  • This study aims to derive suggestions to help develop Hanbok education in the future by examining its current status in domestic educational institutions in light of rising social demand for Hanbok in the era of fashion Hanbok. We assessed the Hanbok curriculum in educational institutions nationwide, including universities and specialized institutes, and conducted in-depth interviews to understand the operational status of Hanbok-specialized education. We found that the demand for education on production functions is decreasing, while the demand for in-depth education on the history of Korean costume and education integrating Hanbok with design and marketing is increasing. We also found that, in the case of universities, which play an important role in Hanbok research and education, professional research and training are shrinking in graduate schools, whereas Hanbok subjects are being maintained and new subjects are being taught in undergraduate courses. In the fashion Hanbok era, it has been suggested that Hanbok education needs to converge with design and marketing education, beyond teaching only Hanbok. In addition, the necessity of expanding liberal arts education within universities to meet social demand was proposed, and online education was expected to help spread knowledge.

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine how demand for labor affects the job seeker's decision on the level of investment in education. In the current paradigm of economic growth in which innovations and technological developments generally weaken the strength demand for labor and increases the uncertainty related to employment, this paper provides a theoretical framework that can be used as a basic framework in understanding the decision of investment in education in varying conditions of demand for labor. The following are the findings of this paper. First, the level of investment in education can generally be regarded to be higher as the demand for labor exacerbates but for the job seekers with a certain characteristic. Second, the Arrow-Pratt absolute risk-aversion measure is the characteristic of the job seeker that determines in what direction the job seeker changes in the level of investment in education, For an arbitrary level of demand for labor there exists a certain threshold which determines the minimum degree of risk-aversion required for the job seeker's Arrow-Pratt should go over to increase the level of education as demand for labor weakens. Third, the job seekers lower the level of education even though the demand condition in labor markets weakens if the compensation function does not depend on the level of education. This is surprising because it turns out that one of the reasons why job seekers invest in education is that they want to be recognized in their compensation for their level of education even when more education still raises the probability of employment.

EOD system is based on meta information expressed in XML and component technology. Overall system consists of authoring tool. contents server, learning policy system and contents viewer. which are utilized throughout the learning contents life-cycle. EOD system enables automated contents management using meta information exchange methodology that is conformant to the SCORM meta data presentation scheme. In addition, integrated management of interaction and feedback information along with the learning policy system provides customized learning guide for each individual learner. With the development of EOD system, this paper discusses about advanced on-line education system which surpasses existing content-providing-only systems.
