As global supply chain risks proliferate unpredictably, the high interdependence of port and logistics industry intensifies the risk burden. This study conducted fundamental research to explore diverse safety issues in domestic ports. Utilizing news article data about Busan Port, we employed LDA topic modeling and time-series linear regression to understand key safety trends. Over the past 30 years, Busan Port faced nine major safety issues-maritime safety, import cargo inspection, labor strikes, and natural disasters emerged cyclically. Major port safety issues in Busan Port are primarily characterized by an unpredictable nature, falling under socio-environmental and natural phenomena types, indicating a significant impact of global uncertainty. Therefore, systematic policies need to be formulated based on identified port safety issues to enhance port safety in Busan Port. Additionally, there is a need to strengthen the resilience of port safety for unpredictable risk situations. In conclusion, advanced research activities are necessary to promote port safety enhancement in response to dynamically changing social conditions.

Currently, South Korea is grappling with a paradoxical situation characterized by simultaneous labor shortages and job shortages. Within this context, retirees are citing conflicts with supervisors/colleagues and dissatisfaction with organizational culture as the primary reasons for their departure, with these issues disproportionately affecting the MZ generation. In response, scholars have conducted preliminary studies to understand the relationships between organizational culture and other variables specifically concerning the MZ generation. However, most of these studies are based on a unified theory of the MZ generation, failing to satisfy the practical demands for distinguishing between Generations M and Z. Therefore, this research aims to explore the differences in variable relationships between these two groups within the hospitality industry. Surveys were conducted among 170 individuals from Generation M and 110 from Generation Z, and the data were analyzed using AMOS structural equation modeling. The analysis confirmed that both hierarchical culture and generational conflict significantly define relationships across all generations, with generational conflict adversely affecting organizational commitment. Additionally, while a relationship-oriented culture negatively impacts generational conflict for Generation M, no such effect was observed for Generation Z. This study successfully identifies the differential impacts between Generation M and Generation Z.

This study purports to identify the factors that contribute to the classification of age groups or generations of Koreans. Independent variables such as respondents' attitudes toward welfare, attitudes toward equity, education level, perception of inequality in Korean society, tax awareness, and health status are included in the model that were put into the analysis with the main interest. Since this study does not construct any hypothesis prior to analysis, the nature of this study can be said exploratory. The data utilized for the analysis are from the 17th year of the Korean Welfare Panel collected in 2022, and a linear discrimination analysis technique will be used. First and foremost, a theoretical review of the generational classification will be conducted through domestic and international literature in the past. To date, there is no quantitative studies in Korea that have a significant influence on the generational classification. Therefore, in this study, a theoretical review of political tendencies and values, which are estimated to have a significant influence on the generational classification, that is, the difference between generations, will be significant. The perception and attitude toward welfare will be discussed in the review of values. Next, analysis models, analysis techniques, and variables to be used in the analysis will be introduced. After

Background: This study focused on reproductive traits in Hanwoo cattle, specifically the environmental factors affecting gestation length and birth weight. Methods: The records of 1,540 cows calved at the Hanwoo Research Institute from 2015 to 2023 were examined. This study analyzed two populations, line-breeding Hanwoo (LBH) and general Hanwoo (GH), with all cows undergoing estrus synchronization and artificial insemination. The R software was used to compare the differences between the two populations and analyze the environmental factors affecting each trait. Results: The results showed that the average gestation length for LBH was 283.28 ± 5.93 days, which was significantly shorter than that of the GH, which had an average of 285.63 ± 6.21 days (p < 0.001). The average birth weight of LBH calves was 25.10 ± 3.69 kg, significantly lighter than GH calves, which weighed 27.26 ± 4.11 kg on average (p < 0.001). Analysis of environmental factors revealed significant differences in the gestation length of LBH based on dam parity, year, and season of calving. However, no significant differences were observed based on calf sex. For LBH, birth weight showed significant differences based on dam parity, year of calving, and sex of the calf, but not the season of calving. In GH, gestation length varied with dam parity and calving season, but not with calving year or calf sex. The GH birth weight showed differences based on dam parity, year of calving, and calf sex, but not the season of calving. Conclusions: Reproductive traits in the Hanwoo cattle industry are economically vital but are heavily influenced by environmental factors due to their low heritability. An accurate evaluation of the genetic potential of these traits requires an analysis of the environmental factors affecting them. The results of this study serve as foundational data for predicting the potential for genetic improvement in the gestation length and birth weight of Hanwoo cattle.

