Purpose: In order to increase competitiveness for the growth and development of the dental laboratory industry, we plan to develop the dental laboratory industry. Methods: A total of 547 questionnaires were used as the final analysis data for the dental technicians from all over country participated in the 51st Korea Dental Technology Expo & Scientific Conference of the Korean Dental Technologist Association held in KINTEX from July 18 to 19, 2015. The questionnaire items consisted of 28 items in terms of general characteristics, questions about the methods to be pursued for the development of the dental laboratory industry, and recognition about the methods to be pursued to develop the dental laboratory industry. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS Ver. 21.0 for windows. Results: To improve the dental laboratory industry, actualization of dental laboratory products fee(41.2%) had the highest, followed by improving treatment of dental technician, standardization of dental laboratory products, direct bill of medical insurance, regulation of contract management on huge capital, and etc. The recognition of the measures to be pursued for the development of the dental laboratory industry was that dental laboratory products fee required to receive more than 20% of the dental prosthesis fee highest($4.62{\pm}0.76$). And to enlarge dental laboratories through M&A between dental laboratories is the lowest($3.39{\pm}1.26$). Conclusion: As a means to pursue the development of the dental laboratory industry, the actualization of dental laboratory products fee was proposed. Recognition also showed that dental laboratory products fee required to receive more than 20% of dental prosthesis fee was the highest. It is important to propose a reasonable dental laboratory products fee because it recognizes that it is necessary to promote economic growth in both development plan and awareness.

In Korea, the technique of dental materials industry is low status. Then, special items income advanced countries. But advanced countries had been developed dental materials industry into high beneficial. Otherwise, Daegu Kyungbuk have several good points in dental materials industry. 1st, national dentisty university and three dental lab. college supplies abilitable human resources. 2nd, the possibility of support on basic industrial technology. Finally, the possibility of selection & attraction from many dental company. Then if Daegu Kyungbuk would be select & supported of dental materials Industrial special region, it can be think that will empower local economy, further national constitutional power. So we propose following three points, 1st. the deeper study on righteous of Daegu Kyungbuk dental materials industrial specialization. 2nd. investment on R & D of the region dental materials industrial. final, the support of venture circle.

FDI World Dental Federation is organization representing more than one million dentists worldwide with its more than 100 years of long history. Now FDI headquarter is located in Geneve, Switzerland and serves for developing health policy and continuing education programs, speaking as a unified voice for dentistry in international advocacy and supporting member association in oral health promotion activities worldwide. Korean Dental Association has been a member of FDI since 1959 and participated actively in the FDI's worldwide activities. Past Dr. Heung-Ryul Yoon was a president of FDI from 2003 for 2 years and we also have an experience in 1997 of hosting FDI Annual World Dental Congress successively in Seoul. The image of a country reflects the country's culture as well as affects to its economical and social development and it decides the national brand toward the world. Currently, Korean people realized that and put their efforts for promoting diverse aspects of Korea to the world such as multimedia culture called Han-Ryu, electric industry, automotive industry, sports represented by soccer. We have advanced technique and skill in various fields and now it's time to show ourself better to the world. It's same to the dentistry. It's true that Korean dentistry is top-class in the world and the dental industry is prosperous and also has best technique in the world. I think and strongly hope that the 2013 FDI Seoul Annual World Dental Congress would be best opportunity for Korean dentistry and dental industry to promote ourselves and make a big step to the world. Not only for the dentistry, it will also be very good chance to all the Korean people to improve Korean national brand. I believe that we can accomplish if we, all dental societies, stand together and join our effort to use this good chance the best. I know we can make it.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to examine the recognition and needs on the national health insurance coverage of scaling in industry accident injury patients. National health insurance coverage of dental scaling will start in September, 2013. Methods : Subjects were 649 industrial injury patients and they completed self-reported questionnaire. Data were analysed using SPSS version 20.0 for percentage, chi-square test, t-test, ANOVA, post-hoc Scheffe test, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results : Recognition on national health insurance coverage of dental scaling was not fully known to industrial injury patients (24.5%). Highly educated and high income workers seemed to recognize national health insurance coverage of dental scaling (p<.001). Recognition for national health insurance coverage of dental scaling revealed a significance (r=.576, p<.001). Most of the industrial injury workers thought that 50,000 to 100,000 Korean Won of dental scaling fee is reasonable. The coverage of dental scaling should be more than twice over 20 years old. Conclusions : It is necessary to encourage the patients to take regular dental scaling checkup and make them know the health insurance coverage of scaling. The preventive oral health care may improve oral health care and quality of life.

