  • We study the neural network approximation to a function in $C^1$[0, 1] and its derivative. In [3], we used even trigonometric polynomials in order to get an approximation order to a function in $L_p$ space. In this paper, we show the simultaneous approximation order to a function in $C^1$[0, 1] using a Bernstein polynomial and a feedforward neural network. Our proofs are constructive.

  • In the present article, authors obtained certain fractional derivative and integral formulas involving incomplete ${\tau}$-hypergeometric function introduced by Parmar and Saxena [14]. Some interesting special cases and consequences of our main results are also considered.

  • In this paper, some estimations will be given for the analytic functions belonging to the class 𝓡(α). In these estimations, an upper bound and a lower bound will be determined for the first coefficient of the expansion of the analytic function h(z) and the modulus of the angular derivative of the function ${\frac{zh^{\prime}(z)}{h(z)}}$, respectively. Also, the relationship between the coefficients of the analytical function h(z) and the derivative mentioned above will be shown.

  • In the paper, we have exhaustively studied about the uniqueness of meromorphic function sharing two small functions with its k-th derivative as these types of results have never been studied earlier. We have obtained a series of results which will improve and extend some recent results of Banerjee-Maity [1].

A student's conceiving a pattern of change between two varying quantities in a quadratic functional situation and its representations: The case of Min-Seon (이차함수에서 두 변량사이의 관계 인식 및 표현의 발달 과정 분석: 민선의 경우를 중심으로)

  • The aim of this qualitative case study is twofold: 1) to analyze how an eleventh-grader, Min-Seon, conceive and represent a pattern of change between two varying quantities in a quadratic functional situation, and 2) further to help her form a concept of 'derivative' as a tool to express the relationship with employing a concept of 'rate of change.' The result indicates that Min-Seon was able to construct graphs of piecewise functions that take average rates of change as range of the functions, and managed to conjecture the derivative of a quadratic function, $y=x^2$. In conclusion, we argue that covariational approach could not only facilitate students' construction of an initial function concept, but also support their understanding of the concept of 'derivative.'

  • The derivative influence measure is adapted to the Cholesky decomposition of a covariance matrix. Formulas for the derivative influence of observations on the Cholesky root and the inverse Cholesky root of a sample covariance matrix are derived. It is easy to implement this influence diagnostic method for practical use. A numerical example is given for illustration.

  • Fractional derivative models, which are used to describe the viscoelastic behavior of material, have received considerable attention. Thus it is necessary to put forward the analysis solutions of dynamic systems containing a fractional derivative. Although previously reported such kind of fractional calculus-based constitutive models, it only handles the particularity of rational number in part, has great limitation by reason of only handling with particular rational number field. Simultaneously, the former study has great unreliability by reason of using the complementary error function which can't ensure uniform real number. In this paper, a new approach is proposed for an analytical scheme for dynamic system of a spring-mass-damper system of single-degree of freedom under general forcing conditions, whose damping is described by a fractional derivative of the order $0<{\alpha}<1$ which can be both irrational number and rational number. The new approach combines the fractional Green's function and Laplace transform of fractional derivative. Analytical examples of dynamic system under general forcing conditions obtained by means of this approach verify the feasibility very well with much higher reliability and universality.

  • In this paper, a boundary version of the Schwarz lemma for the holom- rophic function satisfying f(a) = b, |a| < 1, b ∈ ℂ and ℜf(z) > α, 0 ≤ α < |b| for |z| < 1 is invetigated. Also, we estimate a modulus of the angular derivative of f(z) function at the boundary point c with ℜf(c) = a. The sharpness of these inequalities is also proved.

  • Using the Binet's formula, we show that the quotient related ratio $l_{1(x)}\;\neq\;0$ for the eventually periodic continued fraction x. Using this ratio, we also show that the derivative of the Minkowski question mark function at the simple periodic continued fraction is infinite or 0. In particular, $l_1({[\bar{1}]})$ = 2 log $\gamma$ where $\gamma$ is the golden mean $(1+\sqrt{5})/2$ and the derivative of the Minkowski question mark function at the simple periodic continued fraction $[\bar{1}]$ is infinite.

  • We compute the holomorphic derivative of the harmonic measure associated to a $C^\infty$bounded domain in the plane and show that the exact Bergman kernel function associated to a $C^\infty$ bounded domain in the plane relates the derivatives of the Ahlfors map and the Szego kernel in an explicit way. We find several formulas for the exact Bergman kernel and the Szego kernel and the harmonic measure. Finally we survey some other properties of the holomorphic derivative of the harmonic measure.
