  • Today, management object using SNMP is not only covered network but also more privacy object like personal or billing data. To enforce security management, view-based access control model is introduced in SNMPv3. However, they are not designed to enforce more privacy object such as purpose and increase complexity of user management. Task-based access control can provide enhanced security service using purpose binding and leverage the complexity of user management using purpose of task.

  • In this paper, we propose a data encoding algorithm for two-dimensional barcode system. In general, one-dimensional barcode is just a key which can access detailed information to the host computer database. But the two-dimensional barcode is a new technology which can obtain high density information without access to the host computer database. We implemented encoding algorithm for Data Matrix Barcode which is the most widely used among the many kind of two-dimensional barcodes. And we marked to a real object using Digital Signal Processor(DSP) Marking System. The performance of proposed algorithm is verified through the result of marking work.

Efficient Management of Proxy Server Cache for Video (비디오를 위한 효율적인 프록시 서버 캐쉬의 관리)

  • Because of explosive growth in demand for web-based multimedia applications, proper proxy caching for large multimedia object (especially video) has become needed. For a video object which is much larger in size and has different access characteristics than the traditional web object such as image and text, caching the whole video file as a single web object is not efficient for the proxy cache. In this paper, we propose a proxy caching strategy with the constant-sized segment for video file and an improved proxy cache replacement policy. Through the event-driven simulation under various conditions, we show that our proposal is more efficient than the variable-sized segment strategy which has been proven to have higher hit ratio than other traditional proxy cache strategies.

  • In this paper, we proposed a Proactive Application Service Engine (PASE) supporting tailor-made distributed application services based on the Distributed Object Group Framework (DOGF) efficiently managing distributed objects, in the viewpoint of distributed application, composed application on network. The PASE consists of 3 layers which are the physical layer, the middleware layer, and the application layer. With the supporting services of the PASE, the grouping service manages the data gathered from H/W devices and the object's properties for application by user's request as a group. And the security service manages the access of gathered data and the object according to user's right. The data filtering service executes the filtering function to provide application with gathered data. The statistics service analysis past data. The diagnostic service diagnoses a present condition by using the gathered data. And the prediction service predicts a future's status based on the statistics service and the diagnostic service. For verifying the executability of the PASE's services, we applied to a greenhouse automatic control application in ubiquitous agriculture field.

  • The augmented reality (AR) has recently became an attractive technology in construction industry, which can play a critical role in realizing smart construction concepts. The AR has a great potential to help construction workers access digitalized information about design and construction more flexibly and efficiently. Though several AR applications have been introduced for on-site made to enhance on-site and off-site tasks, few are utilized in actual construction fields. This paper proposes a new AR framework that provides on-site managers with an opportunity to easily access the information about construction resources such as workers and equipment. The framework records videos with the camera installed on a wearable AR device and streams the video in a server equipped with high-performance processors, which runs an object detection algorithm on the streamed video in real time. The detection results are sent back to the AR device so that menu buttons are visualized on the detected objects in the user's view. A user is allowed to access the information about a worker or equipment appeared in one's view, by touching the menu button visualized on the resource. This paper details implementing parts of the framework, which requires the data transmission between the AR device and the server. It also discusses thoroughly about accompanied issues and the feasibility of the proposed framework.

  • Football (soccer) is one of the most popular sports in the world. A huge number of people watch live football matches by TV or Internet. A football match takes 90 minutes, but viewers may only want to watch a few highlights to save their time. As far as we know, there is no such a product that can be put into use to achieve intelligent highlight extraction from live football matches. In this paper, we propose an intelligent editing system for live football matches. Our system can automatically extract a series of highlights, such as goal, shoot, corner kick, red yellow card and the appearance of star players, from the live stream of a football match. Our system has been integrated into live streaming platforms during the 2018 FIFA World Cup and performed fairly well.

About Object VR technology until present, they provided a cube access way, then observer can see object up, down, left, right side and zoom-in, zoom-out, but there is a fact that up-and-down expression is distorted or shows shortcoming that is not expressed by limited situation of manufacture way in Panorama VR's expression. Therefore, in this research, we examine the shortcoming that do not become top-and-bottom expression through basic concept of Panorama and Panorama VR manufacture process and do to propose cube type of new data format that permit up-and-down expression as a real world and compose Panorama VR space.

Augmented Reality Framework for Data Visualization Based on Object Detection and Digital Twins

  • While pursuing digitalization and paperless projects, the construction industry needs to settle on how to make the most of digitized data and information. On-site workers, who currently rely on paper documents to check and review design and construction plans, will need alternative ways to efficiently access the information without using any paper. Augmented Reality is a potential solution where the information customized to a user is aligned with the physical world. This paper proposes the Augmented Reality framework to deliver the information on on-site resources (e.g., workers and equipment) using head-mounted devices. The proposed framework was developed by interoperating Augmented Reality-supported devices and a digital twin platform in which all information related to ongoing tasks is accumulated in real-time. On-site resources appearing in the user's field of view are automatically detected by an object detection algorithm and then assigned to the corresponding information by matching the data in the digital twin platform. Preliminary experiments show the feasibility of the proposed framework. Worker detection results can be visualized on HoloLens 2 in near real-time, and the matching process obtained the accuracy greater than 88%.

A Density-Based K-Nearest Neighbors Search Method

  • Spatial database system provides many query types and most of them are required frequent disk I/O and much CPU time. k-NN search is to find k-th closest object from the query point and up to now, several k-NN search methods have been proposed. Among these, MINMAX distance method has an aim not to visit unnecessary node by applying pruning technique. But this method access more disk than necessary while pruning unnecessary node. In this paper, we propose new k-NN search algorithm based on density of object. With this method, we predict the radius to be expected to contain k-NN object using density of data set and search those objects within this radius and then adjust radius if failed. Experimental results show that this method outperforms the previous MINMAX distance method. This algorithm visit fewer disks than MINMAX method by the factor of maximum $22\%\;and\;average\;6\%.$
