Implementation of DS/SS(FM-DS/SS) system using FM (FM을 이용한 DS/SS(FM-DS/SS) 시스템의 구현)

  • For implementation of FM-DS/SS system. This paper has analyzed SO(Synchronous Oscillator) being oscillated by the motivation of injected signal. Transmitter has adopted FM-DS/SS modulation method using RF output-signal of FM. Receiver is used SO to demodulation of FM-DS/SS and applied sliding correlator for synchronization of PN clock. As a result of the inspection, SO presented stable lock ability in spite of doppler apperance and proved the synchronous properties of it in the FM-DS/SS system.

  • 전력선 채널 잡음은 전력선에 연결되어 있는 전기기기들에 의하여 변화하는 특성을 갖으며, 이러한 잡음 특성을 극복하기 위한 한가지 방법으로 DS/SS 방식을 적용하는 방법이 있다. 그러나 저속 DS/SS 전력선 모뎀의 경우 낮은 데이터전송률 때문에, 잡음 특성을 개선하기 위하여 Chip 수가 큰 PN code를 적용하기 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 전원 전압에 동기되어 잡음의 양이 변화하는 것에 따라 PN code를 변경하는 방법[1]을 적용하고자 하였다. 전력선 채널의 잡음은 비교적 부하가 고정적인 가로등 전력선 채널로 한정하여 잡음을 모델링 하였으며, 전원전압에 맞추어 잡음의 양에 따라 PN code 길이를 변경하는 FSK 방식의 DS/SS 시스템을 구성하여 시뮬레이션 하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 적용된 시스템이 전력선 채널에서 효과적 성능을 발휘함을 확인하였다.

Narrow Band Interference Rejection for Spectrum Overlay Communications (주파수 복수통신을 위한 협대역 간섭신호제거)

  • In this paper we discuss narrow-band interference rejection schemes for spectrum overlay communications where direct sequence spread spectrum (DS/SS) communication system and narrow-band communication systems share the same frequency band. In this case, it is essential to reject the narrow-band signals to guarantee the performance of DS/SS system, while it is not necessarily required to reject the DS/SS signal to recover the narrow-band signal. We discuss several schemes such as time domain processing, frequency domain processing and exploiting the device characteristics to reduce the effect of narrow-band signal on DS/SS communication systems. Furthermore, we suggest a structure of tunable notch filter using gyrator that can easily be customized to ASIC.

  • The existing mobile communication system called DS/CDMA system, which is serviced widely nowadays, has some problems such as the severe ISI and multiple access interferences under the multi-path fading channel when applied to high-speed data transmission like multimedia transmission. To compensate these problems, we propose a sub-code multi-code hybrid DS/FH (Frequency Hopping) SS (Spread Spectrum) System by combining the multi-code system that restrains the multiple access interference with the hybrid DS/FH SS technique that reduces ISI(Intersymbol Interference) effect for high-speed transmission. Moreover, we implement and propose the sub-code technique to remedy the problems of the generic multi-code system. To verify the performance of the proposed system, the computer simulations are executed under the various channel environments.

  • For the purpose of LAN or data transmission line design with high speed and reliability using power lines, in this paper, we present CSK/SS-DS signal transmission characteristics simulations with changing channel characteristics due to impedance fluctuation. And we also simulated the signal transmissions with a strong impulsive burst noise and with a gaussian random noise. We introduce a simple channel equalization filtering method that solves the synchronization problem of CSK/SS-DS with fluctuating channel characteristics or low S/N ratio.

  • This letter proposes a Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DS-SS)-based Flight Termination System(FTS) and show the simulation results and implements the system using FRGAs. The DS-SS FTS has immunity interference signals and the influence of jamming signal. Moreover, a DS-SS FTS can provides effects on an authentication and encryption with spread codes. And the system uses more less power than an analog FM system. We used Reed-Solomon (32, 28) code and triple Data Encryption Standard(3DES) for error correction and data encryption. Also we used counter algorithm for unauthenticated device's attack The spread codes of In-phase channel and Quadrature channel were generated by Gold sequence generators. The system was implemented in Altera APEX20K100E FPGA for the ground system and EPF10K100ARC240-3 for the airborne system.

  • An algorithm for the threshold decision from the maximum mismatching correlation value in a direct-sequence spread-spectrum system is presented. This algorithm is named the TDMMC(Threshold Decision from the Maximum Mismatching Correlation value). The purpose of the algorithm is to set the decision threshold in the system which will provide large probability of signal detection. Using this algorithm, the proper setting of the threshold for various SNRs is possible. An additional block called the Threshold Block is used to improve the system performance. The result from the computer simmulation has shown that appling the TDMMC to the noncoherent DS/SS-CSK system can achieve performance improvement.

  • This paper describes synchronization concept and algorithm of the reverse DS-SS/TDMA control channel to handle satellite terminals which are distributed through the mission area. Military satellite control channel should have ECCM capabilities and handle more than several hundreds satcom terminals simultaneously. DS-SS/TDMA control channel can satisfy these demand but it spend much synchronization time. Proposed algorithm insert the preamble which is divided with several short sub bins prior to control data and use the parallel matched filtering searcher for each sub bin. As a result of the test, proposed algorithm can acquire most of control channel packet successfully within several milliseconds in severe jamming environment.

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 주목을 받고 있는 대역확산 통신방식을 이용한 무선LAN 시스템의 하드웨어 구현에 관해 논한다. 내용으로는 직접확산 (Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DS/SS)) 통신방식을 이용한 무선 LAN 전송부 구조, 디지탈 정합필터를 이용한 역확산 및 비동기 DS/SS 수신기 구조, DBPSK 및 DQPSK 변복조 방식, Timing 및 Clock 복원, 그리고 Carrier Sensing 방식등이 포함된다. 또한 실제 시스템 구현을 위해 필요한 몇가지 변수들에 대해서도 논한다.

  • This paper studied the method to improve the reliability with the simple structure and the decreased calculation of Micro-Controller(uC) in Power Line Modem. We have implementation the program which correct the 1-bit error of the $\mu$C within the control system and the DS/SS(Direct sequence/spread spectrum) by adding the simple circuit between a single chip powerline transceiver IC and a uC.