The aim of this study is to identify the competencies required for fashion-related majors that meet contemporary demands, align with the objectives of university education, and reflect the qualities desired in graduates. To achieve this goal, we conducted content analysis of relevant data and in-depth interviews with experts. First, the content analysis involved coding key information from the introductions, educational goals, desired qualities of graduates, and curricula published on the websites of both South Korea and international fashion-related universities. Additionally, we analyzed the National Competency Standards (NCS) and the Meta-goals of higher education programs set by the International Textile Apparel Association (ITAA), extracting six core competencies. Second, in-depth interviews were conducted with six experts, each with 23 to 31 years of experience in Korean and international apparel industry and academia. The interviews were recorded, transcribed, and keywords were extracted. To ensure the validity of the coding results, cross-checks were performed among the researchers. The analysis identified the following competencies: empathic communication, social responsibility, professional thinking, creative and integrative thinking, global perspective, and challenging leadership. Based on these findings, establishing competencies that meet contemporary demands and developing corresponding curricula are essential steps towards creating a feedback system. Future research should focus on developing and implementing curricula that foster a virtuous cycle, ultimately enhancing students' competency levels.
The purpose of this study was to develop a program to prevent recurrence, focusing on cognitive and behavioral factors to reduce gambling game behavior in children, and to verify the effectiveness to analyze basic data necessary for prevention education. Eight children in the 4th to 6th grades of male students were selected, an experiment and control group were formed, and the effectiveness was verified only after 3 months after the experimental group was conducted once a week. First, irrational gambling beliefs, the level of gambling problems, automatic thinking for children, and the level of gambling problems were reduced through cognitive behavior therapy programs to reduce gambling game behavior in children. Changes in maladaptive thinking that directly affect gambling game behavior instilled awareness of gambling game behavior. Second, self-control and impulsiveness, the behavioral variables, did not show any significant difference, but decreased in the overall average. Changes in cognitive variables influenced behavioral variables. Third, it was found to continue even 3 months after the end of the program. Changes in cognitive and behavioral variables later reduced children's gambling game behavior and helped school life and peer relationships through adaptive thinking.
The purpose of this study is to improve welfare services for the socially underprivileged, the disabled, by improving and streamlining the work environment of workers at day care facilities for the disabled. The research question consisted of three issues: conflict between employees, psychological exhaustion, and growth factors experienced as a Christian worker at a day care facility for the disabled. As a research method, from January 2024 to April 2024, 10 Christian workers working at a day care facility for the disabled were interviewed and collected facts about their experiences during the work process using Colaizzi's phenomenological research method. analyzed. According to the research results, the psychological processes experienced by workers are, first, 'conflict' between internal workers in the experience at a day care facility for the disabled, and second, exhaustion, such as symptoms of emotional exhaustion, dehumanization, and decreased sense of accomplishment, experienced by workers in 'burnout'. It was a traumatic experience. Third, in 'growth', workers overcame internal conflict and psychological exhaustion through spirituality and experienced growth with a sense of stability. This study is expected to provide useful data to improve the morale and work environment of workers at day care facilities for the disabled in the future.

As a follow up for this study, it would be necessary to set up an overall model for the standard of service assessment established in this study.
The port industry has been actively adopting Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, leading to transformations in port infrastructure, such as automated and smart ports. While these changes have improved port efficiency, they have also increased the potential for Cyber Security incidents, including data leaks and disruptions in terminal operations due to ransomware attacks. Recognizing the need to prioritize Cyber Security measures, a study was conducted, focusing on Busan Port's rapidly automating container terminal in South Korea. The results of the Eisenhower Matrix analysis identified legal and regulatory factors as a top priority in the first quadrant, with educational systems, workforce development, network infrastructure, and policy support in the third quadrant. Subsequently, a Borich Needs Analysis revealed that the highest priority was given to legal improvements in security management systems, while the development of Cyber Security professionals ranked lowest. This study provides foundational research for enhancing Cyber Security in domestic container terminals and offers valuable insights into their future direction.
As global challenges, particularly climate change, become more pressing, there is a growing global awareness of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management. Given the crucial role played by the logistics industry in the complex network of the global supply chain, various societal stakeholders are emphasizing the necessity for logistics entities to practice ESG management. Despite the comprehensive ESG guidelines established by Korea for all enterprises, a notable limitation arises from its inadequate consideration of the distinctive features inherent to logistics enterprises, especially those of a smaller and medium scale. Accordingly, this study conducts a thorough examination of existing ESG guidelines, sustainable management approaches in large-scale logistics enterprises, and prior research to identify potential ESG management diagnostic criteria relevant to small and medium-sized logistics enterprises, including aspects such as Public(P), Environmental(E), Social(S), and Governance(G). To streamline the diagnostic criteria, taking into account the unique characteristics of small and medium-sized logistics enterprises, this study conducts a survey involving 60 logistics company personnel and experts from academic and research domains. The collected data undergoes Principal Component Analysis (PCA), revealing that the four dimensions of information disclosure can be consolidated into a single dimension. Additionally, environmental criteria reduce from 16 to 3 items, societal considerations decrease from 22 to 7 items, and governance structures distill from 20 to 5 items. This empirical endeavor is deemed significant in presenting tailored ESG management diagnostic criteria aligned with the specificities of small and medium-sized logistics enterprises. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a foundational resource for the development of guidelines by relevant entities, promoting the wider adoption of ESG management practices in the sphere of small and medium-sized logistics enterprises in the near future. population coming from areas other than Gwangyang, where Gwangyang Port is located.
