장성의 두 개의 중요한 타당의 특징이 있다고 말할 수 있다.

시맨틱 웹 기반의 서비스의 기술(혹은 명세 )은 지능적 서비스 중개 (matchmaking)가 가능할 수 있도록 언어적 표현의 유연성 (flexibility)과 표현력 (expressiveness)을 높일 수 있는 방향으로 진행된다. 유연성은 서비스 기술의 상세한 정도와 표현의 구조적 차이를 컴퓨터가 처리하는 방식과 관련이 있고, 표현력은 서비스를 의미적 차원으로(혹은 온톨로지에서 표현하는 개념의 수준으로) 보다 풍부하게 표현하는 것을 의미한다. 최근 전자상거래의 표준으로 자리잡고 있는 UDDI와 ebXML의 단점은 서비스 명세에 있어서 유연성과 표현력이 떨어진다는 점이다. 본 연구에서는 DAML-S를 중심으로 시맨틱 웹 기반의 서비스 명세의 확장에 필요한 언어적 구성 요소들을 분석한다. 그리고 이를 지능형 웹 서비스 구현에 적용시키기 위한 방법을 가상적 경매 사이트인 테스트옥션 닷컴 (testAuction.com)을 구현한다. 마지막으로 현재 온톨로지를 이용한 서비스 기술 프레임웍에 대한 이론적 고려사항들에 대하여도 살펴본다.

A recently reported simple phenomenological constitutive model (SK) demonstrated comparable or better data description capability to/than one of the rigorous and physics-based models, the PTW model. The simple SK model is believed to be an efficient model for practical applications where an extensive computation is needed, and can serve as a rigorous comparison standard for the development of a physics-based model.

The purpose of this paper is to find a description of the cyclic codes of length $2^n$ over $\mathbb{Z}_4$. We show that any ideal of $\mathbb{Z}_4$[X]/($X^{2n}$ - 1) is generated by at most two polynomials of the standard forms. We also find an explicit description of their duals in terms of the generators.

Objectives : To analyze the contents of ≪Lingshu·Jingjin≫ and study the standard posture in context of Korean Medicine. Methods : Analyzed the terms related to the name, body region and orientation of Three Yin and Three Yang used in ≪Lingshu·Jingjin≫ to deduce the standard posture of the description. ≪Lingshu·Jingmai≫ was used as supplementary data. Results : The term "Three Yin and Three Yang" in ≪Lingshu·Jingjin≫ is used to indicate regions of the human body, and based on this, terms with orientation were used. Just like 'anatomical position', there is a standard posture in Korean Medicine, and it may seem to be similar overall, but there is a difference in posture in the upper extremity. In ≪Lingshu·Jingjin≫, Greater Yang is the dorsal region, Lesser Yang is the lateral surface region, Yang Brightness is the anterior surface region of the human body. In the body trunk, Three Yin refers to the inner parts of the human body. However, in the lower extremity, Three Yin refers to the medial surface of the legs. The name of the individual Meridian-muscle was given following the region corresponding to Three Yin and Three Yang. In ≪Lingshu·Jingjin≫, there is a basic posture that became the standard posture derived from the description. In an upright standing position, the feet face forward, the fingers naturally extended, and the back of the hand faces outward. The fact that the posture of the thumb is naturally extended is especially reflected in ≪Lingshu·Jingjin≫. This is clearly different from the "anatomical position" and as it can be the base of all areas of acupuncture, it is suggested that it be defined as the "Standard Position of Acupuncture Medicine". Conclusions : Based on our analysis, we suggest the "Standard Position of Acupuncture Medicine" as an upright standing position, with the feet facing forward, the fingers naturally extended, the back of the hand facing outward, and the thumb naturally extended.

독도 관련 고지도는 지도로서의 물리적 특수성과 고문헌으로서의 역사적 의미, 증거적 가치를 가지는 기록물로서 이를 보존하고 활용하기 위해서는 일반 기록물보다는 세밀하고 의미 있는 기술이 필요하나 높은 관심에 비해 체계적이고 통합적인 기술이 이루어지지 않고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 증거적 가치가 있는 독도 관련 고지도의 특성이 반영된 기술요소를 제안하였다. 우선 문헌 연구를 통해 독도 관련 고지도를 정의하고 그 특성을 알아보았으며, 국제기록기술표준(General International Standard Archival Description, ISAD(G))의 7개의 영역을 기준으로 12개의 기관사례조사를 비교분석하였다. 그리고 ISAD(G)에 적용 가능한 공통영역과 ISAD(G)에 없는 특수영역으로 나누어 기술요소안을 도출한 후, 고지도 전문가 의견을 반영하여 최종 기술요소로 식별영역, 배경영역, 내용과 구조영역, 접근과 이용조건영역, 연관자료영역, 주기영역, 기술통제영역, 기타영역 등 총 8개의 영역과 50개의 기술요소를 제안하였다.
