  • To begin with, this research arranged this concepts by analyzing paper a reference paper. So, the theory was arranged by approaching the ideal, formative and contemporary side. In order to type characteristics expression of organic design, after year 2000 printed in "Interiors" journal analyzed the contents based on interior works. 1. A type of metaphorical expression, order and the imitations of animals and plants. 2. A type of non liner, and dynamical balance and irregularity. 3. A type of mass of indeterminate form. 4. A type of fluidity by a curved line and a curved surface.

  • A variety of technologies have already been developed to capture energy from the ocean waves, this one is simple to construct. Rather then looking at the surface waves, the technique used lets the waters current beneath the waves directly drive the rotors. The novel ocean wave energy convertor consists of savonius rotor which is mounted in the ocillating water column (OWC) chamber. This study investigates the performance of a 3 blade and 5 bladed savonius rotor under same wave condition using commercial CFD code. Initially the performance analysis of savonius type turbine have been carried out with conventional three bladed curved rotors. From the experieneces of the simulations, 5 bladed savonius rotor have been developed and studied. Performace caracteristics of the 5 bladed savonius rotor has been evaluated and the results obgtained are comopared with the conventional three bladed curved rotors.

  • X-SAR images taken on the coastal waters of Hwanghe province in Korea during SIR-C/X-SAR campaign in April and October 1994 are analysed. The SAR images show the peculiar signatures like nail marks, curved long string, and vortex streets patterns and they all seem to be produced by strong interactions between the topography in the coastal waters and tidal currents. The nail mark signatures are located at the same position of small scaled sand banks and the curved line patterns are almost identical to the outer boundary of large sand banks. Based on the tidal record, all the three images are taken at the almost same phase of tidal cycles, which are close to the low tide. It seems that bottom shapes are more strongly appeared on the SAR images when the tidal currents are slow. The front between two different current velocities caused by the flows along the steep boundaries of sandbanks is also the main factors imprinting the bottom features to the sea surface SAR images

  • Patterns presented at baroque were mostly floral pattern. Abstract anonymous flower, tulip, Acandus leaf, pomegranate were blended with one another and had a distinct leaning toward continuation and repetition. Components of design could be classified into flower and leaf, flower and fruit, flower and circumferential ornament, bunch of flowers, flower and pot, flower and geometry, and flower and animal. Floral patterns in this era were mostly fullness type being large, simple, and having more formalized motive and were fronted with unit type and vine shape. Unit type shows reflection of baroque style which aims to present absolute unification rather than freedom, which was inherent property of baroque style, by using symmetric pattern. Vine type were unfolded with C type curved line which was main characteristics of that time and showed flowage as a whole and pliable beauty. Floral pattern was filled the whole surface of fabric, thus background of fabric can not be discerned. So, it showed extreme decorative tendency and lavishness.

  • In this paper, a nonlinear controller based on adaptive sliding-mode method which has a sliding surface vector including new boundary function is proposed and applied to a two-wheeled voiding mobile robot (WMR). This controller makes the welding point of WMR achieve tracking a reference point which is moving on a smooth curved welding path with a desired constant velocity. The mobile robot is considered in view of a kinematic model and a dynamic model in Cartesian coordinates. The proposed controller can overcome uncertainties and external disturbances by adaptive sliding-mode technique. To design the controller, the tracking error vector is defined, and then the new sliding is proposed to guarantee that the error vector converges to zero asymptotically. The stability of the dynamic system will be shown through the Lyapunov method. The simulations is shown to prove the effectiveness of the proposed controller.

  • We report an optimum fabrication condition for formation of concave lens shaped core cross-section of silica single-mode fibers with hydrofluoric (HF) acid solutions and arc discharge. A desired depth of curved cross-section of the silica fiber core and its surface smoothness were obtained with optimized concentration of the HF solution, etching time, and arc discharge condition.

  • A new efficient intelligent machining strategy named the Steepest Directed Tree method is presented in this study, which makes surface model discrete with triangulation meshes and the cutter paths track along the tree directions. In order to formulate these algorithms practically, it is deduced the multi-stage machining approach of uncut volume caused by cutter gouging in the course of milling using flat end mill. It is systematized the checking process the cutter interference by grouping the 6 kinds of gouging types, which yields the environment of connectivity data lists including CL-data, and then the multi-stage machining strategy, that minimizes uncut area by continuously sequencing the generative subsequent CL-paths, is shamed to determine the second tool path for the next uncut area and to compose the operating multi-stage cutting processes. The completed machining system of curved surfaces is evaluated by testing the practical machining experiments which have various kinds of shape conditions.

  • Hemming, especially curl hemming, is required along the wheel housing for safety. Robot roller hemming is suitable for it. In this paper, both the flat hemming and the curl hemming along either the straight profile or the curved profile are analyzed using finite element program MSC.Marc to verify the hemming test results. Both the inner panel and the outer panel are modeled using 3-D solid elements and the roler is modeled using rigid surface. In the curl hemming, there is a case that the curl is not formed if the pre-hemming force is not sufficient. It agrees with the test results.

  • Forming sheet metal by laser-induced thermal stresses (laser forming) has been extensively studied, and the research has focused on two-dimensional geometries using a multi-pass straight line scan. Recently there came out some useful studies or three-dimensional laser forming which is applied to doubly curved shapes. The task of 3D laser forming sheet metal is to determine a set of process parameters such as laser scanning paths, laser power and scanning speed that will make a given shape. New method for laser forming of a doubly curved surface by using geometrical information was proposed and verified by experiments. This method shows good performance in the sense of calculation time and accuracy compared to the inherent strain method.
