Multipath routing technique is recognized as one of the effective approaches to improve the reliability of data forwarding. However, the traditional multipath routing focuses only on how many paths are needed to ensure a desired reliability. For this purpose, the protocols construct additional paths and thus cause significant energy consumption. These problems have motivated the study for the energy-efficient and reliable data forwarding. Thus, this paper proposes an energy-efficient concurrent multipath routing protocol with a small number of paths based on interaction between paths. The interaction between paths helps to reinforce the multipath reliability by making efficient use of resources. The protocol selects several nodes located in the radio overlapped area between a pair of paths as bridge nodes for the path-interaction. In order to operate the bridge node efficiently, when the transmission failure has detected by overhearing at each path, it performs recovery transmission to recover the path failure. Simulation results show that proposed protocol is superior to the existing multipath protocols in terms of energy consumption and delivery reliability.

In this paper, We propose a transaction signing-based authentication scheme for protecting sinkhole attacks in wireless sensor networks. Sinkhole attack makes packets that flow network pass through attacker. So, Sinkhole attack can be extended to various kind of attacks such as denial of service attacks, selective delivery or data tamper etc. We analyze sinkhole attack methods in directed diffusion based wireless sensor networks. For the purpose of response to attack method, Transaction signing-based authentication scheme is proposed. This scheme can work for those sensor networks which use directed diffusion based wireless sensor networks. The validity of proposed scheme is provided by BAN logic.

The emergence of the Internet has provided a new outlet for consumers who experience service failure from products and services, augmenting the traditional options of entry, voice and action. Consumers' negative word of mouth through online (word-of-mouse or eWOM) far exceeds traditional word of mouth (WOM) in respect of its potential effectiveness, speed and spread. This paper tries to figure out the service failure themes in the health care industry by analyzing online word-of-mouse using the critical incidents technique (CIT). Complaint themes in the area of healthcare are identified and analyzed. The results identify that major complaint theme differed according to the site type. Also, the findings indicate that delivery and customer services are critical issues when consumer makes negative WOM.

The rise in population and the increase of urbanization and industrial growth has resulted in an ever-increasing volume of municipal solid waste that must be regularly collected, transported, and ultimately disposed of. Therefore, over the last decade the public, commercial and legislative awareness of environmental issues has been increased dramatically on earth particularly some industrial countries which has a shortage of landfill capacity. A quality, cost and delivery lead-time are usually considered as the competitive factors for each industry. However, the concepts of environmental issue are emerging common terms and concerns more seriously. More attention than ever is being focused on the recycling and source reduction techniques to reduce the total volume of waste. Unfortunately, however, a shortage of landfill capacity and increasing disposal cost requests a fundamental solution about the environmental issue. That is the remanufacturing which allow manufacturers to minimize waste, production cost and to turn end-of-life product into a profitable product. The objectives of this research were to growth the remanufacturing system by suggesting issues and implementation methods for the remanufacturing. In order to accomplish these objectives, we introduced backgrounds of appearance and benefits of the remanufacturing.

By analyzing five in-depth case studies of suppliers in newly emerging Vietnam's motorcycle industry, this paper explores the differences in patterns and processes of capability improvement of suppliers who participate in different kinds of supplier-assembler network with different structures. The paper finds the correlation between the kinds of suppliers' capabilities improved and the structure of networks they participate in. While suppliers in arm-length networks can improve more upstream capabilities (structure design, process desist), suppliers in embedded networks can improve more downstream capabilities (process design, process setup, process maintenance and delivery control). Two capability improvement patterns of firms in newly emerging economy are indicated. The first pattern is asymmetrical improvement, either upstream or downstream capabilities, by participating in either arm-length or embedded networks. This pattern obstructs the suppliers to meet the requirements of new buyers rho come from different kinds of network. The second pattern is symmetrical improvement by joining both arm-length and embedded networks.

In this study, we deal a spatial scheduling system for the block painting process in the shipbuilding industry. In general, the spatial scheduling for the block painting process is a very complicated task. Because spatial allocation of each block in blasting and painting cells is considered simultaneously. Thus the spatial scheduling for the block painting process is the problem of planning and control of operation, which arises in shipyard. This system is developed for blocks to meet the delivery date given by the shipyard production planning system, to maximize space utilization of blasting and painting cells and to balance workload among working teams. And it has been tested using actual scheduling data from a shipyard and successfully applied in a paint shop in a shipbuilding company.

The goal of this article is to stress the importance of good quality in telecommunication services and to introduce two basic concepts on the service quality in the telecommunication industry: QoS(Quality of Service) and NP(Network Performance) Based on these notions, presented is an integrated scheme for quality improvement in telecommunication services. Tn particular , proposed with this framework Is an efficient and effective establishment of a balanced set of parameters for continuous monitoring and correct ions of service performance.

This study aims to explore the service activities in the aircraft cabin service, develop the service process structure, and design a more efficient service delivery system in Korean airline industry. We prepare the architectural drawings of the basic components in providing the cabin service using the service blueprint technique and service process perspective. Through the case study largely based on our own research and long-time work experiences in the airline industry, we propose service failure points as well as customer waiting points. This study will be helpful for managers at all levels to use the service blueprint strategically or at a shop-floor level and improve their cabin service quality.

The recent interest in sensor networks has led to a number of routing schemes that use the limited resources available at sensor nodes more efficiently. These schemes typically try to find the minimum energy path to optimize energy usage at a node. Some schemes, however, are prone to unbalance of the traffic and energy. To solve this problem, we propose a novel solution: a gradient-field approach which takes account of the minimum cost data delivery, energy consumption balancing, and traffic equalization. We also modify the backoff-based cost field setup algorithm to establish our gradient-field based sensor network and give the algorithm. Simulation results show that the overhead of routing establishment obtained by our algorithm is much less than the one obtained by Flooding. What's more, our approach guarantees the basic Quality of Service (QoS) without extra spending.

The User Interface (UI) in the company is more important than ever. But the application of UI for the industry use is restricted by various constraints such as delivery, technical limitation, etc. User Interface designers in the company have thought how to set up the UI organization, how to define identity and goal, how to communicate with other teams, what is the best UI process, and many other issues. In this paper, the author discuss the practical issues arisen when User Interface organization is formed and managed based on the mobile phone manufacture's perspective. The pros and cons of location of UI organization, advanced UI organization, UI member formation, UI role, UI output, UI evaluation, and understanding of UI in the society and company are discussed. This discussion will help UI designers in industry to set up and manage UI organization.
