  • The advantage of the squirrel cage induction motor is the brushless rotor. This advantage for operation and maintenance turns out to be a disadvantage for the detection of the cage rotor bar and endring defects, which means that the detection of cage faults is due to the measurement and analysis of only the stator input signals. The monitoring task in an inverter drive is complicated mainly because the voltage and current waveforms are nonsinusoidal and the high dv/dt values from fast switching inverterd distort the measurements. in this paper, we are going to discuss the detection method of broken rotor bar of squirrel cage induction motor by the motor current signal analysis(MCSA).

단상 Quasi Z-소스 동적전압보상기(DVR) (A Single-Phase Quasi Z-Source Dynamic Voltage Restorer(DVR))

  • 본 논문에서는 새로운 quasi Z-소스 토폴로지의 동적전압보상기를 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 quasi Z-소스 PWM 교류-교류 컨버터를 기반으로 하고 있으며, 입력단과 출력단은 공통 접지이고, 연속적인 입력전류 모드(CCM)로 동작하는 특징을 가지고 있다. 전원 전압의 sag와 swell을 검출하기 위하여, 피크치 전압 검출기법이 사용되었으며, 제안된 시스템의 동작 원리를 제시하고 회로 해석을 하였다. 제안된 시스템은 30% 전압 swell과 60%의 심한 전압 sag가 발생하여도 과전압과 부족전압에 대하여 순간적으로 보상을 하였으며, 부하전압을 정현파의 정격전압으로 유지할 수 있었다. PSIM 시뮬레이션과 실험결과를 통하여 본 연구의 타당성을 입증하였다.

Determination of Heavy Metals in Sea Salt Using Anodic Stripping Voltammetry

  • Salt, as food, is the most essential element for human survival due to its significant physiological functions. Here, we report the simultaneous detection of Pb and Cd in sea salt by square wave anodic stripping voltammetry (SWASV). Stripping voltammetric measurements were conducted using a manufactured rotating disk electrode system (MRDES). The detection limit was $3.6{\pm}0.18{\mu}gL^{-1}$ for Pb and $3.9{\pm}0.37{\mu}gL^{-1}$ Cd in NaCl solution. When the pH increased from 5.5 to 8.5, the peak currents of Pb and Cd decreased. At a pH of 8.3, the ratio of the current drop compared with that at a pH of 5.5 was 0.6 for Pb and 0.73 for Cd. The concentrations corrected by the current drop are in agreement with the concentrations obtained with ICP (inductively coupled plasma). This system demonstrates the reliable detection of heavy metals in aqueous media and, at a high $Na^+$ concentration, the successful application for the determination of Pb and Cd in sea salts.

순환종양세포 검출 기술 (Current Methods of Circulating Tumor Cell Detection)

  • Liquid biopsy, the analysis of circulating biomarkers from peripheral blood, such as circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and circulating tumor DNA, and exosomes, offers a less invasive, new source of cancer-derived materials that may reflect the status of the disease better and thereby contribute to personalized treatment. Recent advances in microfluidics and molecular analysis technologies have resulted in greatly improved CTC enumeration and detection. In this article, we review commercially available technologies used to isolate CTCs from peripheral blood, including immunoaffinity and label-free, physical property-based isolation methods. Although enormous technological progress has been made, especially within the last decade, only a few CTC detection methods have been approved for routine clinical use. Here, we provide an overview of the current CTC isolation methods and examples of their potential application for early diagnosis, prognosis, treatment monitoring, and prediction of resistance to cancer therapy. Furthermore, the challenges that remain to be addressed before such tools are implemented for routine use in clinical settings are discussed.

  • The delivery using drones has been attracting attention because it can innovatively reduce the delivery time from the time of order to completion of delivery compared to the current delivery system, and there have been pilot projects conducted for safe drone delivery. However, the current drone delivery system has the disadvantage of limiting the operational efficiency offered by fully autonomous delivery drones in that drones mainly deliver goods to pre-set landing sites or delivery bases, and the final delivery is still made by humans. In this paper, to overcome these limitations, we propose obstacle detection and landing site selection algorithm based on a vision sensor that enables safe drone landing at the delivery location of the product orderer, and experimentally prove the possibility of station-to-door delivery. The proposed algorithm forms a 3D map of point cloud based on simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) technology and presents a grid segmentation technique, allowing drones to stably find a landing site even in places without prior information. We aims to verify the performance of the proposed algorithm through streaming data received from the drone.

  • Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) cache poisoning is a MAC layer attack that can only be carried out when an attacker is connected to the same local network as the target machines. ARP is not a new problem, but wireless network introduces a new attack point and more vulnerable to the attack. The attack on wireless network cannot be detected by current detection tool installed on wired network. In order to detect the ARP poisoning attack, there must be a ARP poisoning detection tool for wireless LAN environment. A Robust Method for Speech Replay Attack Detection

  • Spoofing attacks, especially replay attacks, pose great security challenges to automatic speaker verification (ASV) systems. Current works on replay attacks detection primarily focused on either developing new features or improving classifier performance, ignoring the effects of feature variability, e.g., the channel variability. In this paper, we first establish a mathematical model for replay speech and introduce a method for eliminating the negative interference of the channel. Then a novel feature is proposed to detect the replay attacks. To further boost the detection performance, four post-processing methods using normalization techniques are investigated. We evaluate our proposed method on the ASVspoof 2017 dataset. The experimental results show that our approach outperforms the competing methods in terms of detection accuracy. More interestingly, we find that the proposed normalization strategy could also improve the performance of the existing algorithms.

누수탐사에 의한 유량분석 및 보수의 경제적 효과 (Analysis of Flow and Economic Benefit Through Water Leakage Detection and Repair)

  • Field measurement data on water leakage are not readily available and it causes inaccurate assessment of water demand and poor supply planning. In this study, the procedure for leakage detection and unaccounted water calculation is proposed and applied to a city. The city has suffered from the significant amount of leak water and the financial loss as a result. Measurements were made for pressure and flow at 18 locations before and after the repair. Repair of the leakage increased pressure up to $2.0kgf/cm^2$ and saved 17.1% of water supply from distribution reservoirs. Monetary value of annual water savings for the entire city amounts to 1 billion won. It is believed that leakage detection and data analysis conducted in this study will contribute to the change of current practice and to the establishment of better water supply management system.

분산 전원의 고립 운전 검출 기법의 개발 (Development of a New Islanding Detection Method for Distributed Resources)

  • The islanding detection for distributed resources (DR) becomes an important and emerging issue in power system protection since the distributed generator installations are rapidly increasing and most of the installed systems are interconnected with distribution network. In order to avoid the negative impacts from islanding operations of DR on protection, operation and management of distribution system, it is necessary to effectively detect the islanding operations of DR and rapidly disconnect it from distribution network. Generally, it is difficult to detect islanding operation by monitoring only one system parameter This paper presents a new logic based islanding detection method for distributed resources(DR) which are interconnected with distribution network. The proposed method detects the islanding operation by monitoring four system parameter: voltage variation, phase displacement, frequency variation, and the variation of total harmonic distortion(THD) of current; therefore, it effectively detects island operation of DR unit operating in parallel with the distribution network. We also verified the efficiency of the proposed algorithm using the radial distribution network of IEEE 34 bus model.

  • In this paper, a fault section detection algorithm to be considered variety measurement devices is proposed in ungrounded diatribution network. Ungrounded network is different from grounded netork. It's that a fault current doesn't generate when a single grounded fault by characteristic of ungrounded network. So, a fault section detection is very difficult. Thus, in this paper, a fault section detection method is proposed by data from variety measurement devices. The method is proved by matlap simulink.