Purpose: This study aims to provide basic data for developing and improving a nationwide curriculum for advanced courses in dental technology departments. Methods: For the study, the 2021 academic curricula for all six universities with operating departments for advanced study of dental technology were investigated from November 18 to December 10, 2021. If a curriculum was not available for analysis on the university's website, it was obtained via e-mail or phone and then analyzed. Results: The curricula offered advanced courses in a range of 7~14 subjects, with an average of 9.7 subjects. The total number of credits ranged 20~33, and the average for all universities was 25.2. Among the total subjects opened, digital-related subjects comprised the largest proportion at 26.2%, followed by other major-related subjects (e.g., dental techniques, occlusion, and implants) and other liberal arts subjects. Conclusion: The study revealed that the curricula for bachelor's-level dental technology course at universities adequately reflect the industry demand. In the future, university leaders must maintain ongoing collaboration and consultation with industry experts with regard to school curricula for analyzing the education demand and industry prospects, including careers.

The purpose of this study is to understand the present conditions and problems of the joint education between industry and the academic world in the field of dental technology which were identified by the department of dental technology with the related industries and to meet their expectations for the cooperative education. The results of this study will be able to be furnished as basic data in deciding the direction of policy toward skillful dental technicians with a view to improving job employment rate of college graduates. The questionnaires for data were done by the dental technicians working in Daegu City and Kyeongbuk Province and students studying at the department of dental technology, Daegu Health College. The questionnaires of this study were processed by SPSS program. We could confirm through the investigation that on-the-job training as one of the joint policies between industry and the academic world is closely related to all the college education and that the results of on-the-job training can be expected under the close cooperation and the complementary relationship between industry and the academic world. Therefore, this study indicates the directions of policy toward skillful technicians through the cooperation between industry and the academic world as follows : 1. The cooperative systems among industry, academic world, and government are needed for the improvement of efficient job employment rate. The continuous training programs are needed to be built up for the maintenance and development of the technicians'specialty after employment. 2. The all-in-one educational programs both education and employment are needed for the on-the-job training through the cooperation between industry and the academic world, and the activation of the organizations which fully operate them is also needed. That's because the sufficient on-the-job training as one of the joint policies between industry and the academic world and the education of the whole man and the improvement of sociality for the expectant graduates in the academic world can be the methods which reduce the jobless rate and the job-change rate.

Purpose: The main purposes of this study are to describe the organization effectiveness and to investigate the effects of dental technicians' work ethic on job satisfaction, organization citizen's action, and organizational commitment. Methods: A total of 300 dental technicians working at dental laboratories in the Daegu area were randomly selected and surveyed, 298 of them were used for the statistical analysis. Results: The work ethic sub-items, such as industry, work centrality, morality, time save, independence, and relation with co-worker are independent variables. The organization effectiveness subi-items, such as job satisfaction, organization citizen's action, and organizational commitment are dependent variables. Sociodemographic variables are used for control variables. Findings are as follows: First, in terms of dental technicians' work ethic, the level of relation with coworker was the highest, and work centrality was the lowest. Second, in terms of dental technicians' organization effectiveness, the level of citizen's organizational action was the highest followed by organizational commitment and job satisfaction in order. Third, the effects of industry, work centrality, time save, relation with coworker, and morality showed statistically significant relationships with organizational effectiveness. Fourth, the effects of industry, work centrality, time save, relation with co-worker, and morality statistically significant relationships with job satisfaction. Fifth, in terms of organization citizen's action, the effects of industry, work centrality, and time save were statistically significant. Sixth, work centrality, time save, relation with coworker, and independence were statistically significant with organizational commitment. Conclusion: Some policy implications for the improvement of organizational effectiveness are introduced and discussed. Dental technicians are required to have vocation and work ethic for themselves and the organization, and by doing so, they may contribute to the improvement of national oral health. Policies and educational programs, which can support them may be necessary.

This study was conducted on 54 freshmen of the department of dental technology in D University to examine the effect of dental morphological practice mobile application utilization on the students' perception of class and satisfaction with learning. Major results of the study showed that satisfaction and utility towards functions of mobile application strengthened positive perception of dental morphology class, leading to improvement of satisfaction with learning, which suggested that functional convenience and utility in the use of applications were the effective factors for increasing the satisfaction with learning. Those results need to be given important consideration in designing the class using the mobile applications.

Tested the flexural strength and maximum load of two types of dental 3 D printed temporary tooth materials of the DLP method. The average flexural strength was 206.98 MPa in the test group and 139.77 MPa in the control group. The average flexural strength of the experimental group was 67.21 MPa higher than that of the control group. In the maximum load experiment, an average of 44.16N in the experimental group and 37.31N in the control group were measured. The average value of 6.85N was higher in the experimental group, and the durability of the artificial tooth restoration was improved.

Policy of for-profit hospitals permission has provoked debate on how to enhance health care system and medical service industry. The government says that for-profit hospitals could help improve the quality of medical care and develop medical tourism. On the other hand, Medical care related NGO insist that for-profit hospitals will not fix the existing medical problems in Korea, only create new ones. Recently, a type of for-profit hospitals emerged in dentistry and caused much trouble. Accordingly, We try to carefully look at for-profit hospitals related policy and debate.
