User Authentication Protocol through Distributed Process for Cloud Environment (클라우드 환경을 위한 분산 처리 사용자 인증 프로토콜)

  • Cloud computing that provides IT service and computer resource based on internet is now getting attention. However, the encrypted data can be exposed because it is saved in cloud server, even though it is saved as an encrypted data. In this paper, user certification protocol is proposed to prevent from illegally using of secret data by others while user who locates different physical position is providing secret data safely. The proposed protocol uses one way hash function and XOR calculation to get user's certification information which is in server when any user approaches to particular server remotely. Also it solves user security problem of cloud.

  • Digital communication networks have become a core technology in advanced building automation systems. BACnet(${\underline{B}}uilding$ ${\underline{A}}utomation$ and ${\underline{C}}ontrol$ ${\underline{net}}works$) is a standard data communication protocol designed specifically for building automation and control systems. BACnet adopts Master-Slave/Token-Passing (MS/TP) protocol as one of its field level networks. In this study, we introduce a method of implementing bandwidth allocation scheme in the MS/TP protocol. The bandwidth allocation scheme improves the capability of real-time communication of the original MS/TP protocol. The bandwidth allocation scheme introduced in this paper can be easily implemented in the existing MS/TP protocol with a slight modification. In this study, we actually developed the hardware and firmware of MS/TP module in which bandwidth allocation scheme is implemented.

Implementation of CoAP-Lite Protocol over USN

  • It is necessary for developing specific application protocol for mobile sensor end nodes and data collection devices that have constrained resources and computing powers. Because of these needs, IETF WG developed CoAP protocol and Internet draft was released, and processing to international standardization of this protocol. Because sensor nodes and information collection devices have restricted resources and computing powers, there are some limitations for applying to this proposed protocol directly. Thus in this paper we shows the implementation of full CoAP protocol for server, works on Linux and CoAP-Lite over telos which works on TinyOS for information collection devices. In this implementation we verified the main activities of CoAP protocol over USN by modifying some hardware with dependent algorithm.

Tone Dual-Channel MAC Protocol with Directional Antennas for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks

  • The directional medium access control (MAC) protocol improves the throughput of mobile ad hoc networks but has a deafness problem and requires location information for neighboring nodes. In the dual-channel directional MAC protocol [12], the use of omnidirectional packets does not require the exact location of destination node. In this letter, we propose a tone dual-channel MAC protocol with directional antennas to improve the throughput of mobile ad hoc networks. In the proposed MAC protocol, we use a directional CTS and an out-of-band directional DATA tone with a new blocking algorithm to improve the spatial reuse. We confirm the throughput performance of the proposed MAC protocol by computer simulations using the Qualnet simulator.

  • In this paper, we propose a new communication protocol for remote metering in electric power meters, also define necessary functions for it. The new protocol is based on the international metering protocol. IEC 1107, 62056, DNP 3.0. This protocol has 4-layered architecture, which has physical. data link, lower application, and upper application layers. For each layer, definitions and detailed functions are introduced. The protocol will be used for communication between the meters and the metering computer(or AMR system). KEPCO (Korea Electric Power Corporation) plans to adopt this protocol as a part of a new metering standard for electric power meters.

Design of Multi-protocol IED for Networked Control System of Multi-Induction Motor in Industrial Fields

  • This paper proposes a new design and implementation of multi-protocol IED for networked control system of multi-induction motor in industrial fields. The experimental multi-induction motor based multi-protocol IED of Modbus/LonTalks/TCP/IP module is designed and fabricated. This article addresses issues in architecture of LonWorks/Ethernet sever, embedded processors architecture for converting Modbus protocol to LonTalks protocol, integrating preconfigured software, and Internet technologies. It is also verified that the multi-induction motor control and monitoring system using LonWorks/Ethernet server have available, interoperable, reliable performance characteristics from the experimental results, especially, the seamless integration of TCP/IP networks with control networks allows access to any control point from anywhere. Thus, the results provide available technical data for remote distributed motor control system of industrial field or building microgrid with LonWorks BAS.

  • ITU-T recommends T.120 for multimedia conferencing data protocols. In this paper, generic model of application protocols is shown for guaranteeting internetworking between application protocols in application users. And using generic conference control and multipoint communication service, multipoint binary file transfer application protocol is shown throughout application protocol generic model on public session environment.

  • The decode-and-forward cooperative communication protocol allows single-antenna users in wireless environments to obtain the powerful benefits of multi-antenna systems without the need for physical arrays. Evaluating the performance of this protocol through simulations is time-consuming and therefore, a need exists for an analytical BER expression to serve as a reference. This paper proposed such an expression for coherently BPSK-modulated data.

  • The FAS protocol of FOUNDATION Fieldbus playes the roles of interface between Data Link Layer and application layer and establishment of connection between receiver and sender. In this study, the FAS protocol of FOUNDATION Fieldbus was developed. The method of implementation is described in this paper. Software of FAS protocol was implemented by Window-based program and DOS-based program for PC and sensor module, respectively.
